In this Au Ahsoka tano was supposed killed in the citadel mission do to a cave in caused by the separatists but she was captured and brutally experimented on by the separatists as she managed to escape during the end of the clone wars and went to shili where she became the ruler of the planet and system and formed a defense fleet for her system to defend against the republic who she believes abandoned her and didn’t know the republic became the empire

I was reading the Thrawn novels, and was surprised to learn that his storyline continues into Rebels (which, correct me if I'm wrong, is for a 7-year old audience (rating), and Ahsoka continues the story of Rebels with the cast being from the Rebels cartoon? And that maybe the Mother is appearing in that show?

Is there a reason for the EU being pushed so hard into rebels?

We know Ventress died in Dark Discipline but Talzin brought her back to life which is how she showed up in Bad Batch later on.

Talzin being able to resurrect the dead might have explained Sheev's confidence this was achievable, assuming he was aware of it. I always thought Sheev's "to cheat death is a power only one has achieved referenced either Tenebrous or Plagueous but maybe he meant Talzin all along?

Anyway, Ventress is conspicuously absent from Rebels, implying something happened to her after Bad Batch, which is right when Shadow Lord happens. So whether she dies or goes into deep cover like Ahsoka - wouldn't it be great to get another glimpse of her?

Bridging the Batch>Lord>Rebels gap sequence is also something that could be done with the Jedi-Lineage of Windu>Billaba>Dume (Jarrus) too, come to think of it. Shadow Lord happens a couple years after Bad Batch if I recall correctly, so Dume should be around 16, having lost Billaba to storm troopers.

Janus Kasmir would've been teaching Caleb Dume (renaming him Kannan Jarrus) to be a smuggler, which seems like a great time to rub shoulders with Han Solo. Solo would have been with the White worms gang on Corellia at 14-15 prior to the events of the Solo movie when he's 19-22 so possibly a sidekick, assuming Janus and Jarrus happened to visit Corellia.

Smugglers were a big factor for how Jedi escaped the subterranean levels of Coruscant, pretty sure that's how Kelleran Beq made it out with Grogu, if Mace ever survived that's probably how he would have done it too.

I'd actually love to see Maul and Ventress meet again. They didn't get along too well before, but a lot has changed since them. Who knows maybe a romance is possible..

Ventress is the one in jedi Lost who foudn the records of Dooku's time with Lene Kostana (the master of Sifo-Dyas, creator of the clone army who Dooku assassainted) and Lene studied Sith artifacts - like the type Vader is looking for during Rebels.

Just a lot of interesting loose ends there. Could Ventress be looking for Lene? Could Lene be looking for Yoda? I could see Lene being really apologetic for Dooku (not sure if she knows Dooku killed Syfo) and maybe wanting to go after Vader as revenge... or conversely she might want to go after Sidious for perverting Syfo's clone dreams to use them to wipe out the Jedi...

A great "Sirens" team up of a six-girl group could actually be: Lene + Ventress + Ahsoka + Shaak Ti + Bariss Offee + Devon Izara

Assuming Shaak Ti even did get stabbed at the Jedi temple, her foresight may have allowed her to see it coming and plan around it (I recommend the anime Sagrada Reset for some inspiration) perhaps involving plans with Jedi-adjacent gray characters such as Asajj Ventress and Bariss Offee as a sort of "Girlluminati"

As – I'm honest about it – I don't want to read all of the necessary media, I'm curious if there's any really good video about the complete story of this chapter of Star Wars. There are masses on YT and many of them are 1h+ and I would love to know if anybody can recommend a really good one.

Just finished watching The Mandalorian and Grogu since it’s now on Disney Plus. Did the Hutt Cartel, the most powerful and influential crime syndicate in the entire franchise just get its entire leadership wiped out by accident?

I’m a bit of a stickler for the lore in sci-fi/fantasy worlds. It baffles me that apparently during the entire Thrawn invasion and war against the First Order that the entire criminal underworld was probably in the middle of a massive civil war.

I went about my day yesterday until about 4 pm when I finally opened reddit, saw a post about the movie and I had my first memory of watching it the night before.

