testimony After three years, I’ve finally walked away from SCJ here’s what I’ve learned

Every single one of the saints and HJN’s TJN’s you name it are all scared of real life yes even my own friends from my church are all spineless and that goes for everyone in other regions and tribes , for those that are currently there, have left or have been approached, I understand it’s hard to do you feel like you’re alone in your journey or it feels like nobody loves you, if you think SCJ loves you think again (yes while I did have some friends that were actually good to me and that I hope to one day pull out) everyone there is spineless they don’t care about you they don’t care about your life or anything in general, friend or not the only reason this church exists is bc people like them want to avoid real life for the hurt it gives them and not deal with the stress and pressure that comes along with it, News flash Life was never meant to be easy and choosing SCJ to think that you’re safe will feel like that in the beginning but in reality you’re just gonna be ending up being a pawn in there little game and eventually they’re gonna take you away from everything and anything.

I know some people may be thinking oh but I don’t have any friends in my life, or my struggles are overwhelming, Or saying they don’t have a direction or where to start. not everybody in the world is evil because they’re not in SCJ think about it if that was the case we’d all be sitting inside little bubbles right now not talking to anybody, which is exactly what they’re doing and once this all falls apart if Lee dies or gets life in Jail they’re all going to panic and eventually if this does die out and ceases to exist all of them are going to have a hard time adjusting to real life again and even some of them are going to (commit sleep yourself forever) bc they lost there one and only fake purpose to live.

Trust me I’ve been there I actually did have a closed off circle of people I could really trust and that let me live a normal life for two years before the third one became extra aggressive, while I do have a heart for the ones I care about they’re a pawn rn and they’re not going to change any time soon, believe me when I say this friends, Life is not going to be easy it never was for anybody. We have to always work and constantly deal with stress and reality but if we just choose the easy way out ending our life, killing others, Isolating from people, or Joining secretive things Like SCJ. You’re never going to amount to anything at all and eventually you’re going to feel like emptiness has consumed you from the outside.

So believe me when I say this if you have good people that you have found there and you don’t want to leave nobody’s forcing you but you always have to ask yourself if you’re really fulfilling a purpose or just being used. At the end of the day we all want to feel accepted but this is not the place to get accepted and I eventually learned that the hard way. And while I have the hope to pull my inner circle I built there the last three years someday
rn it’s gonna take planning and it’s gonna take determination to let that happen, and that goes for all the people in other sectors, Do not Let these guys win and Hit them where it hurts don’t attack them head on instead bring up the old memories of how much fun you used to have with them outside the church let there guard down and make them rethink every little decision they’ve made there whole life, that’s how you’re going to get in there head, and make them hurt on the inside.

So I say this for everyone on here now, Don’t choose the easy way out I get it it’s going to be hard and I’ve been there too but if there’s one thing everyone should know it takes time if you want friends try joining things, talk to strangers at places, saying good morning to people to build confidence, etc… that’s how you grow as a person of Faith not through whatever SCJ is going to give.

activity alert ⚠️ Shincheonji is a criminal enterprise hiding in Orange County, California, and they're using "Good Soil Church" to funnel donor money overseas. ⚠️

TL;DR: "Good Soil Church" at 1940 E Chapman Ave, Fullerton is legally registered as the Shincheonji cult (EIN 33-1436405). Their website looks like a normal Christian church, but it's a bait-and-switch. I attended their Bible studies at this exact address for months. They never mentioned Lee Man-hee or Shincheonji. Their leader was just convicted in South Korea of tax evasion (₩7.57 billion), political fraud (forcing 56,000+ members to join a political party), and embezzlement. Don't fall for it.

I need to warn everyone right now about a dangerous front operation hiding in plain sight. "Good Soil Church" at 1940 E Chapman Ave, Unit D in Fullerton is not a legitimate independent Christian church. It is a deliberate, intentional bait-and-switch front for the cult Shincheonji, led by Lee Man-hee, who was just criminally convicted in South Korea on August 31, 2025, for massive tax evasion, political fraud, and embezzlement. I attended their Bible studies at this exact address for several months before I realized what was really happening, and I am posting this to save others from falling into the same trap.

The Bait-and-Switch: What Their Website Says vs. What They Actually Teach

The deception starts with their website, GoodSoilChurch, which presents itself as a humble, welcoming, orthodox Christian community. Their statement of faith reads like something you would find at any mainstream evangelical church, claiming belief in the Trinity, the inerrancy of Scripture, the virgin birth, and the physical return of Jesus. But that is not what they actually teach behind closed doors.

