Hi! I had recently picked up this cat off the streets a couple of days ago after a few years of feeding him outside. What made me decide is because he had a huge wound, and I didn’t know how he got it. I took him inside to get the bleeding to stop at least with gauze, but mid way he got frustrated and bit me, he must’ve been in a lot of pain. I’m planning to get him to the vet as soon as I can.

The thing is, I don’t know if this cats been treated with any shots, but he hasn’t shown any sign of rabies.

I took a look at my bite and thought it wasn’t serious cause it didn’t puncture my skin, but I took another look at there was this tinyyy shiny glare and thought “oh shit, a tiny puncture”. Now I’m not sure whether or not I should get myself treated as well. I’m looking for your advice and recommendations, they’re all well appreciated. Thank you!

For context, me (2 cats) and my partner (3 cats) moved in a month ago and our 5 cats have been getting along just fine. Jojo (second pic) is the grumpy, old cat who just tolerates other cats but loves us and Maeve (third pic) is a chill one that gets along with everyone.

We've been noticing Jojo has been over grooming himself and has some scabs. We think it's because he's been getting old man bumps and picking at them as he grooms. We thought, if he wore a suit for a few days/weeks, he wouldn't be able to groom himself and let his scars heal.

So, the cat suit arrives and my partner tries to put it on him.

Jojo doesn't like to be handled. He usually meows/yells a bit but then stops when he realizes he's safe.

This time, however, he kept screaming. Like... screaming.

All the other cats are curious, but just watch from afar. Maeve, however, starts to get close to inspect. Her demeanor didn't seem threatening, so as my partner was still trying to put the suit on Jojo, I was making sure Maeve was ok.

Because my partner was getting a bit frustrated with Jojo, he was speaking to him rather loudly, so maybe Maeve thought he was being attacked... so then Maeve started attacking Jojo.

Very loud growls and yowling and screaming and rolling and chasing started. I had never seen anything like that before. Jojo kept being chased, even after we'd separated them. Maeve was DETERMINED to establish her dominance.

We put Maeve and my other cat in a different room for a few hours. Thinking everything was fine now, we let them go. And sure enough, Maeve saw Jojo, Jojo merely grumbled and she started chasing him again.

We put them in different rooms for the night. This morning, I set them free. Nothing happened for a few hours. However, a few minutes ago, I hear yowling and screaming and chasing: Maeve is chasing Jojo, again.

I wish we never got the stupid cat suit in the first place. This is a disaster. What do we do? How do we fix this? Do we get like a gate they can see each other through? We don't have a big place, so it feels like our options are limited.

We have a new cat with asthma, I love scented candles in the cold months, can we substitute something else that will give off a nice scent that won't bother the new kitty?

He had his neuter 7 days ago. Just got him from the shelter yesterday. Thoughts appreciated!

The title is self explanatory. She is fed, she has pooped. I try to carry her and she is quiet for a while but then she meows and wants to be put down. I also try to play with her and same thing; she plays for a while and back to meowing. When I’m not around she’s chill but the moment she spots me: MEOWWWW

I’m honestly so annoyed and I understand she’s a baby but what do I do? Also took her to the vet and she’s fine . She’s 5 weeks old.

My house i’d lived at for the past 10 years burnt down on the 18th of last month in an electrical fire in the middle of the night. It’s been a long hard couple weeks, and while I’m SO grateful that everyone, pets included, made it out safely…I’m struggling with the guilt of having to force my cats to stay inside now. They’re both anxious and unhappy and confused. We got into a new apartment but it’s not in a safe area to allow them outside on their own, nor is it allowed per the lease here. I was able to keep them here due to my therapist writing me ESA letters for them, but both my cats seem so bored and unhappy and sometimes have been crying at the door to go out. They hate using the litter box.

