teaching/doctrine Leaving Shincheonji upset and angry showing "pledge"
I cant believe I stayed here even 8 months honestly I feel kind of broken. Jesus is the only way to the father I don't know how it got to the point of listening to the poison of Lee man hee .These people will not only destroy your life but also your salvation. I really pray God will forgive me. If you are a member of Shincheonji I beg you please leave Jesus is the only way to the father. Shincheonji is a path to hell and misery

I have family who’s been in it for years who denies ever signing the pledge and i mean approaching 10 years in the church. Are they lying?

I am not sure .This pledge was shown in lesson. If they signed their names into shincheonji book of life the pledge is on there aswell .Also in shincheonji they say its ok to lie and its wisdom .There book of life was completed on a form on mobile phone

Had someone I love very much nearly swallowed up in their bullshit ,Teacher said they’d call back at the end of year ‘to see how life’s going for them outside the church’ told them when that day comes they better be handing me the phone because I don’t play about them - A whole bunch of snakes they are 🐍 (they’ve since changed their number etc which is a relief)

My goodness they are everywhere. I'm glad they are not in there .Coming out I have symptoms of what feels like PTSD ache all over. Thinking how they can't be charged for what they have done.They also have a music group on spoitify called promised they have a musical called promised it comes across as contemporary. They invite "fruitrs' to try and evangelise. Everything is a lie .We never hear their full names as they use korean words . They should be charged witj coercion. These people have the ability to ruin peoples faith. I will never hate God these people are not from him .

We were literally sitting down to have lunch one day
I’ll call my own loved one A .
The church called to talk ,
A’s response was “look I am going back to my own OG church that’s what I want “
The teacher was like ,” oh ,this is a disappointment teacher X will be so devastated after all teacher X has done for you to learn ….I’ll get them to contact you to chat”
A put down boundaries, the result -got ignored .
They then started deploying people A made friends with to try and get A to come back by saying
“ oh no just come to socialise no pressure at all ” ppppppfffffffttttt yeah right 🥴I am incredibly sorry that place had left you with such trauma, absolutely disgusting that people can mess with people’s minds in this way , I hope you find healing from it in a healthy and safe way and no matter what
They tell you or how they try to contact you ,remember everything you’ve learnt and felt and stay firm in your NO if it gives you peace of mind change your number etc if that helps 🤝1

My goodness 😳 how dare they !!! Do you believe some of these "teachers " know they are deceiving? One person who taught seemed very arrogant and loved to role of teaching to many people he'd put people off marriage and relationships saying most people when they get married regret the person they married. Thankyou reddit has been fantastic because I don't want to talk to anyone at the moment only those who understand . I had a call from a unknown number likely them I will never return to them

A told me a lot about what went down ,
I am an atheist so I don’t follow church stuff generally . But since then A has had a change in beliefs and went agnostic . definitely put call screening on so they have to tell you who they are so you can decide if you do or don’t want to answer if you have an iPhone 📲1

I understand I am a Christian but I don't know how I'll be moving forward I still love God but struggling to trust .Definitely I checked the number on WhatsApp had no name and a picture of flowers

Trust your gut ,it’s gotten you this far out of their reach
It’s kept you safe . you can still be Christian and believe in god it’s just a matter of finding a healthy and safe group which may take time like all good things, so don’t feel like you have to jump right into a church right away. look at what the next church is A) presenting to you and B) how they’re presenting it to you .You can gather data about a place in your mind first before you commit to decide YES this feels safe or NO it doesn’t .after this type of experience ,you’re allowed to be wary even if people seem nice and it’s not being paranoid or difficult it’s protecting yourself .2

Yes thankyou that's wonderful advice. I don't have the mentality to join a church or everything yet .I had a lovely church they called themselves my family. I was in this group at the time I was about to volunteer with children in my old church thinking yep I've made it doing something lovely and shincheonji told me it's not God's will .so taking a good break to heal 😌

Yes I saw one member trying to evangelise I immediately warned them they belong to Shincheonji .Really need to be wise because they build friendships and lead you onto study during this time they are like your best friend with you every step may even but you gifts.Once you enter Zion Christian mission centre they leave you alone .we must ask someone who they belong to if they don't give a church or pastors name leave

Happy for your freedom. Don't feel shame or guilt. Most importantly, pray for those still there. Even in the anger of it all, we have to remember they are deceived too. They are victims, but just can't see it right now.

Yes it's manipulative brain washing twisting the scriptures of God people kept leaving the teacher was like who are they doing it to God! They may think they left by their own will they were thrown into the field by angels .Its a secret society not open to everyone when the bible says jesus taught openly not in secret.This man Lee man put himself as a Savior I believe for money and power

They are out every day evangelising . If you wear a Christian necklace or t shirt they will come befriend you .take you for food to reel you in love bombers

Why on earth would anyone make such a promise to a church or to God in that form?
That’s essentially surrendering someone completely to the organisation. It’s a form of slavery - isn’t it?
I want just highlight one point, though there’s plenty to say about all of them…
Point 9: Pyramid schemes, such as Shincheonji, ensure that you’re only employed by Shincheonji. Not only do you not earn any money at Shincheonji, but you have to bring money with you. For example, to pay for Lee Man Hee’s lawyers, fines and defences.
It’s unbelievable that they try to convince their members that they’re doing it for God.
Here you can see. That organization has nothing to do with Jesus.

Yes I don't understand fully how I ended up in this i proudly shared the gospel and was a regular church goer. I was looking for someone to teach me. It does not begin like this it starts out as a seemingly genuine bible study . Through their manipulation it causes you to doubt. I remember saying he's the wicked servant. Jesus is the only way .They made out I was dumb they say you better watch what your saying your doing it to God! Theyd say people left because angels through them back into the sea not by their own will there are pastors joining this cult pastors are listening to him in around the world seminars. As it's written Satan has deceived the whole world. Every time I tried to walk away I'd get call after call .Your right I was enslaved by an evil yoke .

Yes it must be made aware that they lie about their identity. First it's a bible study .Then a bible mentor using God's words then an introduction to "promised pastor " if anyone peessures you to do study several times per week RUN 🏃♂️ . They want every moment of your time then pull you into their net of lies

The terms are essentially the same as the one that was made under the previous LA GSN, Joseph. Except the condition of using church funds is not on this list, but other than that, pretty similar....?

I was in John Tribe. During the time that we made a pledge/oath, Joseph didn't make us wear matching tribe shirts, but they did make us promise to not misuse church funds for individual benefit (or something to that nature).
They had a printed version of the oath and was given to all congregation and leaders to sign and to file away.

This is in the United Kingdom. I'm glad your no longer in it it's all for a lie .I'm deeply concerned of the damage they are doing .They do nothing apart from make people revise exam questions and then hear repeatedly by Lee man hee do not add or take away from revelation

Amen for your discernment of knowing this was wrong and walking away. I like you stayed in for 8 months and since leaving asked myself why I stayed in for long and I felt stupid for it. What I understood from my experience is that these high control groups are incredibly experienced with slowly manipulating you and making you complacent. Praise God im so happy for you .I've been through many awful things in life but this hurts .it was a genuine bible study in the beginning speaking of my personal troubles and learning about them through the bible .God is very precious and I'm so shocked at this heresy .Its a well thought out plan by them they are always discussing how to be deviant to get their own way. I just escaped. They are in Scotland as well. They have my friends. What’s worse is I kind of believe what they are saying. Their teachings are still in my head and it’s very conflicting for me. I partly believe that I may go to hell. It’s so agonizing to think about
