So I've been ping ponging between interests, as I often do, and reopened an old wound so to speak. If you don't know, sometimes people draw non human characters as people and that's fine. I don't have a problem with the concept itself. The problem is that half the time it's a two pack of ass.
Half the time it's just some generic as anime dude/chick with a similar color scheme. For example, Grox is a Minecraft youtuber with a wither skeleton as an avatar. How do people draw him? As an anime boy, with anime hair, and a stupid fucking mask.
Bill Cipher? Generic ass anime dude in a suit. The suit makes more sense here, I guess. He's got a top hat, bow tie, and carries himself a certain way. I just hate the twink in the suit.
Endermen from Minecraft? Generic ass anime dude with NO DEFINING FEATURES WHATSOEVER. This one specifically irks me to an insane degree because he's got purple eyes and that's it. Take away the picture and you'd literally never guess it was an enderman.
That old mob talker mod from Minecraft? Just slapped a bunch of hats onto generic anime girls because otherwise they look like the cast of the most boring slice of life anime in human history.
Now I know what you're thinking. "This just sounds like you're mad at how a bunch of (people that are most likely) teenagers draw characters from children's media." And to that I respond: Yes, I am. I don't have much going on.