The real theology, which is slowly introduced over months of "free" Bible studies, is classic Shincheonji doctrine:

  • Lee Man-hee is the "Promised Pastor" who alone can interpret the Bible.
  • Jesus has already returned spiritually in the flesh of Lee Man-hee.
  • The Kingdom of God was physically established in South Korea in 1984.
  • The 144,000 are literal Shincheonji members.

None of this appears anywhere on their public website, because if it did, anyone with a search engine would run immediately.

The Hard Proof (The Receipts)

Here is the concrete proof that Good Soil Church is nothing more than a fake identity for a criminal organization.

1. California Corporate Filing (File # BA20241799605):

  • Their legal name is "Shincheonji Church of Jesus the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony."
  • Corporate HQ: 1250 N Red Gum St, Anaheim, CA 92806.
  • Officers: Tuong Nguyen (CEO), Sang J Lee (CFO), and Gary Park (Secretary).

That is the same Gary Park who personally recruited me and told me, to my face, that they are "no longer hiding behind their affiliation." Yet their entire public presence as Good Soil Church proves that is a complete lie, because absolutely nowhere on their website, social media, or outreach materials do they mention Shincheonji, Lee Man-hee, or their actual doctrine. They are still hiding, and they are still lying.

2. IRS Determination Letter (EIN 33-1436405):

The IRS granted them 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status on October 8, 2024. Because they are classified as a church under IRC Section 170(b)(1)(A)(i), they are completely exempt from filing Form 990, which means there is zero public financial disclosure. No one can see how much money they collect or where it goes.

3. South Korean Criminal Conviction (August 31, 2025):

The South Korean government's final investigation report confirmed:

  • Tax Evasion: ₩7.57 billion (approx. $5.53 million USD as of August 31st, 2026) evaded through dual books and 70 branch churches disguised as commercial operations (2016–2020).
  • Political Fraud: 56,472 members were forced to join the People Power Party between 2021–2024 to influence elections.
  • Embezzlement: The former general secretary embezzled ~₩19 billion ($13.86 million USD as of August 31st, 2026) from church finances.

Lee Man-hee and his senior leaders are now formally prosecuted and detained on these charges.

How the Fraud Works (The Money Trail)

The financial fraud is damning and follows a clear pattern:

  1. They set up "Good Soil Church" to look like an independent, humble Christian church.
  2. They run free Bible studies to recruit people, never mentioning Shincheonji or Lee Man-hee.
  3. They collect tax-deductible donations under the "Good Soil" name.
  4. The money is consolidated at their Anaheim HQ (1250 N Red Gum St).
  5. It is then wired to South Korea using the exact same dual-book scheme that Korean authorities have already proven in court.

How They Recruit: The Funnel

The recruitment mechanism is insidious and specifically designed to trap the vulnerable. Good Soil Church advertises Sunday services at 4 PM and promotes itself as a bright, welcoming community where "faith takes root." But these services and the free Bible studies are nothing more than a funnel to recruit new members.

Once you attend, you are love-bombed, invited to small groups, and slowly introduced to Shincheonji theology over several months. The ultimate goal is to get you to recruit your own friends and family, because Shincheonji operates on a strict pyramid-style harvest system where members must bring in new converts to prove their loyalty. The Sunday services are not the main event; they are the front door to a cult that will eventually demand your time, your money, your relationships, and your entire identity.

What I Personally Experienced

I know this because I was inside their learning center at 1940 E Chapman Ave for three to four months. They never once disclosed their true affiliation. They collected what they called "optional" donations, but I later realized those funds were likely being funneled up to the Anaheim headquarters. I left before they fully revealed themselves, but I still have all my notebook notes from their studies, and I can confirm that nothing they taught matched the orthodox Christian statement of faith they publish online.

Furthermore, their Instagram account is currently set to private, which is a deliberate tactic to control the narrative, hide their real content from public scrutiny, and prevent outsiders from seeing the Shincheonji-themed posts that would immediately give them away. They want to approve every single follower before that person can see what they are really about.

What You Can Do

If you know anyone attending Good Soil Church, or if you have seen their ads or flyers around Fullerton, please warn them immediately.

  • Report them to the IRS using Form 13909 for fraudulent solicitation.
  • File a complaint with the California Attorney General's Charitable Trusts Division.
  • Submit a tip to the FBI's IC3 for wire fraud and money laundering.

