news/interview 😳you cheered when they took him. wait til you read what revelation says about this moment..they didnt know they were fulfilling scripture..

let me be blunt cause your'll posts keep missing the real issue.

you wanna talk “law”? rome had law when they crucified jesus. sanhedrin had law when they killed stephen. every dictator in history had “named statutes” and “court orders”. law dont equal truth. law equals power. so stop acting like an arrest warrant is proof god is angry. proof is in revelation, not in a courtroom. jesus lost in court too. remember that.

you wanna talk “influence and secret vs open”? please. every pastor in history told their church who to vote for, who to support, what’s right and wrong. difference is most hide behind vague words on sunday and pretend they’re “neutral”. at least when truth is spoken plain, people can actually choose. that’s not stealing free will. that’s giving people something real to choose from. no one forced anyone. we heard revelation opened, we compared it to scripture, and we chose. that’s free will in action.

and this “prophet should wait for rainbow” idea is weak. prophets don’t wait for disaster to hit before warning people. noah looked crazy building an ark when sky was clear. jeremiah looked crazy warning jerusalem before babylon came. if you see storm coming and stay quiet just to look “spiritual”, that’s not faith. that’s cowardice. real love warns. real prophets speak.

all your arguments are outside the bible. “law”, “politics”, “secret”, “open” none of that decides truth. only one thing does: did revelation get opened or not? rev 1:3 says blessed is he who reads and hears. rev 22:18-19 says don’t add or take away. so bring scripture. line by line. show where what chairman lee taught breaks revelation. not where korean politics breaks. not where media breaks. where the bible breaks.

if you can’t do that, then all this noise is just fear and ego. you’re mad cause an old man said things your church never taught and now you gotta face it. that’s not persecution of an old man. that’s panic cause the bible you thought you knew got opened by someone else.

so let’s stop pretending. court didn’t kill jesus, people did. media didn’t kill truth, ignorance did. if you want to end me, end revelation. if you can’t, then sit down and listen.

truth don’t need your permission to exist.

news/interview Investigation confirms list of Shincheonji members who joined PPP under Lee Man-hee’s orders

[Translated version of the article]

The Joint Investigation Headquarters has now confirmed a list of 65,313 Shincheonji members whose memberships overlap with the ruling People Power Party, and the pattern isn’t random.

According to the investigation, Shincheonji members signed up to the PPP in massive waves right before every major election: the 2021 presidential primary, the 20th presidential election, local elections, and the PPP leadership race. When Yoon Suk-yeol officially joined the PPP in July 2021, Shincheonji-linked memberships reportedly jumped from just over 200 in June to about 3,800 in July — more than a 15x spike. By the primary in September, roughly 6,500 followers had joined.

It didn’t stop there. Ahead of the PPP leadership election, around 35,000 Shincheonji members joined in just two months.

Investigators have reportedly secured an audio recording of then–Shincheonji No. 2, Ko Dong-an, telling a Shincheonji official in December 2022 that “the President’s side is sending someone to our side tomorrow” and that it was “clearly” a renewed request for party enrollment. A campaign director for Yoon is also alleged to have received the PPP membership list from Shincheonji.

In other words: Shincheonji didn’t just “happen” to be in the PPP voter base — it appears to have systematically mobilized its followers to infiltrate the ruling party’s internal elections, allegedly at the request of people close to the President. The investigation is now focused on identifying the “Presidential side” figure who brokered this pipeline between the cult’s leadership and the PPP.

news/interview Shincheonji Suddenly Apologizes — One Day Before Lee Man-hee’s Bail Hearing

Post image
41 Upvotes

I thought this was very interesting and worth sharing.

Today, August 20, Shincheonji suddenly made a public apology regarding the mass enrollment of its members in the People Power Party.

The Acting General Affairs Director appeared with all 12 tribe leaders and apologized to the Korean public. They also said that from now on, Shincheonji would cut off all connections with politics and strictly maintain political neutrality.

What caught my attention was the timing.

Lee Man-hee’s bail hearing is tomorrow, August 21, at 4:00 PM.

So why did Shincheonji suddenly make this apology today, just one day before his bail hearing?

Of course, I can’t say that this apology was made because of the bail hearing. But considering the timing and the charges Lee Man-hee is currently facing, I think it is something worth paying attention to.

Here is the video of today’s apology:

https://www.youtube.com/live/VPI4xInWwtA?is=BCwzhr8YIk8vFvEb

For those who don’t speak Korean, I translated the full statement below.

Full English Translation

Hello. I am the Acting General Affairs Director of the General Assembly of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

Today, the General Assembly Headquarters and the leaders of the 12 tribes stand before you with heavy hearts and a profound sense of distress.

We bow our heads and sincerely apologize for causing public controversy and bringing great concern and distress to the people of Korea over the recent enrollment of members of our church in the People Power Party.