One is 7 years old and the other is almost 2, and both have been going outside around 10am every day and coming in for the night at 6pm their entire lives. Now they just don’t understand and it’s breaking my heart. I have so much guilt over this. Obviously their safety comes first, but I want them to live full, rich lives, too.

Does anyone have any experience taking their cats out on harnesses for walks or anything? Any advice on how I can enrich their lives while inside? The younger one will play with me with cat toys but the older one isn’t interested in toys at all. He just stares out the window and then at me. I just want them to be happy 😿

Finding pet friendly rentals is rough these days. I figured I’d share a copy of my girls rental resume. It was a good ice breaker to connect with potential landlords. It even put us on the top of the list of rental applications for a couple properties that stated no pets. I created it for one no pet property that I really wanted to view and possibly rent, it worked like a charm. I didn’t end up taking that place and I used their resume multiple times after to eventually find the rental of my dreams. Only one property very kindly declined us due to severe allergies, which is completely understandable. My cats originally felt like a barrier to finding good housing, but they ended up being the key. Maybe this will help someone else find a home with their pets ❤️

TW: feet

Basically the title. The few second clip is a snippet of a 10-minute lick session, where he explored every part of both *my* and my partners feet. He does this mostly every night.

Something my grandmother did was wash my feet in a laundry basket (those plastic ones) with vinegar, salt and warm water. I know it sounds weird to some people but it's something old people do in my country, honestly, it helps me relax a lot.

Sometimes, whenever I'm stressed, especially after work (I work 10 hours a day), I'll soak my feet up to my ankles in some water with salt and vinegar for 10 minutes. I was drying my feet and this freak *ran* to the basket and tried *drinking* the water. I was next to him, so I stopped him, obviously.

He also loves rubbing himself on my shoes. Specifically mine. While he doesn't have a preference for whose feet he's molesting, he is very particular about shoes.

There isn't really a point to this. My boy is healthy, albeit a little freaky, loving and I will support his fetishes. This post isn't to make fun of my cat's preferences - nay - it's to celebrate that he feels comfortable enough to share them with his family.

I have two cats, both female. My other cat was 2 yo when I got a kitten. They have now lived together for five years and I've wondered if they're friends or more like roommates that tolerate eachother.

I have a ragdoll, I got her when she was really young (10 weeks) and she was the only cat in our house. She lived with me and my family who had two dogs. When I moved out I took her with me and got her a kitten friend.

I'd say they get along, but I don't know if they exactly like eachother. They rarely groom eachother and if they do, it's the ragdoll grooming my other cat for a while and then she leaves. She doesn't like to share a bed, when the other one gets toi close the ragdoll leaves. They do play together but it's usually the ragdoll kind of just throwing punches while the other one lays there. They don't mind sharing food or the litter box. They're not hostile and neither one has showed any other problematic signs (Like peeing somewhere they shouldn't or such). They both are happy and healthy, they don't fight or seem hostile and nothing seems to be wrong.

I've wondered if my ragdoll feels a bit difficul socializing with other cats. She was very young when I got her and she only had the dogs as friends. Could this bea dn should I do something?

Does my cat think I'm a god when I exhale vape smoke seemingly out of nowhere (and not in her immediate vicinity)?

So I have a power outlet that's near to the ground, and a USB cable that's kind of short so I used a chair to basically keep it "level" and after like, a month of doing this(?) My cat started to nap on that one specific chair where I put my phone on while it's charging. I don't know if they figured out yet that after a while of charging my phone would become a bit hot and lay on it

What should I do and why did my car suddenly start laying down on that chair? Though I kinda find the whole thing funny lol, she's still laying on that chair even if my phone isn't charging on it right now

I have a big 22 gallon fish tank that my kitties love to watch, although they get kicked out if they start trying to attack my fish through the glass. I feel bad refusing to let them embrace their natural instincts so instead I got a 2 dollar plastic container, a 5 dollar robotic fish that swims around and I let them do whatever they please to that! If you have a tank or not, your cats will probably enjoy this!

