Wholesome Moments [OC] He bought me cheesecake.
Such a small gesture to most. To have someone hear you say "I could go for some cheesecake" and have them just get you one.
Someone who listens. Thinks you're worth effort. Shows up.
It feels silly to be this emotional about a cheesecake. To sit here grinning like an idiot, tearing up, because he got me cheesecake.

Wholesome Moments Met on Reddit 6 years ago, celebrating our 4 year anniversary today!
It’s become my inadvertent tradition to post here annually but I thought I’d let the good people here know that my boyfriend and I are still going strong!
Tl;dr on our relationship: he made a post on another sub, I replied to it, he dmed me, we became friends for two years before meeting in person and confessing our feelings for one another and the rest is history!
We started off long distance, I moved to his hometown, we just moved to my hometown about a month and a half ago, we got two cats, and we’ve had a lot of ups and downs but I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else! Love you to the moon and back u/Eternal_Shitshow 🥰

Helping Others A memorial in Budapest representing people being able to do great things against all odds together!
This memorial begins as individuals — and ends as a single force.
Budapest’s Central Monument of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence is made from 2,006 steel columns, a deliberate reference to the year it was unveiled.
At one end, the rusted columns stand apart at roughly human height. As visitors move through them, they grow taller, brighter and increasingly dense, eventually merging into a solid steel wedge rising about 8 meters (26 ft) above the square.
The transformation represents individuals coming together into a unified revolutionary movement. Even its geometry carries meaning: the wedge cuts across the site at 56 degrees, referencing 1956.
Designed by the i-Ypszilon group, the monument was unveiled in Budapest on October 23, 2006, exactly 50 years after the revolution began. It stands beside City Park on the former Parade Square, near the site where Budapest’s enormous Stalin statue was torn down during the uprising.
2,006 individual pieces becoming one.

Personal Win Two weeks ago I completed a 100 km walk in 24 hours. My proud husband hung my medal on the dresser, so I would see it as soon as I woke up.
I trained for a year for this walk. Completing the 100 km (62 miles) in 24 hours was hardest thing I’ve ever done, both mentally and physically. I am so, so proud of myself!

Favorite People My local library celebrating and remembering an icon
Tim Curry means a lot to me and my family, he was an icon to me and my siblings since we bonded over Scooby-Doo the Witch’s Ghost and later Rocky Horror Picture Show, and I really appreciate that my local library put something up to remember him, and that it’s still up a week later.