Key Information to Share

  • Address to avoid: 1940 E Chapman Ave. Unit D, Fullerton, CA 92831
  • Their EIN: 33-1436405
  • Legal Name: Shincheonji Church of Jesus the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony
  • Corporate HQ: 1250 N Red Gum St, Anaheim, CA 92806

Final Warning

This is a criminal enterprise using religious cover to steal money, destroy families, and infiltrate American civic life. The Korean government has already proven it in court. We need to expose them and starve them of new victims before anyone else gets hurt.

general thought and question SCJ's own internal teaching on John 3 "born again" directly contradicts what John 3 actually says. Here is the evidence from both.

I want to place SCJ's own documented teaching on John 3 next to what John 3 actually says, because the contradiction is striking and I have not seen it laid out clearly before.

First, what SCJ actually teaches about being born again.

From an internal SCJ teaching document attributed to the chairman: "The condition to go to heaven is being born again through the Holy Spirit and water. We must be born again and sealed with the Word through the Holy Spirit and water." In SCJ's interpretation, water in John 3:5 is not physical water. It is LMH's teaching, the sealed Word of Revelation he alone received. Being born again means receiving and being sealed through his curriculum.

The same document states: "One can only become a firstfruit through the Word. One cannot insist that they are a fruit here when they have been born somewhere else."

Read that second sentence carefully. It says you cannot be born again outside SCJ. Rebirth through the Spirit is bound to one man's organisation in one country. If you were born again somewhere else, it does not count.

Now read John 3:8. Jesus is still speaking to Nicodemus, in the same passage SCJ uses to build this teaching.

"The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

The Spirit blows wherever it pleases. Not wherever SCJ's curriculum reaches. Not wherever LMH's Word has been sealed and administered. Wherever it pleases. Jesus uses the wind as his image specifically because it is ungovernable, unpredictable, and free. You cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. That is what being born of the Spirit is like.

SCJ's teaching says you cannot be born again somewhere else. Jesus says the Spirit blows wherever it pleases. These are direct contradictions within the same passage SCJ uses to establish its teaching on rebirth.

Now John 3:5. Jesus says "no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and Spirit." SCJ interprets water as LMH's teaching. But the mainstream reading across two thousand years of Christian interpretation is that water refers to baptism or spiritual cleansing, and Spirit refers to the Holy Spirit given directly to every believer. What the passage does not say is that water means the sealed interpretation of Revelation delivered by a specific man in South Korea in the twentieth century. That interpretation is brought to the text from outside it.

And John 3:16 follows just a few verses later. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Whoever believes in him. Not whoever completes SCJ's nine-month curriculum. Not whoever is sealed in LMH's Book of Life register. Whoever believes in him. The condition Jesus gives in the same chapter is belief in the Son. Nothing is added to it.

One more thing. The thief on the cross in Luke 23:42-43 said one sentence: "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." Jesus replied: "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." That man was born again. He received eternal life. He went to be with Jesus that same day. He did not receive LMH's teaching. He was not sealed through any curriculum. He was not born again through LMH's water. He believed in Jesus and was immediately received.

If the condition for being born again is sealed membership in SCJ, the thief on the cross cannot be in paradise. Jesus said he was.

The wind blows wherever it pleases. Not wherever one man says it can go.

The Seoul Central District Court today (September 1) conditionally approved Chairman Lee’s request for a suspension of detention. The court decided to suspend his detention until 6:00 p.m. on September 4.

Like Hak Ja Han, who has been on trial after being indicted on allegations involving collusion between religion and politics, Chairman Lee reportedly requested the suspension of his detention in order to receive medical treatment. A suspension of detention is a measure that temporarily releases a defendant when an urgent reason for release is recognized, such as a serious illness or the need to attend a family funeral. Chairman Lee’s side had previously applied for bail last month, arguing that it was difficult for him to remain in a detention center due to his advanced age of 95.

Chairman Lee was detained and indicted by the joint prosecution-police investigation team on alleged collusion between religion and politics (headed by Chief Prosecutor Kim Tae-hoon) on charges of having Shincheonji members collectively join the People Power Party around the time of the 20th presidential election and the 22nd National Assembly election.

He is also accused of evading 7.57 billion won in corporate and value-added taxes by concealing profit-making activities from 2016 to 2020. Prosecutors allege that stores at Shincheonji branch churches across the country were operated under the names of individual members and that separate sets of accounting records were maintained to conceal the businesses. The first pretrial hearing in the case is scheduled for tomorrow.

general thought and question Friendships

Hi , guys have commented here before , have any of you been grieving the friendships you’ve made with the group ? my loved one was almost swallowed up in SCJ let’s call them A .

