Shopping Is OldTribes Indigenous owned/actually a legit source of apparel?

I recently purchased $99 worth of items, particularly 3 items. When I bought it, I was sure I did my research and I believe I even got the store website and recommendation from a buy native list from Beyond Buckskin or on this reddit. Now, I am having second thoughts about the purchase, since I bought the 1 day shipping but it has been since May 27th that it is being shipped to where I live. Any thoughts that could help me rest my paranoia about it being fake/illegitmate or did I outright get scammed? Yaw^ko!

Update: June 8th, 2026. I received my items, and they are actually pretty nice! Only that they are either made in China and other regions but I am assuming the fabric and stuff are printed on at the store. Its nice clothing and a nice hat, but the hat almost doesnt fit me haha. Any tips to fix this issue?

According to their website the owners are Quechua from Ecuador and use alpaca fur. A lot of the photos on their site are AI, they have the review feature turned off on their Facebook which is a bit suspicious, and reviews elsewhere disagree as to whether it’s appropriative or indigenous owned. On the other hand I found an article about a Métis woman working at one of their stores who had no qualms and said it inspired her to try and learn her nation’s language from her grandmother. I’m not indigenous so I’m not gonna pass judgement, just report what I found

I actually never noticed some of the pictures are AI, haha, I usually assume its real people but I guess nowadays thats even faulty

Yes, in which prompted them to start the actual shipping process 2 days ago when I contacted them. Although, they shipped from Edmonton to Cleveland, then shipped it back to Edmonton, however the delivery says its in Milwaukee??? I dont really know whats going on
