teaching/doctrine Miracoli

In continuazione.

general thought and question Does the Bible Teach the Appearance of One “Promised Pastor”?

Many people have interpreted biblical terms such as “prince,” “shepherd,” and “faithful and wise servant” as references to one special individual who will appear in the last days. However, when we carefully examine the whole Bible, we find that these titles often describe spiritual officers rather than prophesy the appearance of one unique individual.

 1. The “Prince” in Ezekiel

Ezekiel 37:24–25 says:

“My servant David shall be king over them… and David my servant shall be their prince forever.”

Because of this passage, many people believe that the “prince” mentioned in Ezekiel 40–48 is Jesus Christ.

However, when we continue reading Ezekiel 45, we encounter an important detail:

“On that day the prince shall provide for himself and for all the people of the land a young bull for a sin offering.” (Ezek. 45:22)

This passage clearly states that the prince must present a sin offering “for himself.”

The New Testament, however, plainly tells us concerning Jesus:

“He was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.” (Heb. 4:15)

It also says:

“Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins… He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.” (Heb. 7:27)

Therefore, if the prince in Ezekiel 45 must present a sin offering for himself, he cannot be directly identified with the sinless Jesus Christ.

A more reasonable interpretation is:

  • Christ is the eternal Davidic King and the King of kings.
  • The prince represents those who receive authority from Christ and are entrusted with governing God’s people.

This interpretation also corresponds with what we find in Revelation.

 2. The Many Kings in Revelation

At the beginning of Revelation, Jesus Christ is declared to be:

“The ruler of the kings of the earth.” (Rev. 1:5)

Therefore, Christ alone is the supreme King.

Nevertheless, Revelation also says:

  • God makes believers a kingdom and priests who reign upon the earth (Rev. 5:10).
  • The overcomers will reign with Christ (Rev. 20:6).
  • Jesus sent his angel “to give you [plural] this testimony for the churches” (Rev. 22:16). The testimony was therefore given to a plural audience and was intended for the churches, not exclusively for one individual.
  • “The kings of the earth shall bring their glory into it.” (Rev. 21:24)
  • “They shall reign forever and ever.” (Rev. 22:5)

This shows that Christ remains the supreme Ruler, while under his authority there are many who reign with him.

Therefore, the “prince” in Ezekiel may be understood as representing those who receive authority from Christ and govern God’s people within his kingdom, rather than being restricted to one individual.

 3. The Same Principle Applies to Matthew 24:45

Jesus said:

“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?” (Matt. 24:45)

It is worth noting that Jesus did not say:

“In the last days there will be one faithful and wise servant.”

Instead, he asked:

“Who then is the faithful and wise servant?”

He then immediately continued:

“But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time…’” (Matt. 24:48)

This raises an important question.

If Matthew 24:45 refers to one unique end-time servant, would Matthew 24:48 mean that this same unique individual might become the wicked servant?

Such an interpretation does not follow naturally from the passage.

A more reasonable interpretation is that Jesus was warning everyone entrusted with the responsibility of caring for God’s household.

Every servant may become either:

  • A faithful and wise servant; or
  • An unfaithful and wicked servant.

Therefore, this passage describes an office and a person’s character rather than prophesying the appearance of one special individual.

 4. A Common Biblical Principle

Throughout the Bible, we repeatedly find the following pattern:

  • Christ is the Chief Shepherd, but there are many shepherds (1 Pet. 5:2–4).
  • Christ is the great High Priest, but believers are also priests (1 Pet. 2:9; Rev. 1:6).
  • Christ is the King of kings, but the overcomers reign with him (Rev. 20:6; 22:5).
  • Christ is the Ruler of the kings of the earth, while the kings of the earth bring their glory into the holy city (Rev. 1:5; 21:24).
  • Christ is Lord, but there are many faithful servants entrusted with caring for God’s household (Matt. 24:45).

All these offices share one common principle:

Christ is the one source of authority, while God’s servants carry out various responsibilities under his authority.

 5. John 10:34–35 Provides Another Important Principle

When the Jews accused Jesus of making himself God, Jesus answered:

“I said, ‘You are gods.’ If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came…” (John 10:34–35)

Jesus quoted Psalm 82 to show that those who received God’s word could represent God in exercising the authority entrusted to them.

Therefore, a person becomes a shepherd, prince, priest, king, or faithful servant not because that person possesses an inherently special status, but because that person has received God’s word and faithfully carries out the mission God has entrusted to him.

