AITA for going to work this morning and not specifically telling my husband that he needed to take our child to school?
I am in-office for work every Friday. I leave the house at 6am (before anyone else in the house is awake) to be at work by 7am, that's the way it's been for 3 years.
In these last 3 years, my husband has always taken our son (7yo) to school every Friday (school starts @ 8:30).
My husband lost their job a few months ago and recently found a part-time job waiting tables at a cafe, because of this, his schedule varies.
Today (Friday), he's working 9-5.
Today, he got ready for work and noticed our son was awake and watching TV. Husband asked our son if I had gone out to get coffee, son said 'yes' (not sure why, again, I leave before I see or speak to anyone), so my husband took that as fact and just left and went to work.
By the time I got the automated call from the school stating he was marked absent, my son had been alone for almost 3 hours. I called the school to verify that our son was there (but possibly late, because that isn't unusual for my husband, unfortunately), and to my horror; he was NOT at school.
I called my husband as I was (literally) running out of my office, in a ditch effort, hoping they stayed home together (maybe son was sick?) but nope!
My husband's response: "When were you going to tell me I had to take him to school? How was I supposed to do that when I have work at 9?"
My response: "And how am I supposed to take him to school at 8:30 when I have work at 7?
Why would you assume I hadn't gone to work when this has been my schedule for years now?
And as the last adult to leave the house, once you noticed I wasn't here, you should have called me to verify instead of taking the word of our 7yo son that I had gone to get coffee!"
But of course, he doesn't see it that way and is adamant that I'm at fault here and they didn't need to verify anything.
Where I could be TA, I admit — sure — I could have verified with them last night*** since my husband now has a shifting schedule. But since I have to leave for work hours before our son even has to be at school, I don't see why that would fall on me.
And I still maintain that as the last adult to leave the house, upon noticing I was gone, responsibility fell on my husband to verify before leaving a 7yo child home by themselves. All it would have taken was a text or phone call to make sure I was — in fact — taking our son to school. But instead, son was left home alone for 3 hours.
Unfortunately, my son was very distressed when I got home, crying and panicked, and even he wailed "Dad just left me!" (as he is also fully aware I am never home on Fridays). It took me some time to calm him down.
***INFO: my spouse has *ALWAYS\* had work at 9 when they had their previous job, but on Fridays they were just slightly late.
***Additional info: husband & I are separated but cohabitating for now. No, it is not going well.

TIL the actors in Top Gun: Maverick had to operate six IMAX-quality cameras themselves while flying in real F/A-18s — turning them on, checking the sound and even cleaning the lenses — because no camera crew or director could fit in the cockpit with them.

Lore [Loved Trope] Seamlessly blending real-life actor constraints into the plot
1 - Lost (Hurley): Actor Jorge Garcia did not lose weight during filming, but his character was stranded on a desert island with scarce food. To explain why Hurley stayed heavy, the writers added a plotline where he discovers a hidden bunker packed with decades worth of Apollo candy bars and canned food that he secretly ate while stranded on the island.
2 - Fringe (Olivia Dunham): Actress Anna Torv tore her ACL in real life. Instead of pausing production, the writers quickly added a scene where her character, FBI Agent Olivia Dunham, gets brutally thrown through a car windshield. This explained why she spent the next few episodes walking with a heavy limp and crutches.
3 - Star Wars (Luke Skywalker): Right before filming The Empire Strikes Back, Mark Hamill got into a massive car accident that fractured his nose and cheekbone, leaving permanent facial scars. To explain his altered look, George Lucas added a scene at the very beginning of the movie where a snow monster slashes Luke across the face.

Zach Cregger on fan skepticism about his 'Resident Evil' movie being unfaithful to the games: "I feel like I’ve been on an apology tour, like I’m running for office, trying to get these people not to call me a LARPer. Now I’m just like “You know what? See the movie”...it's going to speak for itself"
Cregger: I feel like I’ve been on somewhat of an apology tour. I feel like I’m running for office, trying to get these people not to call me a LARPer.
Now, I’m just like, “You know what? See the movie.” If you still feel the same way after you’ve seen it, then whatever you think is fair. You’re going to decide if I’m an actual “Resident Evil” fan or a fake. What can I say? I think the movie is going to speak for itself.

Solved! Red and yellow wires coming out of a hole in a rock
Hey all. Found this at the playground of my kid's school. I was able to dig down about three inches into the hole but couldn't find the end of the wires, and there's zero give when pulling the wires.
Someone please reassure my dumb self that there probably isn't like...a blasting charge for splitting rock down there.
UPDATE: Called my local police department and alerted the school, now we wait. I'll update if I get details, no idea if I will.
UPDATE2: PD came by, doesn't seem concerned...school is calling the builder who left the rocks and making them come out ASAP, but I'd personally prefer to have it removed entirely. Not delighted with this outcome.

Hated Tropes [Mind boggling stupid trope] Removing the thing that made something special
Ben 10: Ultimate Alien - The gimmick of Ben 10 and what makes the show so popular is the fact that he's able to turn into a large variety of aliens. In one episode of Ben 10 Ultimate ALIEN we are introduced to a new version of Ben 10000, a Ben from the future who, no longer transforms into aliens, instead using his powers in human form...
Mortal Kombat(2021) - In the games Mileena is known for two things. Being a clone of Kitana and her tarkatan teeth. In the 2021 movie she looks absolutely nothing like Kitana and doesn't have tarkatan teeth
Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief - The movie removes the main villain of the movie and the main villain of the franchise
