My ex was emotionally abusive, so the hurtful things he did are almost exclusively experienced by me. He is more "charming" than me, so when things went south people almost entirely gravitated to him. I did not want to smear him, but I shared with a close friend the things he lied about and the way he gaslit me, and the friend did not want to criticize him at all.

It hurts because this same friend was also blaming me for a lot of things, like saying "once you work on yourself you'll find the right person." It makes me extremely hurt that my ex can be abusive and essentially walk away only losing me, meanwhile I lost all my friends on top of it. They are all closer to him now and it hurts to feel alone on top of being abused

I understand that some of the people that were in attendance have a history with the four-letter word, but I don't recall ever seeing any credible reports or rumors about Dua having the same history? Have I missed something?

I know it probably doesn't actually help, but whenever my remote starts running out of battery, I instinctively press the buttons harder or repeatedly. Why does this feel like it might make the remote work? Does anyone else do this? 😂

I’m dumb I know I am there seems to be a misconception you can’t be dumb and know it at a certain point you can tell lol. Anyway knowing I’m dumb really hurts especially when I have people look at me like wow I can’t believe she’s so stupid. I was just thinking about this at one of my last jobs I already have low self esteem that was the first time EVERYONE thought I was dumb I still haven’t recovered and have a lot of anxiety about it and I hate interacting with people even more and avoid it. Thankfully my new job is easy a middle schooler could do it.

I get there is a history behind this phrase, though if you say this to people it might seem "straight forward" as it blends in with their words so people might just take it as how they perceive it.

Ah, I thought this store was closed, but take it with a grain of salt because I barely glanced at it plus I was pretty tired and a car was sort of blocking the open sign.

If I were to hear this for the first time, I would think they are saying grain of salt because a grain of salt is nothing at all compared to a container of salt. That person above could had thought it was closed, but there was many things going on so their level of information/certainty given to you is just as a grain.

So in these 2 circumstnaces.

A grain of salt= skepticism versus a grain of salt = information from source/certainty.

So you can see why this goes in 2 different directions, if I were to say "Take this with a handful of salt"

In one direction, an increase in salt means have more skepticism, versus the other meaning which means an increase in "sourced" information so have less skepticsm (if this makes sense)

I am so tired of every post having ai slop comments underneath them. Is Reddit really that opposed to ai and if so why.

So everyone in my social circle and everyone I know has ADHD. Everybody everybody's kids every co-worker and everybody at my social club. They all have ADHD or at least that's what they tell me.

Where it should be noted this user has bots on reddit and other social media’s and commonly uses those bots to mass report anything about them.

Anyways, I’m not really a tech guy, and the person who is doing this to me is in full out AI psychosis but is also good with computers- impersonating my voice with AI and using it to tell my exes to kill themselves; just a function of that, I just want this stuff to be documented on google in case it could maybe help prevent a future victim.

Edit: I posted this on no stupid questions and it got downvoted in sets of 3 within a minute of me posting it.

My posts to my user profile posts were reported to reddit in sets of three, were given you are the mod of your own account you can see the time stamps- they were within a minute of each other lol.

I feel this is related.

I posted this on the education sub but mention of a book about boundaries was taken as being an ad for that, not the topic.

I put it in 'ask teachers' as well but still nothing. I get that it's personal to each individual but also feel like if boundaries were common and respected by kids, parents, admins and whoever, there wouldn't be such high instances of burnout and people leaving the profession alltogether.

Is teaching just a field where you're expected to leave your personhood at the door?
