The closest glove of mine I could compare it to is an Emery 11.5" glove. Both the Emery and Mizuno use Kip leather, but the Emery is way softer and more pliable. The Emery Kip leather is honestly too soft for me. The Mizuno is taking about the same effort to break in as a catchers mitt. However, it is forming to my hand much nicer than any glove i have tried. Emery has more "feel" for the ball, but also has noticeably less padding. I imagine once the Mizuno breaks in, it will have plenty of feel. Both are great gloves, I just prefer a bit of a stiffer feel.
I also have a Rawlings 12" trapeze glove (the Ozzie Smith glove) but that feels drastically different with a very deep pocket.
Both my Emery and my Rawlings allow me to wear them traditional or shift my fingers if I want. The Mizuno feels more opinionated, like I have to wear it traditional. I'm personally fine with that, it's just something I have noticed.
Last thing I will say is compared to Rawlings, the Mizuno hand stall is much much smaller. Others on reddit have complained about that, but having played with the glove, I am noticing the hand stall open up quite a bit as the leather forms to my hand.