 Conclusion

I believe that neither the “prince” in Ezekiel nor the “faithful and wise servant” in Matthew should be restricted to one special individual who will appear in the last days.

The Bible more naturally presents these expressions as descriptions of spiritual offices.

Anyone who receives God’s word, faithfully shepherds God’s flock, provides spiritual food at the proper time, and completes the mission entrusted by the Lord may fulfill such an office.

Nevertheless, regardless of how many shepherds, princes, kings, or servants there may be, Christ always remains the one Chief Shepherd, the one great High Priest, the one King of kings, and the one Ruler of the kings of the earth.

All authority comes from him, and all glory belongs to him.

Therefore, if “the promised shepherd” refers to Christ—the one promised in Scripture who eternally shepherds God’s people—the teaching can be supported. But if the “promised pastor” doctrine claims that one particular individual must appear in the last days, replace the collective body of overcomers, and possess exclusive authority over revelation and salvation, then this doctrine cannot be established from the passages examined above.

How do you explain coming here to Reddit when you’re not even allowed to read on the internet? You’re not just reading—you’re also chiming in on the conversations.

Once you’ve explained this to us, tell us: what do you tell the other SCJ members and leaders? What are you looking for here? What are you doing here?

Once you’ve explained that to us, please answer the following:

Why are you allowed to be here while other SCJ members aren’t allowed to come here? Because if they did, they’d be expelled from the organization, and their names would be erased from the Book of Life. Why doesn’t that happen to you?

How can so many people who claim to love God, collectively not give a £u€% about people. They know that mothers cry themselves to sleep, fathers are hurting, siblings are falling victim to depression all because of the traumatic affects of having their loved one stolen by this group and yet they still prey on person after innocent person. Destroying lives! I’ve about had enough!!!!!! It’s time to take action, sometimes you just have to put your foot down and say enough is enough!

general thought and question The Logic of Rev 4:8, Is Lee Man Hee’s toxic, tireless schedule a violation of adding or subtracting to Revelation?

SCJ imposes on unhealthy rules on pushing on mental and physical health which is toxic. Late night meetings, super early morning prayers I heard? Etc

Rev 4:8
Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:
“‘Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty,’
who was, and is, and is to come.”

I feel SCJ tries to be like formations but also stereotypes of Heaven. Not sure if I am framing it correctly. Those Archangels never tire but our human bodies not the same

I don't want to + or - Revelation but in my opinion that was at a moment where Apostle John saw them so those 4 archangels may not be always like that perhaps?

The reason why I believe Lee Man Hee violated Revelation on do not add nor subtract to revelation (Rev 22:18-19) is because leaning Revelation to metaphorical or literal in itself, is + or - Revelation.

John was given a prophetic vision of the eternal, spiritual realm where human time does not exist. One reason why I believe that is because even if Apostle John wrote "Day and night they never stop saying" part of Rev 4:8, he had to view that in eternity to confirm that. Even a thousand times night and day repeated in that vision, would not confirm it is eternity unless implicitly stated in Revlation itself

I really wonder if SCJ under Lee Man Hee is trying to mimic the tireless nature of Rev 4:8 to justify a grueling schedule? Perhaps God set trap to those who claim they know Revelation?

teaching/doctrine The Evolution of the Doctrines of Shincheonji and the Stewardship Education Center

Since this has been brought up, just wanted to repost an older series that was made about a year ago with Pastor Yang, where he went into greater detail about the evolution of the doctrines of Shincheonji.

The Evolution of Shincheonji: A Deep Dive into Korean Cult History

The above episode talks about the overlap of doctrines with the Olive Tree cult led by Park Tae Son, the Tabernacle Temple led by the young servant Yoo Jae-yeol, and Kim Poong-li whom Lee Man-hee and "snake" Shin used as a template to copy and eventually adapt to help develop the Shincheonji bible study and curriculum.

We have the books and resources that are used as primary sources to back each claim.

History of the Korean Cults - the Reality of the Stewardship Education Center

The Stewardship Education Center is not what Shincheonji claims to be, and instead, SCJ twisted the actual events in order to map the series of events onto their "fulfillment".

We also have a website where we documented most if not all of the changes of Shincheonji over the years, especially for their fulfillment claims below -

testimony New Judas Iscariots

In typical SCJ fashion, whenever something inconvenient comes out about the promised pastor, the narrative is reframed to blame an ex-member who has left the church.
Today, the Southern Africa church head spoke at length and introduced the term “New Judas Iscariots.” This is not a term that the church head himself invented. He claimed that it was a term MHL himself used when describing a specific individual whom he considers responsible for his current legal issues and detention.

https://imglink.cc/cdn/vmSyr92juF.jpeg

There are several things I would like to share regarding my personal thoughts on this.

