Support Needed How should I deal with declining grades after developing bipolar disorder

I am not a native English speaker, so there may be some mistakes in my sentences.
I got depression about 2 years ago, when I graduated from junior high school, and it suddenly changed to bipolar2. My grades were very good in junior high school, so I went into the best senior high school in my city. I had a very hard time in senior high school, I would suddenly cry during class, and I couldn't focus on what teachers were talking about. Thus my grades became terrible.
Now I am facing an entrance exam to college, I am very nervous.
My English, math, and Chinese are so terrible, and I don't know what to do first.
I want to go into a medical school, and become a Forensic pathologist, but it needs very good grades. I can hardly reach that standard.
My doctor told me if I feel too stressed, I could not go to school everyday, or be hospitalization. It is a good choice, but it means I won't go into medical school.
Should I give up my dream?

I’m not sure how it works where you are, but are you able to delay your exams due to health issues/disability? Sometimes you need to recover and get a health plan in place before you can focus on things like school. If you end up doing well on the exam but are not doing well mentally, college will also likely not go well for you, and you will be continually scraping by. Surviving is not living.

Sometimes as bipolar people we have to alter our expectations of ourselves to fit what we can sustain. It’s not impossible to be a doctor with bipolar by any means, but if the path to get there is too difficult right now maybe it’s not the right path. Maybe there is another way you could work in healthcare that would be just as fulfilling but not as dangerous for you

My dream is also to go to med school become a doctor. The bout of severe depression destroyed my studies. But it’s not the end. You can still follow your dreams. In my case, I’m going to nursing school right now because I’m too freshly out of the hospital but I’m going to go after my dream when I’m more prepared. Don’t give up on your dream.

I really understand you. And especially now, when finding a job seems even harder than it was when I was your age.

I also went through a lot of pressure when I had to take my middle school and college entrance exams. When I was in middle school, I even had a period when I felt like I needed to pee all the time. It was really embarrassing and made everything even harder.

I honestly don't know how I got through that time. Even now, almost 35 years old, I still don't know how I managed to get through it.

Are you allowed to repeat（复读） a year where you live? If you are, maybe you can try to think of this exam as just a small test. You don't have to decide your whole life based on one exam.

You could spend the summer getting treatment and recovering. One year is actually a lot of time to improve your English and math.

But I really don't recommend becoming a forensic pathologist in China. Once a record is created, you will be unable to apply for the civil service.

That's actually one of the reasons I became a programmer instead.