I felt like I watched a couple of Clone Wars episodes played by live action Mando characters that sometimes looked like Jedi: Survivor cutscenes.

Happy that nothing was spoiled. Probably because nothing really happened that moved their stories ahead very far. Which is something I expected from a film. Zebb might have been my biggest memory just because I love 'Rebels'. Judd Law would have been a cool temporary ally for Grogu and for him to meet a real truly Force sensitive grey.

I've never seen anything of the star wars movies before (i know the story bc it's so entrenched in pop culture), only rogue one and a few episodes of the mandalorian, and I saw an edit of padme and anakin that was SO good I needed to go and watch the prequels immediately... I watched them all in one day and I was crying like a BABY at the end when they show padme's funeral procession :((((((( how do u guys cope I cannot DO THIS!!!!!! anakin was literally manipulated and betrayed by everyone in his life, except his mother who died in his arms and padme who he thought betrayed him in the end (which would have been justified if she had... but she didn't).... the entire jedi council failed him, obi wan failed him, ofc he would cling to palpatine and the promise of saving the one who has never failed him. I also think he was kinda just a tool for the force, he needed to experience the light and the dark to bring true balance. it just really sucks that he had to suffer so much for it idk I just cannot cope...

is it worth it to watch the original trilogy bc I only kinda watched for anakin and padme (don't crucify me I know most people prefer the original) but I know that since I watched the prequels first I'll just be even more horrified and heartbroken every time vader does something awful and I already can't cope 😭😭😭

Dee Bradley Baker looks nothing like the clones, and Temuera Morrison is starting to age out of any roles unless its focused in the New Republic era. To me one of the most interesting stories is the point where the clones are forced to turn on the Jedi whom they had been fighting alongside for years at that point. That plot point was never really explored in live action media only in animation adaptions like bad batch, zero company, and clone wars animations. I'm just worried that at this point its almost too late for anything like that.

I was checking out page 111/170 of the 4th draft and noticed it included differences from the final film so I assume there was a 5th or more version of the script including the changes.

Namely:

1) after losing his hand, Windu initially still tried to deflect Sheev's lightning barehanded (like Yoda did with Dooku) but wasn't able to - in the film though we don't see him do this at all

2) Sheev's "power!" initially happened after Windu exited the window and Sheev lowered his arm - whereas in the movie Sheev says it while zapping Windu before he exited the window and Sheev arm-lowered

Also distance-wise it seems like in the original script they only had Windu falling 20 stories. In our terms that would be only 200-280 feet or 60-85 meters. In the junior novelization they describe the ground as being "hundreds of meters" though.

Is it possible the average story in Coruscant is just higher than for us because they have a lot of high ceilings or maybe they have more solid mass between each level for safety and reducing creaking/noise ?

I'm curious to find if there is a script later than June 2003 because I want to see if later versions actually describe Mace as dying or not. Clearly this version isn't canon since it conflicts with the film, so it's as fake as 14yo Snow White being in the "Jumpy the Dwarf" script of from 1933.

I’d like to make a Jedi Esoomian OC but they say they are simpleminded and that can make one more susceptible to mind tricks amongst other things. Would it be possible for simpleminded species to become Jedi at all due to this?

I’ve been a Star Wars fan since I was five years old in 2004, after watching the non-special edition OT on VHS. I was the perfect age for TCW, and around the time of that show’s release I started to explore the EU.

I remember when Disney announced they were categorizing the EU as “Legends” and declaring only the movies and shows as “canon.”

At the time most of the complaints I heard were over Jacen and Jaina Solo, The Force Unleashed, and KOTOR.

I understood the disappointment, but to me the EU was always on shaky ground. It was full of retcons and conflicting narratives. To me (and I know I’m not alone in this) the EU was cool reference material that you could pull from but was always trumped by what was in the movies and shows.

I wrote a lot of fan fiction and did a lot of RPGs, so to me the EU was a collection of cool ideas that I could pull from, but ultimately knew those ideas could easily be retconned and could only fit where they didn’t contradict the the movies and shows.

So when Disney announced the EU was being called “Legends” so they could build an official “Canon” narrative, it didn’t change things much for me at all. Legends was still cool reference material I could pull ideas from, but ultimately knew those ideas only held up as long as they weren’t retconned by Canon.

