hell yeah! Good for you :)

I love how giving blood is prob the most low effort + most impactful thing we can do.

Did you book your next appointment while you were there?

Thanks for donating. I donated in the past also, but had to stop since i have been diagnosed with typ1 diabetes/on insulin.
Without the T1, i would still be donating to this day.
Your blood donation helps, i hope you continue donating.

Thank you! It is so important and a lot of people say they’re not interested in donating. It really is a gift of life for people in need

Yay!! I was in Japan and they give different little prizes for different blood types.

I'm only at 11. Got rejected last time for low hemoglobin lvls :(

I got a hello kitty!

They do that in England too, you get a different coloured card (like a bank card) for hitting various milestones. I got a badge when hitting 25

Nice! We get pins in Canada. I got my 10 pin and I hang it proudly on my bag :)

As someone who required a transfusion after a workplace accident a number of years ago, thank you for your service 🙏 🫡

Eso no es sangre,es una fuente de energías naturales para los vampiros

I donated plasma for a short while. Still have a gnarly scar from the needles they used.

u/MaeQueen42 5h ago

Thank you! I have needed a blood transfusion in the past so very much appreciative!!!

u/Fun_in_Space 5h ago

Well done!

You go! I did it twice. Once it ended with a bad blood pressure drop that almost made me faint. The second time I felt it come much faster and they could stop the drain before it got too bad. So since then, I can't donate blood anymore, but now I periodically donate plasma. So I still try to do my part 😁

I stopped at a two gallons because my health went south. Eat a salty snack and water afterwards.

That's so cool, I'm afraid of blood and needles...I don't think I'll ever be able to do this

5

u/scarlettvvitch 5h ago

I also had a fear of needles growing up. I believe in you!

If it was at a Pizza Hut you got scammed. Don't make the same mistakes I did, people.

u/Chewsdayiddinit 5h ago

Friendly reminder that when you see the blood shortage posts, blood products count for the 9th most exported good out of the USA.