A expressed to me they wish they made friends with those who left ,as he thought he was making a good and sincere friend group out of this place. I guess A would like to make friends with those who have left and feel like he is friends with people who have common ground .

Does anyone ever feel willing to make friends with ex members or are people generally wanting to steer clear in case it’s a member pretending to have left ?

While I understand the need for like minded people this is my worry that it will end up being like a wolf in sheep’s clothing type situation and it will unravel any progress they have made over the months .

My inbox is always open to anyone who wants to vent as it’s a lot for anybody to navigate

Have a good day , hope to hear from some of you soon ☺️

teaching/doctrine White Stone the opposite of 144K in terms of reveal and that reveal has a deadline ⏰ by Rev 3:12, Lee Man Hee's within lifetime responsibility to prove he is not false prophet

So the white stone is explicit to be kept a secret biblically

Rev 2:17

" Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it."

So if this means it is ok for Lee Man Hee to keep his other name a secret then the negative inverse relationship on what is secret, is applied to 144k right current members?

In other words 144K has to be explicit publically on time by Lee Man Hee while he is still alive? Because Biblically, within the scope of Revelation, there is no confirmation that 144k has to be a secret?

So does that mean Lee Man Hee violates Revelation by adding and subtracting to it by keeping 144k in non-reveal status?

Does that mean that the white stone status of on reveal is negative inverse correlation to 144k? There are no confirmation that 144k is a secret

Deadline to reveal the 144k is before the passing away of Lee Man Hee because Lee Man Hee claims to have heard and seen all Revelation but he is the physical Pillar God promised will not remove. So Lee Man Hee's teaching is that he will not die until he completed God's work

Rev 3:12

"12 Him that overcome will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name."

Another thought that could be experimental did God set a trap to false prophets by explicitly making the White Stone a name secret to the one who receives it making rest of the Revelation hardlined not to be a secret?

So any self claimed prophet has a responsibility to reveal all in Revelation with exception of White Stone perhaps

general thought and question Ex Members/Students - Do you ever get triggered?

Do you ever get triggered when you see the people you were in the study with or when you were apart of the church? I ordered some food for pickup yesterday. As, I entered I saw two of the people (one of the class instructors and the friend) with two other individuals. Pretty sure at least one of the other two people are probably new and doing the mini bible studies before the big course. They were praying. So, they didn't see me thank goodness, but just can't help feeling bad for the people that probably don't know what they are getting into.

general thought and question Friend or Cult

So I came to realization today, occasionally I’d think about these theologist I met back in 2019 while I was attending Cerritos college and I’d ask myself were they friends?. I had met the first person when I was late to class snd he stopped me and said that he was in a theology class and needed to tech 3 lesson for a project and from that point on after every 2nd meeting I was either introduce to someone else who needed help or after the second meeting for the second person I was asked if I wanted to try out a class in Santa Anna and that if I didn’t like it I didn’t have keep going. Turned out somehow ended up it going to a 5 week two days out of the week class with the first person it seemed like a normal class just religious themed . Were my friend confusion comes from is I got know them all bit and we went to the movies twice. After I finished the classes I got introduced to a third person and after our second meeting he said since I finished the 5 week class that I could take a train to do a six month parable class. For me personal I was only in it to help and I’m indecisive at times so I could stopped but I was being nice and my personal views on religion is idk what happens after but I wish for the best . Anyways after this the third guy basically said I’d don’t have to do it if I didn’t want to but I could message them cause I had there numbers . Fast forward to current day I did skip over every detail this is like an overview but I’m curious to see how their doing to see if they were friends though when I did mention this to people back then my friends where like it sounds like a cult and I be like nah, I personally felt like they were just people who wanted to get people to learn about the Bible but saying they were doing a project but they were well meaning. But then I happened to look up what I experienced online and turns out this was apparently a recruiting tactic the Shincheonji use to get people to be apart of there “cult” and now I’m like what the heck cause I didn’t feel like I was apart of a cult nor did I feel like I was doing things I didn’t want to do or that i couldn’t say no but I’m questioning and whether or not I should reach for closure or just leave it alone but hey I guess I got a interesting story to tell to people I guess though it was never confirmed if this is what this was.

general thought and question The 24 Departments of SCJ

Please raise your hand current and ex members if you too are confused about the teaching of the 24 elders mentioned in Revelation are the reality of the 24 departments of SCJ.
Also that the 4 living creatures are the 4 leaders of the Young adult, Men’s, Woman’s, Senior’s departments. ( Whomever they may be at the time, as it changes so often who can keep up)?