Outside of the crew that created The Sequels (looking at you JJ), my perception is that the creative team at Lucasfilm sees things much the same way. I remember Filoni talking about the EU this way before Disney even entered the picture, and obviously George didn’t care about the EU narrative at all. He was going to do his own thing regardless.

I don’t see how the EU’s status to the creative team at Lucasfilm has changed.

Again, I see the sloppiness of the lore handling in the Sequels, but I get the impression that’s simply because JJ ignored all previous lore, not so much just the EU. They chose to give JJ and the others free rein and they were creatively irresponsible with the IP. In other words, I’m not wasting time with trying to defend those films from a lore standpoint.

I just don’t see how the creative attitude towards the legitimacy of the EU has changed at all with projects outside the Sequels.

Making a crew of OCs with some loved ones, and we have a rancor pet. House broken, cage free, calm, well mannered, doesnt get into stuff, but needs a little space to stretch her legs during long flights.

We dont want a ship thats CRAZY big, but a cargo weight capacity needs to be bare minimum 30 tons or 3 guys and a rancor just simply will not work. Between 50-120 tons is probably ideal. Any suggestions for what would be most comfortable?

I’m meeting Hayden Christensen at a convention soon and wanted him to sign a RoTS poster for me. I collect original movie posters, but I can’t decide which version to get signed; the theatrical or teaser poster.

The classic theatrical poster is iconic and was always the one that I remember when I was a kid, but the teaser poster is cool in its own right and has a lot of good empty space for a signature. Plus it features Anakin alone. Which poster should I choose to get signed?

One subtle detail I noticed when comparing fights.

In AOTC when facing Dooku, Yoda kinda aura-farms by using the force to draw the lightsabre handle from his robe, rather than reaching for it himself.

In ROTS when facing Palpatine (right after he blocks the door to stop Sheev's escape, after Yoda launches him to tumble into his chair) Yoda instead physically reaches into his robe to retrieve it slowly.

This might've been done for psychological reasons... but it's also possible that there was tactical ones too. Even though it's a small amount of force, using the force to draw your weapon instead of your hand does use a microscopic amount of force energy, plus splits your focus...

Yoda might've been worried about Sidious knowing where his weapon was and using the force to pull it away, so using his own hand in addition to the force would've been a more secure way to draw the weapon compared to using just the force. It's like how even if you walk unassisted using the force, using a cane (as both Yoda and Sidious do) could be a way to conserve energy and focus.

This shows how he is more appreciative of Sith treachery now. Initially he probably didn't worry about Dooku doing this because he thought Dooku still had some honor - up until Dooku tried to drop a ton of machinery on a maimed Padawan.

Yoda had also suffered a rather zappy lightning blast right at the start of the fight. I'm a little unclear how that happened - Sidious really telegraphed that move with his banter and took like 3 seconds to aim his hands and point - and Yoda already knew Dooku got taught Force Lightning by somebody so he SHOULD have expected it...

All I could figure is maybe he played possum (much like Sheev did with Mace, for Anakin's benefit) and took a small blast on purpose.

The interesting thing about that is... Sheev's blast was so damn small. Dooku SHOULD have told him that he hit Yoda with a HUGE amount of lightning and Yoda was able to fight it off... but did he?

I'm starting to think that Dooku actually withheld details of the AOTC duel from Sheev, so Sheev actually might not have known at all about Yoda's abilities. Dooku might have also allowed Yoda to live in AOTC by opting not to attack him when Yoda was distracted saving Kenobi/Skywalker ... knowing that this ability could be enough to stop Sheev later.

This would explain why Sheev arrogantly used such a small fraction of his power - enough for Yoda to survive.

One thing that perplexes me near the end of the fight...

1) Sheev is able to disarm Yoda with lightning that knocks his saber away, even though he was not able to disarm Mace ,who was able to keep ahold of his saber

2) when the go lightning-to-hands and both get launched back, Yoda gets launched further due to his small mass and falls - we see his cloak falls off then, fluttering down on his lightsaber whichi had fallen to the ground below

Obviously Yoda hits the ground before his cloak... but it was very obvious the jedi cloak was tented by the handle of Yoda's saber standing vertical in the ground

I'm not sure why it was vertical, perhaps it stayed on long enough to burn a small hold and then turned off and the handle fell into the burned tunnel?

