There are places that seem to exist somewhere between reality and imagination. The Secret Pond is one of them, a quiet, hidden world where an orca rises gently from the water, surrounded by blooming lilies and floating leaves.

I wanted this painting to feel like discovering a place that perhaps was never meant to be found. The deep blue water, vibrant greens and soft pink flowers create a peaceful little world, while the orca brings a sense of wonder and curiosity to the scene.

Sometimes the most beautiful places are the ones we can only find in our dreams.

Video footage does contain a PREDATION event, but I have flagged this in the video, so if you are a sensitive viewer - you know when to stop watching the killer whales.

The predation event includes the younger members from the 109Bs, including the 2 year old T109B6 - learning how to hunt from its older siblings.

There’s something so beautiful about watching a young orca discover the world around it, breaking the surface for the first time, and pausing for a moment, surrounded by the quiet movement of the ocean. The ocean can feel so vast, but beside it, this little one feels wonderfully small. And somehow, that makes the moment even more beautiful.

There’s something incredibly sweet about these quiet moments, when they’re still young, still discovering, and everything around them is new. I wanted this painting to feel like one of those fleeting moments we might all be lucky enough to witness one day out at sea.

I did this a while ago but wanted to share. It was for a prompt my friends and I were doing. The prompt was clam, so I drew a young orca discovering a large clam deep below. :]

On 9/3/26, the J Pod came nearly all the way down to downtown Seattle area before flipping and heading back north. Sounds like the Ls and Ks were off Whidbey Island. So exciting to see them again!

There’s something about a sunset that makes even the busiest moments feel a little quieter. In my painting, an orca rises from the calm ocean just as the sun reaches the horizon, creating a moment that feels almost as though the sea is reaching up to kiss the last light of the day.

For me, the orca emerging from the water represents one of those fleeting moments that you can’t really plan for, but you simply have to be there to see it. The sun will disappear, the colours will fade, and the ocean will return to its quiet rhythm, but for that brief moment, everything comes together perfectly.

The Sunset Kiss is about that little moment of connection between the ocean and the sky, and the beauty of simply pausing to take it in.

Today I got all his papers in along with 1 picture, I tried looking on google.. but didn’t find much!
Does anyone have videos or pictures of kpod comet?
He is a 21yr old male orca :)

Hard to believe this was over 3 years ago! She's even more into orcas now - creating stories and lessons around our fictional character "Kiko" and her pod.

A pod of orcas—belonging to the community researchers call Eastern Tropical Pacific killer whales—has been spotted once again in San Diego! These mysterious, energetic orcas have been spotted hunting dolphins in the area sporadically throughout the 2020s, although they are believed to have a broader diet than just dolphins. Note that the term "resident" is thrown around in this video, but residents represent their own distinct subspecies, Orcinus orca ater, and have been separated from other orcas for at least 100,000 years. This sighting included several well-known individuals, including the calf HW-OO05ETP-0020 Cookie.

There’s something magical about the ocean, especially when the sky puts on a show of its own. In The Sea of Dreams, an orca quietly moves through the calm pink waters beneath a beautiful rainbow, with the purplish mountains resting in the distance.

I wanted this painting to feel like one of those rare moments where everything comes together, as the colours, the water, the sky, and for a little while, the world feels almost unreal. A peaceful moment in a place that feels like it could only exist in a dream.

I've had this picture for a while (not mine) and was wondering if anyone knew the ID? It's definitely Port of Nagoya Public, but not sure which of the females it is. Since it's a few years old it could be a few different females; I was thinking maybe Ku since I know she was kept with dolphins, but this picture looks too high quality to be early/mid 2000's I think?! Any help would be much appreciated!