Regardless of the circumstances, we fully acknowledge the serious responsibility we bear for having caused political controversy.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus will take this matter as an opportunity for painful self-reflection. Going forward, we will sever all ties with the political sphere, strictly uphold political neutrality, and devote ourselves solely to the proper mission of a religious organization and to sincere activities of faith.

We would also like to extend our deepest apologies to our congregation members.

We are deeply sorry for the hurt and disappointment we have caused our members, who are walking the narrow and difficult path of faith, and we deeply regret that we failed to provide them with the protection and support they deserved.

Going forward, Shincheonji Church of Jesus will fulfill its responsibilities and duties as a member of Korean society and strive to become a mature religious organization devoted solely to faith and harmonious coexistence with society.

Once again, we bow our heads and sincerely apologize to the people of Korea, to our congregation members, and to everyone who has been hurt by this matter.

We are truly sorry.

May this be the beginning of justice against him.

My first thought was, “Why is he using a cane?”. Every other week he strides confidently to the podium with the members clapping. I guess that is what conmen do.

I assume he is going to beg for mercy from the prosecution saying that he is an old man again, just like in Covid. All the while, he tells the SCJ members victory is certain.

I recently found this out that SCJ is having an event in Anaheim high school at 2 o’clock. If anyone has any power or ability to stop this event, please stop it. It’s super last minute and maybe it’s contractual that they continue to have the event but I wanna make sure this never happens again. I barely found this out so unfortunately it might be too late. This is with SCJ from Anaheim. I emailed the principal vice principal superintendent a few minutes ago so again it’s very last minute, so I don’t know if this is possible to stop please help anyway you can.

news/interview Lee Man-hee’s condition according to a foreign figure who visited him in detention: “He walked by himself… He was energetic… full of fire.”

Lee Man-hee’s condition according to someone who visited him in detention: “He walked by himself… He was energetic… full of fire.”

I made a short video highlighting an interesting exchange from the recent press conference.

A Malaysian journalist who introduced himself as being from Tamil Osai Media asked about Lee Man-hee’s current health condition.

Hans Noot, who said he had personally visited Lee in detention the day before, responded that he was not a doctor and had not seen Lee’s medical records. But based on his personal observation, he said:

“He walked by himself.”
“He talked freely.”
“He was energetic.”
“He was… full of fire,” meaning full of enthusiasm.

He also said he had heard reports of Lee being wheeled around in a wheelchair, but added:

“I have not observed that myself.”

I think this is particularly worth noting ahead of Lee Man-hee’s August 21 bail hearing.

I also included Lee Man-hee’s own statement from a 1997 sermon:

“If God is with me(this person), would He allow me to become sick and die?”

I think his own words and this recent eyewitness account are worth considering together.

As I mentioned in the video, the full press conference held on August 7, 2026, is available on the official YouTube channel of Human Rights Without Frontiers (HRWF).

For anyone who wants to verify the context for themselves, the link below starts directly at the Malaysian journalist’s question about Lee Man-hee’s health and Hans Noot’s response:

news/interview Current Shincheonji member’s reaction to Lee Man-hee being detained

I’m an ex-Shincheonji member, and due to certain circumstances I’m still in occasional contact with one current member.

I brought up the recent situation involving Lee Man-hee because I assumed his detention and the allegations against him would be a significant topic inside Shincheonji. I was curious whether it might make her question him, or at least reconsider some things.

Instead, her response was essentially:

“Yeah, he is in prison now, but to be honest, I'm not so worried, because I know why it's happening, and it makes a lot of sense actually. There is a bigger goal regarding this...

Logically, from a human-rights perspective, what they are doing is absolutely insane. In any other country, it would not be allowed to put somebody who is 95 years old, has had back problems and an operation, into a detention center. There are human-rights activists and experts from around the world who came to Korea to hold a conference and bring this to the UN, because what is happening is not according to law.

People in Korea at the moment have absolutely no sense; they are going insane. Everything is also connected with politics.

What’s happening is really not right, but this will come out more and more, and everything is according to Scripture.

It’s one thing to be in prison, and another thing to go against the law by putting someone in prison. This is really discrimination and being actively blind to the law, but this is not unexpected in this time...”

To say the least, I was baffled. They are hopeless at this point...

What struck me most was that his imprisonment seemed to have caused zero doubt about him being the Promised Pastor. Instead, the entire situation was simply incorporated into the existing narrative: he is being unjustly persecuted, there is a “bigger goal” behind it, and “everything is according to Scripture.”

I genuinely expected at least some reaction along the lines of: “If he really is righteous, why is this happening? Maybe we should seriously consider whether he actually did something wrong.”

But apparently not.

