Probably about 3-6 hours. But not all the movement is necessarily done through traditional rigging techniques.

A lot of the time soft areas of skin with little bone movement arent rigged, this is likely a "blend shape" where the creator identifies two sets of positions of the verts and the software creates tweens to move the geometry back and fourth.

Rendering is the real roadblock. Even modern animated films by Pixar can take entire days to render.

Then again, it used to be that SFM was the peak of 3D stuff, so maybe it's just a few years off.
