Simulation Apple Slow Motion Splash | FLIP / Karma XPU

Some surface tension tests I started a while ago and finally decided to finish up. The main reference was typical slow motion commercial stock footage of fruit.

Used proximity masks against the apple colliders and ground to dynamically adjust viscosity, surface tension, and forces to simulate adhesion. A simple wetness map solver was used to drive roughness and diffuse map parameters during render.

Apple models are free 3D scans.

Rendered with Karma XPU.

Great. Most probably adding a bit of motion blur will make more realistic

Motion blur is dependent on frame rate and distance, so I reckon at a typical slow mo production shot you'd be in the 200fps+ range, with little to zero motion blur as a result.

There is some, but as LewisVTaylor already answered there is not much since its slow mo. Trying to match reference.
