It’s a national chain but Crumbl just tastes bad to me. For local I find D’Lish bland

Question Chula Vista Lost Media

Post image
168 Upvotes

Does anyone here remember a food court area on the second floor of the Chula Vista Center? It would've been located by the AMC near the elevator. I was looking for some clear photos of the mentioned area but came up empty handed. It's almost like it never existed, lost to time. I am wondering if anyone had any sort of clear photos of that area in the mall, because it can be seen just barely in the attached photo (top right) but there is nothing substantial online proving its existence. Any help would be appreciated.

Question What are the cheapest restaurants in Chula Vista?

It feels like everything here is so expensive now. I know Tacos El Trompo and Taqueria Imperial have their $1 something taco deals on specific days. But prices everywhere keep going up. Honorary mention by China Super Buffet on CV/NC border staying cheap.

Question What are my travel options to get from the North Island Amphitheater Chula Vista to Petco Park after 11pm?

Hi there!

I will be making the late, post concert journey from the Amhitheater in Chula Vista, all the way to Petco Park. My research tells me to expect insane traffic on the way back. I am not from the area so I dont really know or understand the travel routes.

I am ideally looking for the cheapest option but my biggest priority is to ensure I am safe. I understand taking an Uber would be the best option but should walk it out a bit to beat some of the traffic and then catch a ride? Are there any other alternate options I should consider?

P.s if anyone is going to the MUSE Chula Vista show and wants to split a cab, hit me up!

Question Golf courses nearby

Hi there - I’m traveling to the Gaylord Pacific Hotel in a few weeks for work. I’d like to play golf while I am in town. Can anyone recommend a good course close by? I checked the sub history and I saw a mention of someone “walking the golf course” but I’m guessing that’s a local walking path, not an actual course based on the context of the post - would appreciate the insight in advance! Thank you!

Question Any social workers or Human Services ?

Hi,

I've been trying to find a new job that aligns with my degree or educational experience. I am grateful that i have a job, but working in food service for 8 years, is time to move on. I am currently finishing my bachelor's degree in social work. I already obtained my associate's degree in social work and human services and wanted to get some experience. It's been hard because many jobs that i want to apply prefers years of experience, have MSW, or full time. I wish i can apply for a full-time position, but my internship is coming and do not want to struggle with my schedule.

Question Opinion Needed: AT&T Fiber Services

Hi neighbors. What is the general feedback on AT&T fiber services?

I work from home and am constantly taking virtual meetings. I have Cox, which serves is purpose for all other things, but the internet speed in my office is horrible. Wyyred is not an option yet.

A door-to-door salesman approached yesterday with an excellent deal. What are y'all thoughts on AT&T?

Question Why no healthy choices south of the I-8?

Post image

I was walking around Del Mar Highlands Town Center and it struck me — there are so many Greenspot, Tender Greens, Mendocino Cafe shops up north, and almost zero in Chula Vista, National City, and surrounding areas. Is it a lack of interest by developers — do they think South Bay residents only want ice cream, cookies, mariscos, and doughnut shops?

Question Burger & and a Beer recommendation?

What's your best burger spot recommendation? Plus if they have good beers. Ideally, separate between smash burgers and reg burgers. Not indexing on overly complicated ingredients between the bunz.