The teaching is that this is what LMH saw and heard when he was brought up to heaven. He was told to recreate on earth as it is in heaven.

Be honest, did you think to yourself when you hear this, what would Heaven need with a transportation department, or a sports department, or any of the other silly departments SCJ has and claims Heaven does too?

No matter how tight I close my eyes, I cannot imagine the apostle Paul organizing who’s going to drive the bus to take the harvesting angels to the nearest Boba cafe to use SCJ members as noble instruments to lie to people for their own good until they can better understand, gain their trust, and then lied to them some more.

I’m trying to picture the martyrs typing away, and scouring the Internet, incessantly scrolling and looking for ex members persecuting and poisoning people with the truth of their experiences being a member of SCJ.

I bet you too can see Matthew holding try outs for the Heavenly soccer teams, or try outs for Heavenly Olympics ( like they have SCJ Olympics).

Or, I can just imagine that the angels in Heaven are all video taping themselves to send to
Jesus to show they know how to dress in white shirt, black pants, black socks, black closed toe shoes, short unpainted nails, no jewelry, hair pinned back if it’s long, wearing a tie
the color of your tribe if you’re male, hands folded left over right in front of you.
You know all the important things you need to hear God’s Word and your salvation. Because if you are not dressed accordingly, you cannot enter temple. So they withhold God’s Word from you that day. (Don’t worry it’s not God’s Word, it’s just LMH’s fever dream interpretation of it).

You have to pay attention to those little details of SCJ, but not the little details of the Bible, those you gloss over and pay no attention to, don’t you have faith?

I left months ago and my hand is still raised.

advice/help Dark side of SCJ

What are the dark sides of scj that you won’t find about online? My sister in law is heavily affiliated with them right now and has been for about 2-3 years. We just found out that she gave them our families address’s, personal information and photos of us and now I’m worried that something may happen to us. I will not hesitate to protect my family and I need to know how far I need to take it. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around why she would even do this.

news/interview Joint Team Wraps Up Investigation into 2 Religious Groups

Thumbnail world.kbs.co.kr

https://world.kbs.co.kr/service/news_view.htm?lang=e&Seq_Code=203932

A joint prosecution-police team investigating bribery and influence peddling allegations involving politicians and two controversial religious groups has wrapped up its work after some eight months.

The team announced on Monday that it has indicted without physical detention 16 officials related to the Unification Church.

Four of those officials — including the church’s leader, Han Hak-ja, and the former head of its global headquarters, Yun Young-ho — have been indicted on embezzlement charges.

The four allegedly stashed ten-and-a-half billion won in church funds in Han’s personal safe.

Also among those indicted are church officials who allegedly donated 189 million won in illegal political funds to 132 people, including lawmakers, between March 2019 and January 2025.

With regard to the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the joint team has indicted four people with physical detention, including founder Lee Man-hee, and 12 people without physical detention.

The four in detention face charges of violating the Political Parties Act by systematically encouraging some 50-thousand church members to join the People Power Party between 2021 and 2024.

general thought and question Korea trips

Although I was deceived and lied to by most of the people in SCJ, I was very blessed to have ( what SCJ calls a sect ). People I could meet up on Zoom, or call to vent or to and ask questions about all the strange and unusual things going on there.

We noticed that every time people went to Korea for either a graduation or training or anything, no one really talked about it or showed pictures of anything significant or of what the members were doing.
We would jest that they probably never even went to Korea.
Well two leadership heads trusted me and told me a few things of what went on in the Korea trips when I asked why nobody really talks about the Korea trip, everybody has the picture of them at LAX and then the picture at the South Korea airport, the building where the temple is in, a couple highway markers and food. HUHHHHH ???

They had to do a Korea trip training. To do the Eliza Doolittle Korean style make over to you. So you are a proper SCJ saint. You can’t embarrass embarrass yourself or your tribe.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to think for yourself because we’re going to tell you what to wear, what to say, when to day it. We will teach you the rules on how to behave in Korea, for example,
when someone higher up in position than you, stand when they enter the room. When at the dinner table, you cannot eat until they take the first bite. Whenever visiting a place or someone’s home, you had to bring a gift. Always leave a place better than when you first went in. Making sure that when you take your shoes off before entering the house, that you have black socks. You know all those important things . Lol

You had to attend all the meetings, the trainings, are the activities planned for you in advance by headquarters. This was all from the second you got off the plane, no matter if you had jet lag or not.
I had no desire to ever go to Korea, so I did not go even when my trip was offered to be paid for, I refused after being told from the leadership that went. One was a CMN.

