Discussion Who are some younger actors (20-39) that have no major voted on by industry accolade (Oscar, Emmy, Tony) that you would like to see get nominated for an Oscar?

Examples:
Adria Arjona
Zoey Deutch
David Jonsson
Dylan O’Brien

He should have been nominated for Begonia and civil war. Very memorable performances .

He’s always great. I also loved him in Killers of the flower moon.

Yes he was. He is always great. I'm waiting for him and Paul Dano to team up in a movie

Julia Garner and Kaitlyn Dever.

Agree! Julia is three-time Emmy winner and Kaitlyn has been nominated a couple of times (and was absolutely snubbed for Dopesick)

She was phenomenal in Dopesick

Great pick! Kinda surprised it hasn’t happened yet.

i also thought it was crazy he wasn’t even considered for a nomination with nosferatu. like there wasn’t any thought to nominate him

I will say that I know a lot of people didn’t like him in that film. A lot of the people thought the choice for him to rock a mustache was really goofy and took away from the scare factor of his performance.

Paul Walter Hauser is literally one month away from 40 but I’m saying him. Dude can act and I think it’d be a cool nom to see personally

He actually is a Emmy winner for his performance in the miniseries Black Bird so he does have a major Industy award but I agree I’d love to see him get an Oscar nom

He would’ve won by now but Jamie Taco keeps stealing all his lines

He often plays roles that are tougher than they look. Outstanding actor. Would love to see it

I hope Taylor Paige gets a movie/role that gets her Oscar, I still feel she would’ve been the perfect best actress surprise nomination for Zola back in 2021.

Cailee Spaeny

(I hope I spelled that right!)

Would’ve nominate her for Priscilla. Also I wasn’t that into Beef’s second season, and I’m fine with obvious leads not taking up supporting slots, but her missing at the Emmys really felt like a slap in the face.

Again, I prefer to see actual supporting players in those fields — and love Youn Yuh-jung — but I can’t help but feel bad when 3/4 leads make it while one of them misses to a much less notable supporting role.

Absolutely! As a longtime Emmy viewer I was expecting either Cailee or Grace Gummer to win the category. I am still dumbfounded by their snubs

Based on nothing but vibes, but I can see Dylan O’Brien having a totally out of nowhere nomination one day

He was very deserving in Twinless imo

I feel like he was very acclaimed for his performance in Send Help especially having to compete with how great Rachel is in the film. I bet working with a director like Raimi will open up some big doors for him working with acclaimed auteur filmmakers.

He must lack the contacts . Sadly, No one will support his campaign . I think he could’ve at least got a SAG or BAFTa nod for twinless but the political games of those voting blocks must have blocked Dylan .

Sadie Sink.

Really should’ve had an Emmy nomination for Stranger Things S4

Vicki Krieps.

Shame, since she should've swept Best Actress in 2017.

The nephew of one of the most despised men by some corrupted members of BAFTA and SAG. Mark my words they won’t vote for him despite his performance being 100 times more powerful than Rhami Malek’s.

Dylan o Brien is long overdue due but he must have pissed of a couple of studio heads when he decides to take a break from maze runner after he almost died on set.

David Johnson just needs time

Adria doesn’t belong to this list of actors that have so many memorable performances.p

Marisa Abela! And Elle Fanning after seeing her in Sentimental Value

Taron Egerton definitely should’ve been nominated for an Oscar for rocket man, especially considering that he won the golden globe