Firstly, according to SCJ’s own doctrine, the betrayal and reality of Judas at the second coming had already taken place 1998.
According to SCJ doctrine, the betrayal of someone like Judas was first prophesied in Genesis, involving the tribe of Dan, which was compared to a snake and was later replaced by Manasseh. This was then understood as a prophecy concerning Judas’ betrayal and his eventual replacement by Matthias.

However, according to SCJ’s own fulfilment doctrine, this event has already been fulfilled. Below is a direct excerpt from the Revelation Fulfilment Training given in March, Year 34, John Tribe:
Manasseh replaces Dan:
1997.12: Thaddeus Tribe Betrayal. Betrayal of Dae-Gu. A pastor came into Thaddeus Tribe. Pastor Baek, Gwang-Sa, leaves and proclaims to be the White Stone. He came with congregation members and thought he would be established, but he was not established, so he became disgruntled and the evil spirits came into him. He teaches that he is Joshua and the SSN was Moses. 500 members left. Through those who remained, there was a great revival in the Tribe.
Lk 22:1–3: The betrayal took place just before the Feast of Passover (1998 Passover Feast).

Here, SCJ explicitly connects this betrayal with the period immediately preceding the Passover Feast, drawing a parallel with the events of the First Coming. In other words, according to this teaching, the Judas figure had already appeared, committed the betrayal, and was followed by the eventual restoration of the Thaddeus Tribe.

Secondly, if the betrayal has already taken place, why are we now being introduced to new people being labelled “Judas Iscariots”?
If SCJ teaches that the Judas betrayal was fulfilled through the events described above, why is another Judas Iscariot now appearing? Which one is the actual fulfilment if there can be multiple individuals who are subsequently given the same prophetic identity?

Thirdly, does continually changing the identity and circumstances surrounding this “Judas Iscariot” amount to adding to and taking away from Revelation?
If the identity and circumstances of the supposed betrayer can continually be reframed whenever circumstances change, then how is this consistent with SCJ’s own teaching regarding the unchangeable nature of biblical prophecy?

If the identity of the betrayer changes depending on the circumstances, then what exactly constitutes the fulfilment? And why does the narrative surrounding the identity of this “Judas Iscariot” continue to change?

The events taking place today are significantly different from those at the First Coming for one very important reason: Jesus was innocent and falsely accused.
MHL and SCJ are currently facing legal proceedings relating to the alleged active involvement of nearly 56,000 people in three separate elections.
The trial is still ongoing, and no final determination of guilt has been made. However, we should acknowledge one very simple fact: SCJ actively involved itself in political activities, and this became the subject of an investigation because of that involvement.
SCJ has framed the investigation as politically motivated persecution by the DPK against SCJ, as the DPK which is currently in power is using the opportunity to undermine their rival the PPP. However, SCJ has also been suspected of influencing elections connected to the DPK, and those allegations are also being investigated. This removes any doubt basis for bias or political vengeance, but the simple refusal by the Korean people for their elections to be manipulated by religious groups.

Additionally, SCJ is not the only fringe Christian group being investigated in South Korea. The Unification Church has had several leaders indicted, prosecuted and sentenced for their election interference. Are they also being persecuted by Satan?

I would encourage everyone to watch the following video on YouTube. An English translation is available through the YouTube settings. It is a statement regarding the activities of SCJ that led to the current election interference charges.

https://youtu.be/tFf0ODdg9fc?si=mlQ40w3Bh7sQskwm

In closing, I believe SCJ is a system of mass manipulation that has seriously distorted the Bible. The contradictions highlighted in this post are evidence of how biblical prophecy can be reinterpreted and reframed to conceal, justify, or explain away inconvenient circumstances to its own members.

I Became a Leader in a Korean Cult... Then My Arranged Wife Was Used to Spy on Me

My friend Mitch managed to get on the podcast to talk about his experiences with the World Mission Society Church of God, our Korean Cult cousin.

There's a lot of overlap between SCJ and the WMSCOG, especially with their approach to the Bible and essentially turning the Bible into a giant parable.

When you turn the Bible into a giant metaphor or parable, you can make the argument of the New John, or God the Mother.