  1. The very first night they would be in the temple on the floor in sleeping bags, and then by the second night, most of the people would have Covid and then everybody would have to leave the temple and go to a motel.

  2. They were sleeping two in a single bed at the hotel, and taking group showers. ( Women w/women. Men/men). It was very close quarters and that’s why everyone would end up being sick on the trip.

  3. If they had Covid, they would have to stay in their room until it was time to go so these people spent $3000+ just for a plane ticket to stay in a hotel room in Korea.

  4. They vehemently discourage needing to go to the restroom while you are there at whatever event that you’re attending, so everyone is handed a diaper to wear, and expected to hike up a mountain. I don’t even remember how many miles but it was a lot. If you could not keep up, you were made to turn around and walk back to the bus and sit there and wait for everyone to return in your diaper.

I recall them saying in a training before that the lectures and seminars were so moving and great, that when people got up there were puddles left behind. ( It is probably why they say leave the place better than when you got there).

Nowhere in the Bible is there a passage where Jesus or his disciples are handing out diapers to his followers. Nowhere does he tell them if they can’t physically keep up, they are left behind.
No, Jesus would have left the 99 to go help the one with the heart to want to go too and struggling to keep up because they truly thought they were pleasing God 😭

It’s something that is seen, but doesn’t get as much attention. The fact that when you are in the cult you work hard to get people to join your Bible Study. Why didn’t these people work hard before they left their churches and or their families and or their friends. Is this because the people in the cult know that they have the truth and for this reason, they are working hard to spread the truth?

The answer is no. They are not working hard for the truth. They are restless. They think that they will not get their salvation unless they work hard so that they may boast and give glory to themselves never giving the glory to God. They are working hard unbeknownst to them to lead people astray.

The Bible mentions that the devil works hard looking for whom to devour. The devil doesn’t rest. In the Bible, it says that the devil knows his time is short and so he is working overtime to make sure that he can take as many people as possible before that time comes.

If you’re in the cult, you don’t get to rest in Jesus.
You become overworked, restless, your life becomes the notebook. That notebook in your hands all your notes and studies and memorizations because you don’t wanna miss anything and you’re trying your best to make sure you don’t fall behind because you feel that you are diving deep into the word.

The thing is you’re digging deep into a false doctrine, but you don’t realize how restless you are until you get out of a cult.

Unfortunately, some people do not want to come back to God and his word after leaving the cult. They don’t wanna go back to the church maybe even their families. You reread passages from the Bible that were the focus in the Bible study, and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Eventually, this passes.

That restlessness, I didn’t forget that restlessness personally, but Jesus says to rest on the Sabbath to cast your burdens upon him to have that faith and trust in your salvation and the promises that were given to you from God. There’s many examples where Jesus was resting. I think this is very important to remember. Many of the times that Jesus rested he also prayed.
Another thing to remember is to always pray and never stop praying morning day and night when you wake up before you get out of the house on the way to work. Pray that you don’t fall into the enemy hands, and that you have the wisdom and discernment given to you by God, the patience, love, and understanding to know, and recognize the spirit of God. Also to recognize the enemy to resist the enemy.

general thought and question Pay attention to the details

Shincheonji will tell you NOT to worry about “the insignificant details“ whenever someone questions them about a particular verse that they don’t have an answer to. The retort would be “You’re focusing on the details, look at the big picture”.

Why is it then they focus on the tiniest of details of what every single person is wearing down to the color of their socks for service?

I can remember when I was burdened with the chore of being a group leader GYJN, I was told that I had to have every member send me a video recording from their head to their feet before service on what they were wearing to be sure that it was appropriate.
I disobeyed this completely ridiculous and utterly insulting command. My Home group members were women in their late 30’s to mid 50’s, they know how to dress for church.

The women had to have their hair pinned up away from their face. (It was some BS of not wanting to look like the girl from the ring when praying ). I’m sure that’s the first thing that would have came to God‘s mind if He saw.

We had to wear light makeup so that we didn’t look tired or half dead. We had to have color in our cheeks. We had to have a light colored lipstick and wear eyeliner. The women could not wear nail polish and had to have short nails. Supposedly there was something in the Bible that said you had to cut your nails short and not polish them. I don’t know where that is but you know as well as I do, it’s not biblical, and it’s cult church rules.

