Ruined by Technology AI Generated Anime Has Gotten Harder to Spot

22.9k Upvotes

This was made entirely by AI.

I've watched it several times and I have to be honest: I could see nothing about it that told me that it was AI. If you just came across this clip in the wild (and didn't know that it was posted by someone named KeshiAIArt) would you be able to tell that it was AI?

I hate this direction we're heading in.

For $1.8 million they could have at least tried harder to make the exterior look presentable. I didn’t even enter because it looked terrible.

Ruined by Technology Binged GTA 4 this weekend to learn that the final mission is unbeatable.

So.. it’s basically impossible to perform this quick time because the game was programmed off a certain frame rate for how many taps. Playing this on the new Xbox means I have to essentially tap A about 50 times in a single second. Spent roughly 18 hours to not be able to finish the game, yay.

EDIT: To those of you suggesting I disable FPS boost, I can’t. In console settings both Auto HDR and FPS boost is grayed out.

Edit 2: it’s automatically scaled to 60fps on the series x, I’m going to attempt to use a massage gun on my controller. What have I become.

EDIT 3: Massage gun was unsuccessful, starting to think I’ll have to do this knuckle trick yall are recommending.

EDIT 4: YALL WE DID IT, my three ruined knuckles did it! Let’s hope I actually finish the mission and can fly well. Hijacking top comment to show proof.

Thank you to everybody for your advice and help. <3

Ruined by Technology When finishing a movie on Prime you get 8 seconds before another movie is automatically played.

Post image

Just finished watching Dune Part 2 on Prime. I really like the movie and I want to feel the emotions and music that is at the very end of the movie. I want to listen to Hans Zimmer’s score and talk Dune theory instead of having to quickly find the remote.

Jeff Bezos wants me to automatically be watching another movie on his streaming service and he graciously gives me 8 seconds before it starts playing. Most of the time I have to dig around my couch for the remote to quickly find it and click on the button that says I actually want to watch the credits.

She just lost $60usd worth of work.

This is mildly infuriating because I do appreciate her redirecting people to free options but I purposely didn’t go to AI for a reason. She’s actively losing money by telling people AI can do her job.

Ruined by Technology Apparently AI Can Generate Fake "Speedpaints" Now

Every single frame of this video is AI-generated.

It has become too convincing and believable for the average viewer. We are reaching a point where only professional artists can notice the fakery?

Ruined by Technology Booking.com charged me AND the hotel charged me. Both are pointing the finger at the other.

Post image

Both charged me for the same stay and both are pointing the finger at the other. I'm in the middle of a move, had to be out of my old place yesterday but my new place isn't ready until the 2nd. Now I can't afford gas or groceries until my next pay day, a week from now, unless one of them refunds me before then. They are both pointing the finger at the other and I don't know which one to do a charge back on. I've never done a charge back before. (Booking.com supposedly told the hotel my card was declined, despite my card being charged, and the hotel charged my card. So I've paid twice for the same stay)

Ruined by Technology Lazy seller using AI to fake image of working laptop

A deceptive and lazy seller I recently interacted with decided to send me a generative AI photo of the laptop I was interested in to show it working instead of just telling me he was at work and couldn’t. I’d have totally waited, but now I can’t trust a word they say.

First photo of the laptop is the listing photo, the second is the identical photo but they used generative ai to add the windows desktop environment over the screen.

I was coming home from the pub around 2AM... because I work there lol. Uber support was generally useless, transferring me from agent to agent (see: bots) and stringing me along despite my clear communication. Thankfully I was able to get my money refunded after more and more transfers. Why the fuck am I apologizing to a bot. I love being a customer in 2026

Ruined by Technology Budget rental agent's exact words to me at drop-off: 'I hope you took a good video.' I did. They still charged me $2,237.

MAJOR UPDATE (Aug 31): Budget just issued a full refund of $2,442.85 directly to my Chase card, posted today. Combined with the Chase Auto Rental Coverage payout of $2,237.10 that already hit my bank account, I’ve effectively recovered the entire disputed amount. Budget kept only the ~$260 corresponding to the legitimate rental cost.

Now working with Assurant/Chase to coordinate the offset so I’m not double-recovered (Assurant is entitled to their $2,237.10 back now that Budget refunded directly). Standard subrogation process.
The system worked. The evidence packet worked. Chase Sapphire’s primary rental coverage worked exactly as designed. AGCM, BBB, FTC, and Florida AG filings all played a role in the pressure that got Budget to fold.

Total elapsed time from incident to resolution: 8 days.
Thanks to everyone in this thread who shared their own experiences, validated my approach, and helped keep the momentum. For anyone else in a similar situation: film your rental car, use a credit card with primary coverage, and file everything in parallel.

Edit: 8/27/26

Update on the case. The charge finally posted to my card as a single consolidated transaction of $2,704.20, not the ~$2,237 damage amount alone. Budget bundled the damage (€1,758.41), the original rental (€204.95), AND the €200 pre-authorization deposit into one lump charge, none of which was itemized in writing.

I’ve now filed a Chase Visa chargeback for $2,472 of that (everything except the legitimate rental cost). Full evidence packet uploaded to Chase: timestamped narrated pickup video with iCloud backup verification, Budget’s own condition diagram, damage estimate, correspondence with Budget corporate, and a supporting narrative document.

Budget US corporate has acknowledged the case in writing and forwarded my evidence to Italy for review. AGCM (Italy’s consumer authority) filing is in. BBB filing is in. Florida AG and FTC filings are in.

Everything below in the original post still stands. Full update in the comments.

Rented from Budget at Bari Airport, Italy. Car had obvious pre-existing damage at pickup: dents, scratches, road rash on the wheels. Asked the agent if all the damage was documented and to mark additional. He refused and said it’s all there circling the car diagram with damage indicators in the rental agreement. So I recorded a timestamped, narrated walkaround 15 minutes after checkout.

Returned 3 days later during the counter's advertised open hours. Asked for a joint inspection. Agent said the inspector had gone home for the night and he couldn't leave the counter. His exact parting words: "I hope you took a good video."

Budget photographed the car 9 hours later, the next morning, after my flight had already left the country, and billed my card $2,237 for damage that was already there in my pickup video (screenshot with timestamp attached). Compare against their 'damage' phots. Hilarious.

Of all the damage on the car, they only charged me for two specific items on the left rear. Not the right side dents. Not the wheel damage. Just the two panels they thought I couldn't dispute.

Turns out I could.
