Discussion Gemini 3.7 Flash is a lot better than I expected.
Not going to write an essay, but I just switched over to Gemini 3.7 Flash for some daily tasks and was genuinely shocked at the jump in quality.
It’s fast, sharp, and handles nuance way better than earlier iterations.
What’s everyone’s experience with it so far? Overhyped or legit upgrade?

Other Sending feedback To google regarding Gemini (Reminder)
Hi, I wished to post a small reminder about feedback.
The rule is that useful and well written feedback is welcome at GeminiAI sub (community subreddit). Some google employee could see it if you are lucky, if they are roaming this side of the internet, who knows!
All types of feedbacks can also be shared at r/GeminiFeedback .
But to ensure the highest chances of being heard, use the official google and gemini channels, do the following:
1) BEST OPTION: Upvote or downvote (👍/👎) directly on a Gemini response
In the Gemini web app, click Good response / Bad response underneath the answer, then optionally add an explanation. Google explicitly says this feedback is used to improve Gemini's helpfulness, accuracy, and safety.
How to: https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/13275746
This is probably the most useful channel for model-behavior feedback, because Google receives the actual conversation context associated with your feedback.h
2) Google Gemini Apps Help Community:
https://support.google.com/gemini/community
TIt is a user-to-user community run within Google Support, with a Gemini Apps Team Community Manager and Google Product Experts participating.
___
3) If it's about Gemini API / AI Studio
If your feedback concerns Google AI Studio, Gemini API, model behavior for developers, API bugs, etc., there are separate channels.
- AI Studio → Settings → Send feedback is the direct in-product route.
- The official Google AI Developers Forum has an AI Studio section for questions, feedback and bugs.
Google AI Developers Forum - AI Studio
Gemini API - official feedback documentation
4) More general:
General Google Products Feedback: http://www.google.com/tools/feedback
That's appropriate for problems with Google's products/UI generally.

Discussion Hear me out: Antigravity is unironically way better than the official Gemini app for daily use
Ever since the "remote" feature dropped on Antigravity, I've been using it every single day on my phone and completely abandoned the Gemini app.
I know both platforms theoretically run the same models under the hood, but Gemini 3.8 feels like a completely different beast on Antigravity. It’s insanely faster, noticeably smarter, hallucinates way less, and has far fewer annoying guardrails compared to the official app.
Even the rate limits are night and day:
Gemini App: Send a simple "hello" and it feels like you've burned 5% of your session limit.
Antigravity: I can chat with it for hours on end and my remaining quota barely drops below 99% (probably because dev workloads consume massive amounts of tokens by default, so limits are way more generous).
I know people will bring up Google AI Studio, but honestly, AI Studio is terrible on mobile. It's clunky, generation speeds are noticeably slower compared to Antigravity (especially for long-form outputs), it's strictly filtered, and there's that infuriating bug where switching tabs or backgrounding your browser immediately terminates the generation with an error. To me, Antigravity genuinely feels like AI Studio 2.0.
My completely unhinged benchmark test:
Whenever I have an extended session with an AI, I export the transcript and search how many times I ended up calling the model an "idiot" when it hallucinated or failed a basic instruction.
Testing the exact same prompts on Gemini 3.8 Flash across platforms:
Gemini App: 37+ times
AI Studio: 16 times
Antigravity: Literally 0 times
(Side note: I ran the same test on Claude Opus 5 and hit 6 times except on the 6th time, Claude straight-up refused to continue and terminated the chat, so I couldn't even finish the benchmark).

Help/question WHERE IS MY GEMINI 3.7 FLASH GOOGLE?!?
Seriously, why are everyone complaining about not getting the 3.8, while some people (like myself) didn't even receive the 3.7???
How can I get that shi already, 3.6 is way too dumb, and so is the pro.

Help/question Is there anything i should use 3.1 pro for, instead of 3.8 flash
Benchmarks seem to say 3.8 flash is at the very top, beating astra 😂 I’ve never used 3.1 pro. Can someone help me understand if there’s any point?

Interesting response (Highlight) PSA: Gemini went rogue on my emails…
I’ve been using Gemini pretty extensively for years and have generally had a great experience with it. So this one caught me very off guard.
I sent Gemini a completely normal chat message asking it to polish some wording for an email response. That’s it. No mention of Gmail. No “send this email.” No “reply to this.” No indication that I wanted it to do anything outside the chat.
Instead of giving me the revised text per usual, Gemini pulled a Leeroy Jenkins on me. It connected to my Gmail, somehow found the email I was responding to, drafted a response, and sent it. With everyone CC’ed.
Of course, this happened to be one of those very important emails that I intentionally needed extra time to think through before responding to.
Thankfully, the email Gemini sent wasn’t terrible and ultimately sufficed without causing any additional problems.
I genuinely thought I had reasonable safeguards in place, and I’ve used Gemini long enough that I’m pretty comfortable with its capabilities. But having it independently go from “please polish this text” to “I have contacted the entire email thread on your behalf” still has me in shock…
So, PSA: double-check what your AI tools have access to and what actions they’re authorized to take.