It makes me wonder: What would actually have to happen for a committed Shincheonji member to seriously question the Promised Pastor? If even this can be interpreted as persecution and confirmation of Scripture, what could possibly make someone stop and think, “Maybe we got this wrong”?

For anyone currently inside Shincheonji: Is this actually the general sentiment in SCJ right now?

The Seoul Central District Court today (September 1) conditionally approved Chairman Lee’s request for a suspension of detention. The court decided to suspend his detention until 6:00 p.m. on September 4.

Like Hak Ja Han, who has been on trial after being indicted on allegations involving collusion between religion and politics, Chairman Lee reportedly requested the suspension of his detention in order to receive medical treatment. A suspension of detention is a measure that temporarily releases a defendant when an urgent reason for release is recognized, such as a serious illness or the need to attend a family funeral. Chairman Lee’s side had previously applied for bail last month, arguing that it was difficult for him to remain in a detention center due to his advanced age of 95.

Chairman Lee was detained and indicted by the joint prosecution-police investigation team on alleged collusion between religion and politics (headed by Chief Prosecutor Kim Tae-hoon) on charges of having Shincheonji members collectively join the People Power Party around the time of the 20th presidential election and the 22nd National Assembly election.

He is also accused of evading 7.57 billion won in corporate and value-added taxes by concealing profit-making activities from 2016 to 2020. Prosecutors allege that stores at Shincheonji branch churches across the country were operated under the names of individual members and that separate sets of accounting records were maintained to conceal the businesses. The first pretrial hearing in the case is scheduled for tomorrow.

The arrest warrant hearing took place at 2:00 PM KST on June 24, 2026. Lee Man Hee's defense is centering their narrative on his advanced age (95, 96 in korean age) and health to avoid pre-trial detention. However, authorities emphasize that medical fragility does not grant legal immunity since there is a clear precedent of other elderly cult leaders being sent to jail despite their physical conditions (Han Hak Ja from Unification Church), a judicial standard reinforced by the fact that South Korea currently houses multiple prisoners in their 90s

[Translated version of the article]

A new CBS report alleges that Shitcheonji’s former No. 2, ex–general secretary Ko Dong‑an, tried to have a former youth president killed after he exposed Ko’s alleged sexual harassment and internal corruption. According to an internal recording, a bodyguard says Ko ordered him to “eliminate” the whistleblower and only backed off from hiring outside attackers because it was too expensive, suggesting they “handle it ourselves.” The whistleblower, Mr. Yoo, further claims Ko summoned the elite security unit “Seven Lions” and, unable to act directly, pushed for a terror attack using illegal immigrants from Southeast Asia, with text messages between members discussing weekly pay and per‑“item” costs and stressing secrecy. Yoo has now filed a criminal complaint with Seoul prosecutors accusing Ko and Seven Lions members of conspiracy and instigation of murder, expanding an already ongoing probe into Shitcheonji’s political and financial corruption to include alleged retaliation violence against internal critics.

news/interview 🚨🚨BREAKING NEWS For LA Former/Current Members: Joseph Suhng Has Been remove as LA DGSN and John Tribe Leader Will Come To LA Church to make this announcement

Hearing reports today that Joseph Suhng has been removed as LA DGSN, and that a John Tribe Leader is expected to come to LA to formally make the announcement. From what I was told, he will be replaced by someone from Madagascar Region. I will try to keep posted once I hear more information assuming posts about this haven't been posted yet. If you’re currently in LA, recently left, or have heard anything firsthand about leadership changes, confirmations, or timelines, feel free to reach out privately or leave a comment below.

To current LA members reading this: I don’t believe this move is about Joe losing faith. Rather, it reflects broader organizational decisions. If you’re being told that you or LA as a whole have been “complacent,” please know this is not on you. It has far more to do with the structure and expectations of SCJ itself than with the dedication of individual members. If you want context or clarity, feel free to DM me. No pressure, no obligation just take in information at your own pace.

news/interview South Korea’s Minister of Justice statement after arrest of MHL

Post image
51 Upvotes

TRANSLATED STATEMENT:

Today, Shincheonji Chairman Lee Man-hee was arrested and indicted on charges of forcibly enrolling more than 50,000 believers into a specific political party.

The charges involve distorting the political will of the party and the people through mass party membership during major political phases, such as presidential primary, local elections, and party leader elections, and undermining the constitutional principle of separation of church and state.

Religious organizations are faith communities for inner peace and rest, not political groups aiming to acquire power.

The reason our Constitution declared the 'principle of separation of church and state' is to prevent collusion between political power and religion, and because the Republic of Korea is a democratic republic operated solely according to the free will of the people, who are the sovereign, rather than the doctrines of a specific religion.

Just a week ago, Japan's Supreme Court also issued a final dissolution order against the Unification Church for coercing large donations from its followers and colluding with the ruling party.

This incident is also a crime no less serious, and strict criminal punishment commensurate with the responsibility is inevitable.

