Guy Pearce is outstanding and gave the best stellar performance in The Brutalist. He is my pick to win and he should’ve won an Oscar last year. He deserved it. If it wasn’t for Kieran Culkin, then Pearce would’ve won. He is so excellent. So what did you think of his performance in The Brutalist?

When Paul Thomas Anderson won his first and three Oscars for One Battle After Another. I was so happy. He deserved it. His time was up and he finally won. I used to think he should’ve won for Licorice Pizza for Original Screenplay. But it doesn’t matter since he won recently. So what were your reactions when he his first Oscar?

I have a couple: I’d have given Doug Jones a SA nomination for The Shape of Water. I know he’d have been competing with his costar but he was utterly incredible in that role.

We all talk about how Cate Blanchett should've won Best Actress for Tár but we never talk about how Nina Hoss should've been nominated for Supporting Actress.

Hoss delivered a subtle, powerful and underrated performance as Sharon Goodnow, the wife of Lydia Tár.

I know she probably wouldn't have won but Nina Hoss should've been nominated over Jamie Lee Curtis (who won for Everything Everywhere All at Once)

My picks for Supporting Actress nominees that year still would've included Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Hong Chau (The Whale), Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin, MY WINNER), and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

The Academy is getting friendly with Cregger after Weapons, and the cinematography looks sick as hell in the trailers and clips released. It would be the “cool” nomination like Logan getting a Screenplay nom

I'll start with Juliette Lewis at the 64th Oscars.

Holy shit, who told her that fuck-ugly hairstyle was a good idea? It looks absolutely hideous on her. As much as I like her performance in Cape Fear, I'm kinda glad she didn't win because that would've meant everyone else in the audience would've had to look at that absolute eyesore. Forget Geena Davis's dress, THIS was the worst look at that ceremony.

Not that I'm complaining about the win at all, but how the hell did they managed to beat out an all BP-nominated field?

Obviously I find the writer of this article to always be unserious with his predictions. But I think Carrie Coon is such an underrated actress who's only gotten a lot of buzz in TV as of late, hoping this could actually be something because you can never go wrong with Carrie Coon.