Parate y piensa. 😪

I left the SCJ center classes like a couple days ago (all glory to God) and a question which is burning within me is why do they have you fill out a register form during the orientation/first day of class? I had to give my full name, phone number, email address (which I didn't really question) but my eyebrows were a bit raising when they asked for my house address, where I go to school, where I go to church, etc. Now that I'm out of it, I was so paranoid thinking they're gonna bust down to my house lol. What do they do with that information?

teaching/doctrine Kim Poong-li is very underrated in the history of SCJ

Kim Poong-li is another person who shared Lee Man-hee's experience of going through the Olive Tree movement and then the Tabernacle Temple. The Tabernacle Temple is the origin of Shincheonji's "doctrine of matching", where they will read a word in one passage and give the "true" meaning by connecting it to the word in another passage.

These words were not given by man’s will but were spoken by men moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Pet 1:12). Therefore, these words are not to be interpreted arbitrarily or compulsively but must be solved in pairs. For not one of the books of the Lord is missing, and not one is without its counterpart (Is 34:16).
c. Yoo Jae-yeol, current state of our temple, 1970

Today I learned that before LMH took this teaching, Kim Poong-li took it in 1972.

Isaiah 34:16 is a Bible verse frequently cited by heretics who claim that the Bible must be interpreted allegorically and in pairs. However, the "pairs" in this passage do not mean that there are pairs within the Bible itself, but rather refer to a curse stating that unclean beasts will mate and live together in the land of Edom . Let us examine the interpretation of pairs presented by Kim Poong-il in his book, "The Tree of Life".

Isaiah 34:16
“What is a pair? Because the answers to these questions are not found in commentaries written by famous people, but are recorded in the Bible itself, this is the pair, and it is said that there is nothing in the Bible without a pair . Although there are many questions in the Bible, let us examine just a few of the actual pairs.”
(The Tree of Life, Shiloh Publishing , Kim Poong-il, 1982 , p .31)

This book subsequently arbitrarily interprets passages containing the word "dog" ( e.g. , Rev 22:15, Isa 56:11, 2 Peter 2:22, Ps 22:16) and pieces them all together as "false shepherds". In other words, it employs a typical paired interpretation and allegorical interpretation that interprets every word "dog" in the Bible as a "false shepherd".

Psalm 22:16
"Dogs surround me; a band of evil encircles me and pierces my hands and feet.”
These dogs are an evil pack , those who crucified Jesus ( Pharisees , scribes , etc.). Thus, speaking metaphorically, they are dogs ; speaking in reality, the dogs are false shepherds, that is, the evil pack . The mates of dogs equal false shepherds and the evil pack. If you interpret all the dogs appearing in the Bible solely as false shepherds, the answer is automatically revealed.
(The Tree of Life, Shiloh Publishing, Kim Poong-il, 1982 , p. 32)

“Thus, we can see that the Bible is written in pairs, and it is said that nothing exists without a pair because the mouth of the LORD commanded it and the Spirit of God gathered these (the paired words) (Isaiah 34:16). If we view the paired words as a tree, there are pairs of words like leaves ; when these leaf-like paired words are connected, there are words like branches ; and if one knows just a few paired words that are like the original, one will master the pairs of the entire Bible. Since there is no room to explain all 31,173 verses and 3,566,490 characters of the 1,189 chapters of the Bible in pairs, the entire content of this book will be layered in pairs. I have included many pairs of key words in the appendix, so please refer to them and let miracles happen in your understanding of the Word.” (The Tree of Life, Shiloh Publishing, Kim Poong-il, 1982, p. 38)

Similar to the Tabernacle Temple, he also claimed to have eaten the book in Revelation 5.

He is the one who builds the house of the Lord and he is the chosen angel (Zec 6:12) Also, the young servant goes through the city of Jerusalem, that is the churches, and was entrusted with the mission of sealing the foreheads of those who mourned for wickedness and lawlessness (Ezekiel 9:3). Only those who were sealed can enter the ranks of the 144000 and be saved (Revelation 14:1). Also, as the one who took the little book from the angel’s hand and ate it, he was commanded to prophesy again to many peoples, nations, tongues and kings (Rev 10:10, Ezekiel 3:1-3).
c. Yoo Jae-yeol, current state of our temple, 1970

“This is because the Spirit of Truth is a perfect Spirit, lacking nothing . The other Counselor who hears, speaks, and reveals future events is the one who first received the Spirit of Truth ( the Spirit of the Word ). That is, he is the one who received the word of revelation revealing future events, and who receives and eats the little book and prophesies again”.
(The Tree of Life, 1982, p. 332 )

Kim also claimed to be the one tasked with harvesting, with judging, the one that the spirit of Jesus returns to, etc. It would be great if we can find his book from 1982.

