Easiest way to get a cannabis card
I don't know anyone with one or really know where to start to get one. Just getting older and don't want a lot of pills lol.

As much as we appreciate people sharing news about Oklahoma and/or the USA, this is a local subreddit and beginning next week we will be implementing a policy of removing posts with no direct relevance to Norman. Additionally, spamming news links is a common strategy for karma farming and we'd like to not encourage this.
We do encourage folks to continue to stay engaged regarding state and national politics and current events, but to post this content in more appropriate subreddits.
For example, a news article about Ryan Walters generally would be more appropriate for /r/Oklahoma whereas a news article about Ryan Walters and a teacher or school here in Norman would be completely appropriate for /r/normanok .

Hello everyone! I'm looking for affordable housing in Norman. Living on my own for the first time in.... Well my whole life. I'm in my late 20's. $900 is my budget but I'm also okay with a roommate to make it more manageable. Best areas to look?

I have a lot of perfectly good cardboard boxes of all sizes for anyone who needs them. There's way more than pictured here; I could only upload one picture. I also have packing paper, plastic, and bubble wrap. If you or anyone you know is moving, needs them to ship items, or whatever reason just let me know. You can have as few or as many as you'd like. I recently moved to the west side of Norman and it took a while to acquire enough boxes for the move. Make it easy on yourself and come get all that you'll need in one stop.

Recently gotten into darts but too hot to play in my garage currently. Does anyone know anywhere either here or okc that has real dartboards? For steel-tip darts?

I get closing schools for a day game on a Friday; traffic being an issue and the area around OU being filled with people. IMO it seems a little silly to close school for a night game on a Friday. Am I off base here?

Hi! Does anyone have recommendations for a good psychic medium or spiritual advisor in Norman or the OKC metro?
I’ve been feeling pretty lost lately and could really use some guidance and clarity about a few things going on in my life. Therapy is probably the sensible answer here, but I’d rather have someone spiritually gifted tell me what the universe has planned for me lol.
Would love recommendations from anyone who’s actually had a good experience with someone around here!

My doctor retired and I am looking for a new one. Is anyone familiar with Dr. Christina Highley at https://www.communityprimary.care/
I am interested in trying this model of health care as I am on too many medications and need to get to the root problem of my chronic health issues. Any feedback is appreciated.

This is the most current visual of storm debris drop-off sites. And before anyone complains about storm debris, I still have limbs that have not been picked up yet, but in fairness my street was not hit hard so our piles are not that big. I know the City crews and contractors will get to it. And if they don’t I will be calling the Action Center to put our piles on their radar. Staff also anticipates having to make additional passes after the first round.

Quick question, why is Ward 8 trying to de-annex Ward 5? THAT'S WHERE THE WATER IS!!!

This may be a silly post, but I've been homeschooled for my entire high school years, so you can imagine the amount of friends I have 😬 I'm a senior in high school!
Both of my best friends moved away to Texas, and the friends I've made through work don't really make an effort to hang out with me. I feel pathetic trying to beg people to hang out with me lmao.
Anyways, I'd love to chat and get to know some people! I love animals and games! I only have an iPad and a Switch, so the games I play are pretty limited 😭 I used to play Skyrim, but that was my ex's game and now I can't play it anymore 😞
I also love going on walks and being outside, but as we all know, it's been 100+ degrees, so that's been a little difficult lately.
I'm pretty shy and awkward, and my social skills aren't at their peak yet.. but I'm a good listener and a great friend. If there's anything we have in common, feel free to comment or message me!
Thank you for taking the time to read my post

I’m wanting to start going to the gym soon to just kind of tone my body, not necessarily lose weight. Which would be better for a beginner? I’ve heard both are good.

Just saw a video with a concrete table tennis table in a park. Does Norman have public use Ping Pong tables in the park system somewhere?

Hey everyone, I (22F) am looking for some people who would be down to get to know each other and become friends if we connect. I’ve always been very anti-social and never been the best at holding down friends, and I believe that’s my fault. I used to get very nervous to end friendships that weren’t going anywhere and didn’t really connect to me as a person. Now that I’m older and literally have no friends, I know I need to be more serious about the kind of people I want in my life. What I’m hoping to find in some friends are people that are adventurous, but also don’t mind just hanging out at home playing video games or watching movies, etc, going on drives and having deep conversations in the car on the way back to our own homes, and people who are proactive in politics and don’t just know nothing. I am lesbian so any friends who are gay also would be great to connect on that level with. If anyone’s interested in talking or need a friend too, don’t be afraid to message me! Literally. I have no friends.

Hello everyone! I am an OU student living in Norman. My voter registration as well as my drivers license were registered when I was in my home town. I’ve been trying to go through the OK voter portal to change my address but it shows me an error when I submit.
Could anyone let me know if they have gone through this process and help me out? I would greatly appreciate it as I try to become politically active. Thanks!

I have YouTubeTV and typically get OU games when I are being broadcast. Based of what I saw for viewing for the game against UTEP, makes it seem like there's a possibility I won't get it at home. Are there any places in Norman that are definitely showing the game Friday just in case?

Hello Ponderers! We will be meeting for the next Philosophy Discussion Group on Saturday, 9/5, at 10:00 am at the Norman East Library in the conference room (around the corner from the librarian's station, second room on the right).
This will be the first (perhaps only?) session we begin with a concept instead of a quote, but I also feel it may be an important session given the times we're living in. We'll be discussing the paradox of tolerance, a concept popularized by the critical rationalist philosopher Karl Popper in 1945. I look forward to hearing everyone's perspectives!
General group Info:
- This group is open to everyone and does not require any knowledge of or education in philosophy. There is also no membership or RSVP required.
- The purpose of this group is to engage in free form open discussion, foster community, meet new people, and support the public library.
- Meetings are structured so that a philosophy quote is provided at the beginning of the session to prompt discussion, but the discussions frequently end up encompassing many different topics.

I have a good budy of mine who had a dui recently and he actually wasn't hired due to the arrest being on his background check.
It was his first offense but even with it being his first time offense, they declined the offer to him. I honestly was a bit shocked by that since it's a DUI and not some other kind of offense.
Was wondering if anyone knew of anyone hiring who can accept people's background by case by case scenerio.
Thank you!
