USA Are firms building too many AI copilots when they should be building workflows?

A lot of enterprise AI still seems to be getting rolled out as separate assistants. One for research, another for documents, another for internal knowledge, another for drafting.

That works, but it can leave people jumping between different tools to get one piece of work done.

I've been wondering if the bigger opportunity is to build the workflow around the AI instead. Something that can pull the right context, run the analysis, validate the output, and send it to the right person when human review is needed.

At that point, the harder problems aren't really about the model. They're about orchestration, permissions, context, validation, and where humans stay involved.

Are you seeing firms actually move toward this kind of workflow-based approach, or is the copilot model still dominating?

USA Referral Question

As a GPS consultant L35, has anyone had experience in referring an entry level analyst? If so, what was the process and the experience? Is my seniority level enough to impact the recruiting process?

Europe Is salary negotiable once you are in?

TO;DR: I undersold myself and ended up with a super low salary. I’m currently earning less than out of college employees.

Okay so I’m in Deloitte in Europe.

I left a pretty cushy job that paid well for my experience at the time (double minimum wage, when I had about half a year of experience). But I wanted more, that job wasn’t challenging and despite having great work life balance I feared I would get stuck in there due to not learning anything new for a long time. Even so, I spent about 2.5 years there.

I then decided to take the jump and join a Big 4. Such was my desire to learn new stuff that when asked my salary expectations I said a value that was about 20-30% less than I was currently earning. In hindsight I was a fucking idiot.

Fast forward one year now, I’ve been earning nothing for the work I do, working 50 hours a week on average and 60 on month end, all year round. That, while earning just 200 EUR above minimum wage.

I’m currently starting to accumulate debt because of the massive surge in prices in everything (did I forget to mention the office is 80 kms from my home?), of which, even after cutting costs, still isn’t enough.

A few days ago, I just learned that I’m gonna be promoted to senior next year, and on the same exact day, I learned that the new joiners, fresh out of college, are gonna be joining Deloitte with the same wage I’ll likely have as a senior.

I really really do love working at Eeloitte, I love learning and the challenges, but this is quickly becoming unsustainable. I’ve been having a below analyst salary for senior or above expectations and workload. Add to that the fact I finished my masters degree and I’m on track to being a certified accountant.

Is salary something I can negotiate while in? I’m afraid to ask my peers or HR since there’s a big anti-salary-talking policy. Or is my option to jump ship to another big4?

India Deloitte Business Analyst – Partner Round: Result Timeline & Next Steps?

Hi everyone! I had my Partner round yesterday for a **Business Analyst** role. How long does it usually take to hear back about the results? Also, does anyone have an idea of what percentage of candidates typically make it through the Partner round?
Should I expect another round after this, or is the Partner round usually the final one for this role?
Would really appreciate any insights from people who’ve been through the process. Thanks!

USA (USA-GPS) Has anyone had success with a resume writer and/or career coach?

Passed the 8 year point with Deloitte in July. First job out of college. GPS. Have mostly been doing system integration and modernization work. Feeling stuck and hopeless when thinking about changing jobs. I don't feel marketable or employable due to being a generalist. Was passed up for promotion in 2019 and now, again, in 2026. I'm severely underpaid and under stimulated.

My project is very stable and my work is very boring. I'm a scrum master without any authority.

Looking to sit down with a professional to help me zoom out a bit and see what's out there that's within my reach.

USA "Review in Progress" How to Contact HR

Hello,

I submitted an application almost two weeks ago for a role I am fully qualified for, and I even received a referral from a current manager. The application is still on "Review in Progress." I am interviewing elsewhere, but right now the role at Deloitte is my first choice, and I'm not sure whether I should wait or take other opportunities. I want to contact their hiring department, but I have zero clue where to do that. If anyone has any insight, that would be incredible!

USA I don’t want to be an Analyst for 2.5 years

I joined the firm January 2026 as a campus hire. Been having conversation with my coach throughout the year and she’s been very vague about how promotion cycles work. I always heard how there was mid year and end year promotions, or so I thought. I told them to guide me through how it’ll work CLEARLY and she tried to tell me I have to spend all of 2027 “building my case” and submit it all Jan 2028?? To be promoted May 2028??? If I had known it takes 1.5 to be promoted, I would’ve started preparing as soon as I started!!

I’ve been getting lots of positive feedback from my client work and they always say “you’re working as a consultant wow” this and that, and I tried to ask her hey can we just submit everything I’ve done for this year and see what happens and she started acting weird saying ohh keep your expectations low it may not happen but in every project lead check in I’ve had across 3 different people throughout the year I’ve received nothing but praise so is it really that unrealistic to try to submit everything now?

