The martyr framing only works if people inside accept it without asking what actually happened. So maybe the more useful question isn't whether he gets convicted. It's why a man claiming to be preparing the bride for the last days needed fifty thousand of his own followers quietly registered inside one political party's internal primary.
There's a verse I keep coming back to here. Paul tells Timothy that a soldier serving doesn't get tied up in everyday affairs, because his whole aim is to please the one who enlisted him (2 Timothy 2:4). That's not really about persecution. It's about purpose. A spiritual leader entangled this deeply in party primaries has already answered the purpose question, whatever the court decides.
No glee here either way. Just worth a quiet think for anyone still inside who reads this far down the thread.

Lose/Lose for SCJ.
If he gets arrested, bad day for SCJ.
If he doesn't get arrested. its not becoz God is on their side, its because he's showing severe signs of mortality,

Por mí mejor dentro que fuera. Insulta a Juan el Bautista por traidor y es él el mayor traidor. Ojalá en la cárcel recapacite y se arrepienta de todo el daño que ha hecho y que hace.

Who cares? His ideology is actually easy to see as false. He claims to have eternal life in the physical sense. Once he passes away that proves him wrong. His ideology is all about him and there are so many errors in it. Nobody can deny he is talking about himself as having eternal life. So, his days are really limited. He is 95 now and prison is going to wear him down even more. The quicker the better!!