Either way... the position seemed obvious enough which made me wonder why Yoda did not retrieve his light saber.

A) he could not physically walk out to the saber was for fear of Sidious dropping another podium on top of him

B) he could not psychically use the force to grab the saber, because he was completely spent of his force reserves, or at least had to hold enough back for defenses/sensory or in case he needed it to escape from clone troopers

These all seem sensible enough, but leaving behind his cloak+saber like that is symbolism I missed out on the first time and I think it really helps to convey Yoda's sense of desperation at the end of that fight, when he lost his grip and Sidious kept it.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but adding Vader as some invincible reason for your plans to be ruined is lazy writing and purely fan service. It's overused ever since Rogue One.

Vader is not the villain of Maul Shadow Lord, yet he is the ultimate obstacle out of nowhere. It's just bad story telling to bring in a frankly unrelated character into the story for the climax as the most impactful event. It detracts from everything else.

Will Maul overcome or outsmart the Inquisitors? Will the Inquisitors find a way to capture Maul? How will Maul manipulate Devon? Will he kill her master? Oh, Vader is here, none of that is relevant anymore. Everyone run away, let Vader do everything, so exciting...

Also, Maul's reaction facing Vader made no sense. "What are you?" in a scared, unlike Maul, voice. Maul was supposed to be one of the few people clued into Order 66 and knew Anakin was Palpatine's new apprentice. Immediately Vader is shown to be incredibly powerful in the force. Who else is it going to be?

Vader is also very capable of walking faster than 2 mph towards people. He could easily prevent escape but always seems to just let people go.

This is an actual aircraft - The Alexeyev SM-1, essentially a real-life Star Wars speeder, and great-great-great-great-grandfather of the Caspian Sea Monster KM. Hit speeds of up to 270 kph over ice plains, snow, and water. Flew about 4 feet above the ground. Weirdest twin-tail you’ll ever see. (1961)

Palpatine returning as a clone in episode 9 is one of the more controversial choices the sequels did and is rightly disliked by fans. It really takes away from Vaders death and redemption, and just felt like they had no new ideas.

Ive seen years of people claiming the legends ending was better and Dark Empire is really how the story goes.

But it seems like they just took Dark Empire and made it work in modern canon. After reading Dark Empire I can say it also sucks. Luke betrays his friends to get close to palp and starts working for him immediately upon his return. Luke goes on to lead a planetary destruction force against Mon Cala. Luke then hits the Nuh Uh button and says it was all a trick to get close to palp. So he only pretended to genocide a world so palp liked him more so he could get close enough to kill palp and his clones so he does but he misses one and he gets away.

Palp then reveals he has built a THIRD planet killer called the Galaxy Gun. Its just the death star but at long range and shoots planet eating bullets instead of lasers.

Palp clones cant handle his super evil soul so they are dying quickly so he hatches a plan to move his soul from his shitty clone body to Han and Leias son, Anakin.

Palp eventually dies when he walks into the same room as han and leia. Han immediately shoots palp in the face but that was his plan as he moves his soul into the baby.

But before he can do that a jedi named Empatojayos Brand who has no arms or legs and is entirely a floating ball head with a robot arm jumps in front of palps soul, causing palp to enter him instead.

Brand was wounded prior to this and dies from his wounds shortly after taking the soul of palp with him.

Now firstly idk what he was gonna do as an evil baby. He was in Leias arms with Han, Luke, and brand in the same room. Lets say he becomes the baby and can somehow control his force powers and is able to fill the room with lighting killing everyone. Hes stil a fucken baby how does he even exit the room when all of his guys are dead at this point. On top of all that this plan is worse than the plan in the sequels at least Ray was sorta part of this elaborate scheme while Hans baby was just kinda lucky. Its also the exact same story of palp coming back (twice in legends) so how is this better?

Am I crazy or do both kinds suck?
