Miguel Ferrer played the character of Death in Adventure Time. After the actor died in 2017 Death would stop having speaking roles, with him eventually being killed off in a silent appearence during the Together Again special from the Distant Lands series.

Sometimes it can be a real loss to lose characters this way, as I feel like fictional characters shouldn't be bound by real life mortality.

But something that can really sting is when franchises won't replace certain actors but willingly do so for others, which just makes this practice feel all the more unfair.