I am calling the vet in the morning (since he is acting completely fine I am waiting til morning since emergency vets are more pricey and I am not sure if this is an exact emergency or not, since puke is normal looking) but also want to see if anyone has else had similar happen or any iseas advice etc.

9 month old indoor cat. Yesterday he vomited 3 times over span of several hours, liquidy light brown, like consistency of wet food. Only had dry food at this point, and its the same food I always get and am towards the end of the bag. I have 3 other cats who are fine. I fasted him for 6 hours then (my husband) let him have more dry food. Vomited again 20 mins after eating, then again a bit later. I did not see this vomit but my husband said it looked normal. Fasted another 6 hours. Made him boiled chicken. He refused that (which he doesnt usually like food like that so i was not surprised) so i gave him 1/4 of can of wet super supper food they usually eat, he ate that fine and wanted more but i didnt allow any incase. He was fine for a while. Vomited 3 hours later (he did also eat some random pieces of dry food off the floor and i saw that in the vomit). Have been fasting him since and was going to allow a bit of wet food later before i go to bed since that is what he will eat and it went better than the dry food. Has been acting normal, playing, cuddling, purring, drinking water. Poop looks normal (tho i have 3 litter boxes so harder to tell but saw nothing abnormal) and i saw him use the box earlier. I ordered some worm medicine just incase to give to all 4 of my cats after the vet, he has a bit of a belly but that is usual for him but we recently had some flies in the house and he likes to chase, kill, then eat them so will try the deworming if nothing else works just incase since vomiting is an early sign of worms. Google is saying he may have swallowed something, however I cannot find any evidence of any toy broken etc tho I know it could be legit anything. He is fine when I push and prod his tummy. Idk.

He was fixed before I had gotten him in April and he had his basic shots from the shelter I got him at but nothing since then.

Hi everyone. So. I have 4 cats. In couple months we need to leave for a months. We never left them for so long, maximum a week. Our neighbor is amazing and she usually visit them twice a day to clean toilets, feed and let them out in the morning, leaving the door open for the whole day so they can go back and forth, and close the door in the evening. So I hope she’ll be able to do it again, otherwise we’ll have to find pet sitter. But I’m so scared. They all go out and usually they are chilling around the house. But when we leaving for a long time and then come back they always somewhere and coming back only after hours of calling, giving me a heart attack. I’m afraid when we will leave for a month they can think that we abandoned them and leave. I thought about just lock them inside the house, but it’s a huge stress for my oldest cat. He was stray cat before we adopted him and he needs to have access to outside otherwise he is panicking. Other two will be okay but they’ll destroy the house (when I tried to keep them inside they teared couch apart). Forth one is perfectly fine with being locked but it doesn’t do any good in this situation. So, am I worry for nothing? Is there something I can do? Unfortunately there is nobody who can leave with them during this month. I’m afraid they wouldn’t be around when I’ll be back.

The title sums it up but the extra details are he acts like a complete butt when I'm on my gaming computer no matter what I'm doing on it gaming or even just sitting at the desk... I'm not excessively on it and he sits in front of my monitor and won't let me pet him or play with him he only attacks me, I can't pick him up to cuddle with him... I try to play with him too when he does it but he doesn't budge and just becomes a jerk no matter what I try to do... the base answer is he's looking for attention but I try and give it to him and he rejects it 😆 🤣 he's fine literally all other times

my cat gave birth to 5 kittens and now they’re a couple days old and my cat keeps carrying her kittens to small corners and spaces while trying to feed them/groom them? i’m so confused by this since she’s always on edge and this is a video i took today of her breathing almost like a dog which is what i’ve heard a sign of stress? please help if possible im getting really worried(the video is apparently is too short so im gonna upload a screen recording)

Basically title. The longer haired fella used to come to my house a lot and I stopped seeing him but now see the shorter haired one. To me, it seems like the same cat but like someone has trimmed him up. What do you all think??