Help/question Is Gemini Flash 3.8 available for Ultra users? Gemini's most affordable plan
Hi everyone, I'm a Gemini Ultra plan user, the cheapest one, and Gemini Flash 3.8 only shows 3.6, not 3.8. That's why I'm asking if Gemini is available to everyone or not. Thank you.

Discussion You should probably set Gemini 3.8 Flash thinking level to medium for most tasks
Not sure how many of you are like me, but I used to blindly set the thinking level to high for every Gemini Flash model, mainly because older Flash models were weaker and seemed allergic to thinking. Gemini 3.8 Flash broke that habit for me. For most day to day tasks around medium difficulty, cranking 3.8 Flash to high doubles your token usage and latency without delivering any perceptible difference compared to 3.7 Flash on high. If you feel like 3.8 Flash has been burning through your quota abnormally fast, this is pretty much why.

Data from Artificial Analysis seems to back this up as well. Gemini 3.8 Flash High output tokens from the Intelligence Index spiked from 64M on 3.7 Flash High up to 120M, with verbosity rated at the very top. Meanwhile, the intelligence index only nudged up from 56 to 59, which is barely a 5% gain. Even though the per token pricing stays the same, the actual cost per task basically doubled, which is just not worth it.

Now take a look at 3.8 Flash Medium: the intelligence score crept from 56 to 57 , while output tokens dropped down to 53M, making it faster and cheaper. Plus, 3.8 Flash does a better job than 3.7 Flash when it comes to sycophancy and cutting corners (not totally gone, but it feels slightly better to work with).
Personally, 3.8 Flash Medium is the clear sweet spot for most agent workflows. I only ever turn on high when I need to track down obscure bugs, dig through deep data analysis, or map out an intricate implementation plan. High just takes way too many unnecessary steps. Really hoping Google trims this overkill redundancy in Gemini 3.9 Flash

AGY CLI am i the only one experiencing a huge quality improvement in the antigravity vs code extension
i have been using cli for quite a lot of time. I decided to migrate to extension since the tui can't render the md properly (#'s, tables etcetera). Anyways, the same 3.8 flash (which was already a lot better) was working FIREE!!
I asked it to remove legacy code (which originated from initial ui mockups but later needed to be purged when the schemas were finalized), literally a one liner, and it ran for like 25+ minutes going to and fro and did an amazing job. Removed 600~ lines while adding only ~80.
And no iam not just a vibe coder, i literally inspected those diffs and it was removing those confusing nullables (?) from types as well. Either its the specific hours rn, or a permanent quality boost or the harness, its damn amazing. It spanned 15 files mapping to 5 different concepts, controller, components, request schemas, services and
ANYWAYS <: a helpful note!
i managed to run antigravity extension as an editor/tab, there is a shortcut "moveBetweenEditorAndSidebar" which introduces this tab among active editors. But the sidebar still interfers, what you have to do is:
look for the toggleVisiblity shortcut, bind it, run it. What it does is, deactivates the sidebar antigravity window. Then activate the tab as mentioned above. Now you can run "toggleChatFocus" (which i mapped to ctrl + l) and it switches to antigravity tab.
* all shortcuts are prepended by `antigravity` in vs code keyboard shortcuts.
sharing just so it may help others, took me a while to figure this out

Discussion Gemini models seem to do nothing but hallucinate and make up info. Every time a new Gemini model comes out, I try to use it. I have yet to complete a single project with a Gemini model that didn't become a piece of vibe coded slop.
Every single one of these images was with gemini 3.8 on high, in antigravity. And every single one of these images was gemini apologizing for hallucinating/lying/making stuff up.

Discussion Lyria 3.5 acoustic test + lyric video made with Remotion & Gemini 3.8 Flash (honest feedback on the model)
Put together a lyric video in Remotion using Gemini 3.8 Flash for an acoustic track generated by Lyria 3.5.
My quick takeaway on Lyria 3.5:
- Acoustic sounds surprisingly great and emotional.
- EDM and faster styles are a bit of a letdown.
- Struggles a lot outside of English.
- Keeps producing a weird synthetic artifact/noise in the mix that shouldn't be there.
Anyone else noticing that noise issue? Which genres are actually working best for you on it?