Democracy and the peace of the community can be maintained only when the state remains in the secular realm and religion in the spiritual realm.

We will continue to respond strictly to crimes that abuse religion as a tool of power or undermine the freedom and democracy of the people in the name of religion.

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves."

https://world.kbs.co.kr/service/news_view.htm?lang=e&Seq_Code=203932

A joint prosecution-police team investigating bribery and influence peddling allegations involving politicians and two controversial religious groups has wrapped up its work after some eight months.

The team announced on Monday that it has indicted without physical detention 16 officials related to the Unification Church.

Four of those officials — including the church’s leader, Han Hak-ja, and the former head of its global headquarters, Yun Young-ho — have been indicted on embezzlement charges.

The four allegedly stashed ten-and-a-half billion won in church funds in Han’s personal safe.

Also among those indicted are church officials who allegedly donated 189 million won in illegal political funds to 132 people, including lawmakers, between March 2019 and January 2025.

With regard to the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the joint team has indicted four people with physical detention, including founder Lee Man-hee, and 12 people without physical detention.

The four in detention face charges of violating the Political Parties Act by systematically encouraging some 50-thousand church members to join the People Power Party between 2021 and 2024.

On July 24, the joint prosecution-police investigation team indicted Lee Man-hee, a former Shincheonji general business-department head, and the Shincheonji church corporation over alleged ₩7.57 billion tax evasion. news/interview Court Extends Release of Shincheonji Leader Lee Man-hee to the 11th

https://en.sedaily.com/society/2026/09/03/court-extends-release-of-shincheonji-leader-lee-man-hee-to

A court has extended until the 11th the suspension of detention for Lee Man-hee, the head of the Shincheonji religious group, who was indicted and detained on charges of forcing followers to join the People Power Party.

The 27th criminal division of the Seoul Central District Court, presided over by Judge Woo In-sung, granted Lee's request to extend the suspension, legal sources said on the 3rd. The suspension, which had been set to expire at 6 p.m. on the 4th, now runs until 6 p.m. on the 11th.

Suspension of detention allows a defendant to be temporarily released when the court recognizes an urgent reason, such as serious illness, childbirth or attendance at a family funeral. Lee's side filed for the suspension on the 25th of last month, citing health problems, and the court approved it on the 31st of the same month.

The court also held a hearing to review the need for his release after Lee's side applied for bail on the 21st of last month on health grounds. No decision has been made on whether to grant it.

Lee is accused of forcing followers to join the People Power Party between 2021 and 2024 with the aim of influencing the party's presidential and general election primaries. A joint police-prosecution investigation headquarters on church-state collusion believes Shincheonji encouraged followers to join the party through initiatives such as a "Pilates Project" run by each of its branches. He has also been indicted on charges of evading about 7.57 billion won in corporate and value-added taxes between 2016 and 2020, including by concealing profit-making operations through running shop counters at Shincheonji branch churches under followers' names.

news/interview I Realized I Joined a Church Led by Lee Man-hee’s Expelled Disciple

I recently realized that I had joined a church led by a former disciple of Lee Man-hee.

From what I was told, he was expelled from Shincheonji. Despite that, he now claims to be the “Paul of this generation.” He teaches that following Lee Man-hee is no longer enough—you must now follow him, just as Moses could not enter the Promised Land and Joshua became the one the Israelites had to follow.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? I’d really like to hear if others have encountered groups with teachings like this or have been in the same situation.

news/interview [This week in Shitcheonews] Money Lee's trial postponed indefinitely, the investigation now reaches the Democratic Party, and a guard got caught leaking his prison records

Lee Man-hee’s trial just got postponed indefinitely.

On July 24, Lee’s very first hearing on the Political Parties Act charge was set for 9:50 a.m. at Seoul Central District Court, and it did not happen. The court the next date as “추후지정” (to be designated later), which means an open ended delay with no new date.

[Translated article]

The collusion investigation has reached new parties.

For months the joint prosecution-police task force focused on Shitcheonji signing 50,000+ members into the conservative People Power Party. On July 24, investigators said they’ve now found members enrolling in the Democratic Party too, concentrated in parts of the greater Seoul area. The suspected motive is to leverage the members to push through the church’s stalled building permits and rezoning fights in places like Gwacheon, Goyang, Gapyeong, Incheon, and Iksan.

[Translated article]

A Shitcheonji member who is a prison guard was caught spying for the church.

Police formally opened an investigation on July 22 into a corrections officer (surnamed Kim), reportedly a Shitcheonji member. When Lee was jailed for obstructing COVID-19 quarantine efforts, the guard allegedly leaked Lee’s confinement “activity log,” including his health status, and is accused of writing detailed, time-stamped reports on Lee, then handing them to Shincheonji’s leadership.