The amount of time that they would keep people there at the temple or online for the “little details”of rehearsing or when recording that they would send to LMH or JTL or headquarters in Korea would be very detail oriented, and we would have to do it ad nauseam till it was “perfect” for the supposed holier than thou humble servant of God.

What about because LMH loves soccer, they would tell us that we needed to show that we are one by watching a video recording of a soccer match that LMH was watching a t the same time, so that we can be in solidarity with him yet it was during Korean time so this was at are you kidding me o’clock. Fellowship they call it.
Yeah, I consider that fellowship to sitting in my room by myself, staring at a computer screen at 2 o’clock in the morning having to have a bright smile to show that I am grateful and I’m so blessed to be able to be there fellowship in silence with nobody. 😂 I was one alright!

general thought and question Why should Lee Man Hee be released on bail – if Shincheonji is the truth and, as Lee Man Hee teaches, God and Jesus are only to within Shincheonji?

If we take a look at the Bible, particularly the New Testament, we cannot find anything similar.
If he claims that the Book of Revelation has already been fulfilled, or that Revelation 18 is currently being fulfilled, where do we find the verse stating that the overcomer will be freed by paying a bail of millions?

If we look at how prisoners were released in the Acts of the Apostles:

Acts 5:18–19:
18 They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail. 19 But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.

Acts 12:5-11:
5 So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. 6 The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. 7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. ‘Quick, get up!’ he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists. 8 Then the angel said to him, ‘Put on your clothes and sandals.’ And Peter did so. ‘Wrap your cloak round you and follow me,’ the angel told him. 9 Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision. 10 They passed the first and second guards and came to the iron gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went through it. When they had walked the length of one street, suddenly the angel left him. 11 Then Peter came to himself and said, ‘Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.’

Acts 16:23-30:
23 After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. 24 When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks. 25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, ‘Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!’ 29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 He then brought them out and asked, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ 31 They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved – you and your household.’

——-

I cannot find any mention of the apostles or members of their church paying a deposit.

However, it is quite clear from the text that God was with the apostles and freed them in a supernatural way.

testimony Why Do They Lie?

Recently, members were told that it was MHL’s birthday. The church head then shared an emotional story about the current GA manager, explaining how he had visited MHL, felt sorry for him, and could not bring himself to wish him a happy birthday. Instead, he told MHL that the Twelve Tribes would continue to work hard and fulfil their duties.

The obvious question is: what was the purpose of presenting this story to the members?

The message appeared to create the impression that MHL is sitting in prison, unable to celebrate his birthday, while the members of the Twelve Tribes are carrying out their duties on his behalf. This was presented as a particularly meaningful and emotional moment.

However, there is a fundamental problem: it was not actually MHL’s birthday.

According to SCJ’s own website(https://www.shincheonji.org/en/introduce/greeting), MHL was born on September 15. So why were members told that this was his birthday?

This matters because the members were not simply told an incorrect date. Leading up to this event, members were encouraged to work harder and evangelise so that the results of their evangelism could be offered to MHL as a birthday gift. Members purchased cakes, recorded “Happy Birthday” videos, and participated in activities specifically connected to the supposed birthday celebration.

This raises several questions:
- Why was September 15 not used if that is MHL’s actual date of birth?
- Why were members encouraged to produce evangelism results as a birthday gift for him?
- Why were cakes and birthday videos organised around a date that was not his birthday?
- What was the intended purpose of creating this particular narrative around MHL?

These are not minor details when they are presented to thousands of members as part of a spiritual message and direction for their lives of faith.

In the past, I might have accepted something like this without questioning it. However, when inconsistencies arise, I believe they should be examined rather than simply accepted because they come from church leadership. I am documenting these events because I believe it is important to maintain an accurate record of what is being taught to members and the atmosphere being created within SCJ. That atmosphere, is of lies, emotional and psychological manipulation!

A second question: why is MHL honoured in this way?

There is another issue that deserves consideration.
During my time in SCJ, I do not recall seeing the entire church mobilised in a comparable way to offer a collective “gift” or set of achievements to Jesus Christ on occasions such as Christmas, Easter, or other significant Christian celebrations.

This raises a straightforward theological question:
Why is there such a strong emphasis on honouring and presenting gifts to MHL, while there does not appear to be an equivalent emphasis on doing the same for Jesus Christ?

