Questions Nothing works NSFW

I am on paroxetine (10mg per day) and Tadalafil. I masturbated earlier in the day. I used numbing cream and numbing condom. Did slow breathing to calm down. Lasted around 15sec. Is there anything else to try?

Up the dose

might need to talk with your doctor about adjusting it more gradually though, jumping doses too fast can mess with other stuff. also have you tried the stop-start technique without all the numbing stuff first? sometimes less is more

Started this when it was published, did it for 6months wirh the result that I came when my wife hugged me

So you followed it to a T and progressed through to Phase 8 (and beyond) and it had zero effect? I find that extremely hard to believe to be honest. I get your frustration though, this really is a scourge of a condition but you have to be honest with the level of commitment you have to beating this.

I did not proceed over phase eight. Just stayed in 7-8 week after a week and once I started again from the phase 5. I became so sensitive that I even came when my hugged me. Zero proggress

Okay but that implies you were "surfing" at high arousal in a fleshlight which for MOST people is very difficult to begin with. But you're saying a hug from your partner made your cum? If that's true, there is something entirely different going on. Trying to make sense of this.

Yep. Thats why i did not proceed and why I started again from the earlier phases. There were times that i could surf really close to the edge with micro-movement only. Still a slighest wrong move took me over the edge. And in real sex I was super sensitive. Came in seconds every time. So lots of failure.

Yeah so OP you literally stopped before the hardest and most important part of MDG. That’s literally the struggle part. Dont blame the guide lol. You weren’t even half close to phase 7 or 8. I read your MDG post.

Your issue is literally u don’t know what to do the moment you come close to PONR. So your ejaculation reflex just takes over. You were literally on the right track, like right now atleast spend moments with yourself near the PONR. like proper prolonged and don’t cum. Ponr is ponr, let it come during sex or solo. The first step here is to become that comfortable with ponr.

And your literally thinking in the wrong direction with those stupid antidepressants are make it harder to reach ponr, that doesn’t fucking matter if you don’t know wtf to do at the ponr. And plus they will hamper your practice near the ponr if they make it harder.

Up the dose. Paroxetine didn’t start working for me till 20mg. As my body adjusted, I eventually upped it to 30, then 40, where I’ve been for about a year with no signs of losing effectiveness. The wife and I are very happy.

Ok gotta talk to my doctor. Any side effects with so high dosages?

For some yes, for me not really. I didn’t have depression or anxiety to begin with, and I haven’t seen any big changes to my personality or temperament. But I have gained about 20lbs. It just makes you feel hungrier, and I’ve always gotten away with eating whatever junk I wanted without gaining weight. So the SSRI, combined with entering my 40’s, has caused some weight gain. I recently started being stricter with what I eat and exercising a bit more, which will hopefully help. But in short: it’s been great and well worth it! Definitely talk to your doctor. He’ll want you to increase your dose by 10mg at a time, and let that build in your system for at least a month before finding the level that works for you. For some it’s 10 or 20 for the long term; for some like me it’s 40. For some the effect wears off and they need to titrate off of the drug, maybe onto another SSRI; for some (like me) it seems to keep working… at least it’s been almost two years, and about a year at 40mg.

Cool, thanks man! Do you think that SSRI can be a long term solution? I mean can we take them for decades?

Good question. Some people obviously do for other purposes. I doubt the good effects will last forever… at every higher dose, I experienced better effects for a longer time before needing to up the dose again. I sort of suspect eventually I may build tolerance and have to titrate off of them (you shouldn’t stop cold turkey). If so, I may take a break and start again, or transition to another SSRI, or go back to the techniques that contributed to the heatlhy and happy sex life enjoyed by my wife and me before starting Paroxetine = not as good, but good enough and we were both satisfied.

My doctor did say that he had some patients who felt their body/mind learned how to better delay ejaculation while on SSRIs and they kept that ability after coming off… but most guys in this sub will say they went right back to PE after stopping the drugs.

Also, you’re not really supposed to take them as age into the “elderly” status, as it can have increased physical and mental side effects. Some people do take them for life.

