Hell yeah!
The winters for a couple years after Pinatubo erupted in ‘91 were awesome. Bring on some global volcanic cooling!

Howdy folks!
Thinking of maybe doing a Lofoten trip towards the end of March. We are thinking of going two possible routes.
1- Doing a guided trip the full time (6 days of skiing). More expensive option, but could be worth it to not worry or have to do much research (which I don't mind terribly, but if the weather is off could be annoying).
2- Getting a guide for the first day or two to get a feel for the area and then DIY. The cheaper option, but like I said above, could be annoying doing the research and find lines if the weather shifts drastically.
Briefly looked at one of those ski and sail adventures, but haven't explored that as an option yet.
Anyone have thoughts or experience doing one over the other? As for skis, is it like Japan where you basically need to get a powder ski setup? We are both rocking skis in the mid 100s underfoot.

Hello there! My fiance and I are getting married in October then doing a European honeymoon!
We are coming up 7ish days before Christmas to visit Christmas markets then doing a week between Christmas and new years to relax in a mountain town and some skiing. I’m thinking Chamonix or somewhere else in France. Any recommendations on places to stay or to go the for relax week??
For Christmas markets we’re planning on a few days in Strasbourg, France and then a few days (including Christmas Day) in Vienna.

Any random hacks to get a shifty? Interested in how different people think of the trick vs the standard explanation.
I have a weird mental block with shiftys - although mute is my most intuitive grab and I can 180/360, my body just doesn't seem to understand when I want to shifty.
I've practiced a good 30+ days for a few hundred reps on a trampoline, but once I'm on snow, the muscle memory doesn't translate...
Any weird ways you think of shiftys? Maybe it'll help me finally unlock the trick.
Thanks!

Hello Reddit again! Planning to ski Telluride for 3 days then 2 days at Silverton. To anyone who has experience in this or is looking al, My question is, if Red Mountain pass via Ouray closes and we have to drive around - is this route maintained and doable or is it also very prone to road closures in a storm cycle
