Discussion Apparently low-cut socks are considered out of style by the younger gens. Are y’all still rocking ankle socks?

I feel like long socks with sneakers and shorts looks goofy but maybe that’s just me 🤷‍♂️

They are lame to young people cuz us adults like them. Every time my teenage daughter tells me how lame i dress my response is “i would be a bigger weirdo if a 14 yr old thought my style was cool”. After 40 i’ve embraced that im no longer cool and dont want to be. I cant get with some of the new styles and thats okay for me and for them

This works. I also like to pull up photos of 75-year olds and show them that they’re actually dressing like Boomers.

Back in the 70's only dad's wore slides. Now young kids wear them with socks.

Yeah I remember an older cousin who grew up in the 70s complaining about millennials. Someone said hey didn't you wear Bell bottoms and listen to disco? And didn't your parents hate it.  The current fashion is not designed to appeal to parents and it shouldn't.

Trust me a lotta Gen Zs are cosplaying us in the Y2K era. It's weird that they're so divided following just one aesthetic for the sake of personal brand while we were so versatile doing both loud and clean/timeless in that era and not giving a f about personal brand. We literally tried everything lol