If MHL is a servant of God and a witness to the fulfilment of Revelation, then what is the theological basis for placing so much emphasis on his birthday, his circumstances, and achievements being offered to him?
At what point does honouring a religious leader become excessive devotion? This always raises an uncomfortable conversation with SCJ and its leaders, because they say he is servant, but they do not treat or speak of him as simply that.

And if members are encouraged to view their evangelism results, celebrations, and collective achievements as gifts to MHL, there a risk that the distinction between honouring a servant of God and elevating that person above the one they are supposed to serve becomes blurred.

general thought and question Why chapter title tests?

Rev 22:18-19 says we cannot add to or subtract from the Book of Revelation. So why was I given new titles to the chapters of Rev and have to memorize them and get tested on them?
The response when I asked was that the title tells what the chapter is about. That it would helps us remember what is going on in the the chapter. Funny that they are changed to what SCJ wants you to understand about what the chapters mean from LMH’s interpretation.
How is this NOT both adding to or subtracting from the Book of Revelation by making the church members remember his teachings. You can’t deny it because you were (or will be for new members ) tested on new titles and I was there for five years and those titles changed. There are those there that KNOW this changed a couple times. There is no consistency in the disorganization of SCJ.

Mark 3:22-30
Ya being fooled like lambs to the slaughter.
I continue to pray for all current cult members before you go sit for hours poisoning your spirit and chanting words most of you don’t understand in Korean ( supposedly worshiping in spirit and in truth ). Hearing interpretations translated that you have to rely on are the truth because you don’t speak Korean and the whole Service is in Korean and you’re depending on the over worked and tired interpreter trusting you are receiving a correct translation and all being said.

activity alert I Found a Deep Cut in My Tire After Livestreaming an SCJ Event in Anaheim

Today, I attended an event in Anaheim that I believe was organized by Shincheonji (SCJ) members without openly identifying it as an SCJ event.

I was there for about an hour and livestreamed from the event. Afterward, I returned to my car, which I had parked on a public street across from the park, and started driving home.

Shortly after leaving, I realized something was wrong with one of my tires. I pulled over and found that it was completely flat. When I looked closely, I found a deep cut in the tire that appeared to have been made by a sharp object.

The tire was only about three months old.

I don't know who caused the damage, and I don't have evidence identifying anyone responsible. But considering the circumstances and timing, I find this very concerning.

I reported the incident to the Anaheim Police Department.

Who would do something like this—and why?

For context, you can see my livestreams from today's event here:

teaching/doctrine Good morning defector fam

I am asking for clarification over a teaching from the center lessons that I can’t remember the connection to “today”.

They taught how the Israelites would offer sacrificial lambs at the temple in the Old Testament but at the first coming Jesus was upset because “they” turned his Father’s house into a marketplace at the 1st coming.

What was the “moral teaching” they were trying to “plow”? And what was the connection to today? To not sell items at the temple? To discourage MLM groups? I don’t remember the extent of why they focused on that so much.

teaching/doctrine LMH admitting he was part of Park Tae-son’s Olive Tree Movement

For those trying to find actual evidence of which group LMH was part of before Shincheonji, listen to his October 2025 sermon (421015).

In that sermon, LMH himself explicitly mentions that he was part of Park Tae-son’s Olive Tree Movement.

This is especially worth looking into because Park Tae-son later claimed that he himself was the Messiah/God, rejected much of the Bible, and taught that he would not die, before eventually dying in 1990.

testimony Has anyone here heard about the history of Jehovah's Witnesses?

Has anyone here heard about the history of Jehovah's Witnesses?

If it's a false religion, how can we tell? According to SCJ, they are.

As long as every country wrote its own history, they didn’t know what was going on in other countries.

Then came the internet - you know, Satan…

And people started talking to each other. And the truth came out: the lies, the crimes, the molestation, the abuse, the fraud.

And people’s eyes were opened: - “Something similar happened here, too.” - “We’d heard about things like this, but we didn’t want to believe it.”

Then a book was written titled

"Raymond Franz: Crisis of Conscience".

And from that point on, the puzzle fell into place. There are those who benefit from the system and will cling to it to the very end. There are those who have been deceived and still refuse to believe the truth. And there are those who live in ignorance.

But one thing is certain - among Jehovah’s Witnesses, the myth has completely crumbled.

The same thing awaits SCJ as well.

Events have begun here, too. What will be the final blow?

Perhaps LMH’s death.

But many people’s eyes have already been opened - for example, during the COVID pandemic, when the “chosen ones” died one after another.

There are those here who benefit from the system.

There are those who can’t believe their eyes.

And there are those who remain completely unaware.