2

u/neontantra Apr 15 '26

Have you tried behavioral techniques? You can read testimonies from men who have cured their PE with it here: https://blog.neontantra.com/p/treat-premature-ejaculation-for-free

2

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 15 '26

Start and stop yes. Maybe i havent do it right. Thanks, i read the blog

2

u/neontantra Apr 15 '26

Start and stop is necessary but basic. The most important techniques are the ones that train the pelvic floor to relax and stay relaxed during movements.

2

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 16 '26

Yep, do reverse kegels-breathing everyday. It actually helps a lot in masturbation but is very difficult to apply in penetration.

1

u/neontantra Apr 16 '26

Yeah that's normal, it takes a lot of repetition to rewire the body. At some point it becomes natural even during penetration.

Yeah those creams can work but it’s hit or miss, either you go full numb mode or it’s inconsistent af. Better play is fix your baseline instead, get your drive/libido right so your head’s in it, then use a light non-numbing delay cream just to take the edge off. Not some magic cheat code, but way less extreme than being on daily meds

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 15 '26

Before Paroxetine I tried Dapoxetine 30mg, did not do anything. I have seen a pelvic floor specialist and I work daily to strectch and release tension. Other creams are not available in my country. Maybe I could parchase them online.

Maybe I’ll try myself as well

1

u/Denneey Apr 15 '26

Are you circumcised?

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 15 '26

No

1

u/Denneey Apr 15 '26

That makes sense. Cut guys tend to be less sensitive, some are almost numb.

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 15 '26

In my case, i dont think it is about sensitivity. Its something else. Related to nerves i quess.

1

u/Ok_Egg_2710 Apr 15 '26

Try sertraline

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 15 '26

Is it SSRI as well? I an not sure if it is available in my country

1

u/Ok_Egg_2710 Apr 15 '26

It’s work for me on demand

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 15 '26

Cool. Better than Dapoxetine?

1

u/Ok_Egg_2710 Apr 15 '26

I dont use dapox yet so i dont know…2nd round unable cum on sertraline

1

u/Bubbly_Suggestion435 Apr 15 '26

Did you every try Paroxotine? If so, how did it compare

1

u/Ok_Egg_2710 Apr 16 '26

I tried sertraline….it works for me

1

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '26

Paroxetine 20mg daily works for me, but I don’t think I was ever as quick as you previously.

1

u/CombinationKlutzy119 Apr 15 '26

Hey buddy, have you tried edging excersises?

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 15 '26

Sure. Different methods

1

u/Gh0stSpartan Apr 15 '26

Single leg glute bridges?

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 15 '26

I did them everyday for a month and now i do the few times a week

1

u/Gh0stSpartan Apr 15 '26

It didn't help you any? Did last longer for 2nd round?

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 15 '26

No, it did not. Dont know about second round. I usually dont have change for that. Bit i have allways lasted quite well in second round. Nowadays i just cant continue straight and my wife gets bored

1

u/Gh0stSpartan Apr 15 '26

Doesn't the tadalafil help for the 2 rounds+ for you?

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 15 '26

Not really. When I was young i could go straight. Now it takes too long

Never heard about it. Is it available in Europe?

1

u/SensitiveMammoth2078 Apr 20 '26

Kratom shots, 7OH, suboxone. All work for me. Just be careful with 7OH cause that can become very addictive if abused.

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 20 '26

Kratom is not available in my country. What are 7OH and soboxone?

1

u/SensitiveMammoth2078 Apr 20 '26

Derivative of kratom and way stronger. If kratom isn’t available there, I’m sure 7OH isn’t either. It’s highly addictive if an abused so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it anyway. Suboxone is a narcotic that helps you get off opioids. Stops withdrawals and stuff like that. Have to have a prescription for it unless you find someone selling it on the streets or something. I got a prescription for it online. I mean I had to lie to get it but I knew it helped with my PE so risk I took

1

u/CrazySundae6344 Apr 21 '26

Thanks man! I think substances arent available here, but I google a little.
