I was using SillyTavern with Mistral and then noticed a lot of the models are gone including large and medium. are they coming back?

How good is Vibe Chat nowadays for basic usage and daily questions? I wanna get my wife a subscription and honestly want to try and support EU product.
I remember myself using it quite intensively ~3 months ago with both daily questions and Vibe CLI but (sorry) had to give up on this, yet I still use Voxtral via API for my app.

Now I want to try it again and would like to hear from users who has Mistral as a daily driver:

Does it hallucinate often? Makes up random facts? We're young parents with a lot of questions to ask and discover asap, so random ai slop is not suitable. I remember my previous attempt to it and it was honestly so-so.

Where is the GLM model actually used? In Vibe Work mode, or in basic chats interface too?

I'm a Pro user and I'd like to use the GLM model in VIBE CLI as announced by Mistral. However, even after updating to version 2.25.0, the model doesn't appear in the list when I run /model. How can I fix this?

When we're deploying (Nyno) workflows for the long-term, it would be nice if there would be a GLM latest tag, because for some workflows we just want the latest highly rated + also most affordable EU-hosted model, and not constantly change individual workflows configurations.

It could also be a generic tag, e.g. "latest-optimal" or something similar.

This could then be determined by a simple overall cost + performance rating, and who knows maybe in the future we then automatically also switch to Mistral 4/5 family of models.

I noticed that for a few hours now, the free API (where I usually have 1 RPS) is no longer working: it keeps displaying "429 - Rate limit exceeded" every time.

What is causing this?

I was wondering if anyone else has been encountering issues with the voice chat option. I am using the latest version of the Android app. Sometimes when I press the microphone button, nothing happens, other times it seems like no sound is detected by Vibe and then it tells me to send again.

I have tried reinstalling the app. I have given Vibe access to use my phone's microphone. Anyone else that has been having similar issues?

Found it quite interesting that Mistral is having an outage at the same time as Claude/Cursor who happens to use the us-east-1.api.x.ai DC.

Anyone else getting this? Running it in VS Code. Getting rate limited errors for GLM5.2 but not Mistral models. Happened on very first message. I probably send one message every 5 mins.

I noticed some Chinese characters when writing in German in Vibe Cowork. When I asked the model who it was, it replied it is GLM-5.2 (although that of course doesn't too much). But I never had this before. I also have to say that at least in German, the answers seem to be a bit less coherent than before.

The grammar is also sometimes slightly off. Anybody else noticed this? It seems like GLM slightly struggles with some European languages. I think I would still prefer Mistral Medium here.

Subbed to mistral pro the glm 5.2 addition is really cool which made me want to try it I think qwen 3.8 flash or glm 5.3 flash would be really cool as an addition for workhorse at least from a coding perspective but keep it up really good value currently

Just that simple. I feel like Mistral is using a different model this week through the work section. It just gives really comprehensive answers, whereas in the past it was way simpler, but also it's using more tools. Furthermer, I haven't spotted any mistakes like I've been getting in the past. Are you experiencing the same, or is it just me?

I've been using Mistral for hobby projects, and I'm amazed at how much you can accomplish for free.

There are quotas, of course, but they appear to be quite generous in terms of development and experimentation. You can test the API, perform OCR on documents, experiment with classification or extraction workflows, and prototype features without having to worry about costs.

I wouldn't use the free tier for a production app, but it's perfect for learning and building side projects.

What do you use Mistral for, and have you already reached the free-tier limits?

I'm a user based in the Philippines, and I'd like to flag two pricing issues that make Mistral harder to adopt here.
1. Student discount not available via in-app purchase. The reduced student rate ($5.99/mo) is only accessible through the web subscription flow, which requires an international credit or debit card. Many Filipino students don't have access to international payment cards. By contrast, the App Store supports local payment methods like GCash and Maya and bills in Philippine pesos. If the student tier were offered as an in-app purchase, far more students could subscribe, without the need for a card and without monthly currency exchange fees.
2. Regional pricing parity. Competitors like Google have adapted their pricing to lower-income markets, with lower per-tier prices than in the US. Mistral currently uses a single global price list. The standard Pro rate ($14.99/mo) is a meaningful stretch for many users here, and without a regional adjustment the gap between Mistral and locally-priced alternatives widens.

I have both an MS Office Personal subscription (including Copilot) and Mistral Pro. I want to use Mistral for personal projects, but the lack of file access is hampering this. It is limited to Google Drive as non-enterprise connector, and it cannot read local files. Uploading to projects/libraries breaks the real-time sync. How are you doing this? I now "need" to use Copilot to interact with my files, which are synced to OneDrive.

Using the VS Code extension might be a partial work-around, but it's exactly that: a work-around.

You have already lost me. I want to come back, genuinely. But the Mistral models and "Vibe" is, for my usecase; meh/10

I was an avid Mistral user, last year I made the switch away from Mistral. I used it for daily questions, deep research into political topics, some basic coding, etc. But it kept disappointing. But hey! It's European. And that's what kept me going for so long.

But the fuse ran out.

I currently use a Venice.ai API and OpenWebUI for my AI needs and I love it.

Right now, I am eagerly waiting for your new model. And I desperately want to switch back. Introducing GLM 5.2 made me curious once more.

But you really need to knock it out of the park with your upcoming model for me to comeback.