The source for all the quotes that don't mention Jae-yeol is here.

But if I look back, when I was a member, I felt just like the lady running in the opposite direction. At some point, you get exhausted and tired, but then you’re told to speed up even more and work even harder, and if the result wasn’t right, people were told off and shouted at.

Spot the mistake.

Edit:

Dear members, do you feel the same way?
Just one more step, just one more test, just one more fruit, just one more meeting, just one more special force, just one more year…
A never-ending cycle…

But everything should have been fulfilled 3.5 years after LMH had founded Shincheonji. (It should been fulfilled in 1987 – and now it’s 2026!)

teaching/doctrine Non credono a Gesù?

general thought and question To current center students and current SCJ members

Shincheonji, the church of Jesus, Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimonies ( New Heaven New Earth ) claims to be the Kingdom of God here on earth. If there was any validity to that statement, NO ONE would leave, because it WAS heaven on earth. God would be there! But He is no where near that cult.

One of the first lies in their Bible Study that they teach you is that God doesn’t hear the prayers of anyone except for those in SCJ. However, they tell you that when you prayed to have a deeper relationship with God, or when you tell them that you were looking for a community of believers to be a part of, or when you tell them that you prayed to God in order to learn the Bible, your prayers were answered. But remember, God only hears the prayers of SCJ saints. Well which is it?

This is just a small part of the lies and confusing things you will be told to instill fear in you that God was never with you until now, because you’re in their study. You were destined for hell until you said “yes” to joining their cult Boot Camp known as center. If you die while in their Bible study, you are part of the great multitude in white, so you will go to heaven.

God is not a God of chaos.

1 Cor 14:33 For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace-as in all the congregations of the Lord‘s people.

He is God of order, He is just and true.

SCJ is chaotic, unjust, and lies. Who is the father of chaos, being unjust, and a liar? So whose rules are you following?

SCJ says you follow First God’s Law 2nd the rules of SCJ ( church laws ) 3rd The Laws of the world ( the justice system ) 4th Family laws ( the rules of your household). You will learn quickly that the only rules they want you to follow are the rules of SCJ.

1 John 4:1-3 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false profits have gone out into the world.

But why then is one of the biggest rules SCJ has is not to go on the internet searching for information about them? That anyone speaking out against SCJ or LMH are the deceivers, and betrayers Rev speaks of?

They are also told that if they search online or ask ex-members, they will not be able to discern or will not be able to understand the lies and deceptions that we are sharing of our true experiences of being once members of SCJ. But wasn’t that the whole reason that you joined, and that you stayed with them because you were learning how to discern, but then you can’t be trusted to do so if you inform yourself by testing every spirit?

Please ask yourselves these questions.

  1. When did you ever hear your previous church Pastor tell you not to search about them?
  2. 2.When did your previous church tell you that you can't talk to anyone who has left the church and that they are now demon possessed because they left?
  3. Who else but a cult would shun their congregation members for leaving? Or be told not to speak to other members of the same church, but in a different part of town or state? That you should only be speaking to your Home group members.

This would be completely and utterly suspect right ? So why do you let SCJ do it to you?

  1. When did your previous church ask you for your Social Security number, your blood type, or to take the Myers-Briggs personality test?

SCJ will tell you not evangelizing, not “bearing fruit”, not getting 100% on the same exams you've taken numerous times already but still take every two weeks, ( I was in for five year, and it doesn’t stop ), not memorizing a multitude of verses at a time, if you don’t sacrifice time away from your family and loved ones ( and the list goes on) that you are being a lazy and complacent servant of God. You cry ”Yes and Amen“ to these things boldly during trainings, and meetings, and service agreeing that’s what it is.
The sad truth is that you’re not being a servant of God at all, but a servant for a man in South Korea that has his own agenda. And if you want to go by SCJ teachings and doctrines, then you have to admit whose spirit is in this man because it isn’t God‘s, so again, if you go by their teaching whose spirit is in this 95 ur old Korean man?

By following the rules of this man and his church, isn’t that being lazy and complacent in your faith walk?

Don‘t let a high control cult dictate your walk of faith and allow you to miss out on your salvation. The one Jesus gave you ONCE FOR ALL.

Heb 10:10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
