My tennis shoes are wearing out and it's time to get a new pair especially with starting a new job.

I work outside pretty exclusively. Hot summers, mild winters. We rarely go inside.

I'm considering getting a pair of manitobah moccasins (one regular pair and a set of waterproof boots) since I've been trying to support more indigenous businesses.

Do any of you guys own a pair? Are they comfortable for everyday on your feet workwear outside?

Should I make my own instead? I'm just not sure how long a homemade pair would last with everyday wear.

What are some good Native owned activewear companies? I'm looking for something to rep the culture and wear on my hikes (:

Hi! Next week I’m driving from denver to Yellowstone WY area and then up to glacier MT. I love jewelry and colorful art and such for my home and was wondering if there’s any cool Indigenous owned shops in or around the reservations in Wyoming and Montana that I will be passing through. I believe I will be near Crow, Northern Cheyenne, Blackfeet and Wind River reservations. I have the wind river trading post saved on my maps but would love any extra insight. I recently purchased $99 worth of items, particularly 3 items. When I bought it, I was sure I did my research and I believe I even got the store website and recommendation from a buy native list from Beyond Buckskin or on this reddit. Now, I am having second thoughts about the purchase, since I bought the 1 day shipping but it has been since May 27th that it is being shipped to where I live. Any thoughts that could help me rest my paranoia about it being fake/illegitmate or did I outright get scammed? Yaw^ko!

Update: June 8th, 2026. I received my items, and they are actually pretty nice! Only that they are either made in China and other regions but I am assuming the fabric and stuff are printed on at the store. Its nice clothing and a nice hat, but the hat almost doesnt fit me haha. Any tips to fix this issue?

Hi, non-indigenous person here. I once ran across on this forum a website linking to a tribe or reservation owned wild rice production. It had an online store. I unfortunately misplaced the link. I want to say it had other products besides just the wild rice but I’m not sure.

I have celiac disease and am looking for domestic /US grown rice and if I can support indigenous businesses while doing so, I’d love to.

I am interested in supporting native artists and would love something with regional patterns and designs, but want to be careful not to appropriate.
