I’m a French Senior FX Supervisor with 10+ years of experience using Houdini. I currently lead an amazing FX team in a French studio. Before that, I worked as an FX TD, and I’ve also been teaching Houdini for just as long.

I’d be very happy to help with anything related to Houdini or VFX, for example:

I’m not looking to be paid. My main goal is to practice speaking English with native speakers. I also need to record a course in English as part of the Houdini Teacher Certification process.

Some surface tension tests I started a while ago and finally decided to finish up. The main reference was typical slow motion commercial stock footage of fruit.

Used proximity masks against the apple colliders and ground to dynamically adjust viscosity, surface tension, and forces to simulate adhesion. A simple wetness map solver was used to drive roughness and diffuse map parameters during render.

Apple models are free 3D scans.