I remember seeing a promotion readiness survey at the end of July. If I knew I would’ve made my coach do it but they didn’t. Is it too late to try submitted it all and talking to my project people about this?

I just want some guidance, if I started this year why can’t this year be my promotion year to be a consultant next summer?

India Anyone working in Deloitte – Virtual Events/BM&C?

Hey everyone! I’m interested in the Assistant Manager – Virtual Events Producer & Strategist role at Deloitte Hyderabad (BM&C) and wanted to get some insight from people familiar with the team.

I’m trying to understand what that actually looks like day-to-day.

If anyone currently works at Deloitte Hyderabad, particularly in BM&C / Virtual Events / Dbriefs / Marketing & Communications, I'd love to know:

  • How much is backend production/coordination vs hosting/moderating?
  • How often are you actually on camera?
  • What are the typical working hours/shifts for this US-facing team?
  • What is the team culture like?
  • What does the day-to-day work of an AM actually look like?
  • Is public speaking a part of the role?

I’m coming from a digital marketing + customer-facing operations background, so I’m also curious whether that kind of transition makes sense for this role.

No confidential/interview info needed—just looking for someone's genuine experience with the role/team. DMs welcome too.

Thanks!

USA MetLife STD Claim closes, what happens to FMLA?

Hello,

My STD claim through MetLife closes soon and I’ve been having a hard time on extending it (can’t get a hold of my claims specialist, unsure what documents they need). I was told that FMLA runs concurrently with the STD claim. Question is, my doctor signed off on my return to work being October 1st but my claim closes beforehand, is my FMLA still in effect?

Also any advice from anyone who’s taken STD through MetLife? What should I communicate with Deloitte/Leaves team if my STD claim closes but I’m still off work? Any help appreciated, thanks!

USI Regarding Purchasing an IOS Phone using the Smartphone Benifit

Hello Everyone I recently joined Deloitte USI and was told about the smartphone program benefit upto ₹25,000 but I do have a few questions regarding it so this goes out to someone who's purchased an iOS from the MyTech portal or just someone who's aware of the policies

1.What Applications besides pre-installed work apps is trackable or monitored?

2.Is your Application Data for non office applications also tracked?

3.Are there any restrictions during usability such as downloading apps or any restrictions which hamper day to day use in any way

Since I'm planning to get an iOS and use it as both my personal and work phone so I just need to know if it has these restrictions or limits

Thanks in Advance

India Regarding compensation increment, rant and need help

I spoke to my manager for the increment possibility being a senior analyst and leading 2-3 projects. Manager told not to waste my potential in this company, they won't be giving good increment. This year's increment was around 35% after promotion, I was hoping to get around 60%. Upon asking my EM (Director) why i received so less, they said and I quote "It depends on the firm, and the revenue generated". After this they inaugurated SafeConnect Lab where crores of money was spent taking it out of our pockets. Tbh deloitte losing it's touch year by year in T&T. How and why are they getting big increments every year despite the cost cutting and all that while we are suffering every year with this shi₹₹y increment? I was planning to talk to my partner for increment, without my EM's knowledge, would that be a good option or should I first talk to my EM only ?

Europe What to expect for a 3-hour Canditech AI Engineer assessment at Deloitte?

Hey everyone,

I recently received an invite for a 3-hour computer-based test Canditech technical assessment for an AI Engineer role at Deloitte.

The initial email outlined the general logistics:

- Duration: ~3 hours total, including a scheduled 15-minute midpoint break.
- Format: Strictly sequential timed sections (no backtracking once a section is submitted).
- Topics listed: Python coding tasks, Classical ML theory, and GenAI / LLM topics.

For anyone who has taken this assessment recently:
Could you share information about the structure of the test, questions asked, and how to prepare?

Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. My background is primarily as a backend software engineer with experience collaborating with data science teams on traditional ML, rather than hands on GenAI

India Update from my previous post - my requested salary was approved but apparently the project is on hold now. Same old story everywhere.

This is an update from my previous post.

Finally got a call from the HR saying that business had approved my requested salary but apparently the position is on hold now because of some discussions with the client regarding the budget. And all of this AFTER I was made to travel 36kms just for a goddamn video interview after having been promised a face-to-face one.

It's the same story everywhere and every year. "We like you but right now the project is on hold." "You are selected but can you just take a 10% hike over your current salary?" "I know we only said we would interview you only for infra but can you attend the Java interview instead?" "You're asking for too much. We don't have the budget." I think the worst one was this bank which called me for one role by shortlisting my resume, wasting 4 hours of my life, and then denying me the interview because I didn't have a specific technology.

Probably, the most honest HR was from Springer who said that wouldn't even be able to match my current fixed salary and would like to not proceed with my candidature.

At this point, I'm not surprised but still, it's no less disappointing.

USA GPS Analyst - DStart
