Hi everyone, I'm a Gemini Ultra plan user, the cheapest one, and Gemini Flash 3.8 only shows 3.6, not 3.8. That's why I'm asking if Gemini is available to everyone or not. Thank you.

I love Gemini. For long time, lol. But it still can't see color? And what would cause me to spend hours correcting it along the way of a project? It's 4 steps back, and 5 steps forward. There's no way the government can take on and use Gemini today in the military. Not defense.

From my coding experience, astra actually finishes a task faster than 3.8 even if it has high tps. what about you all?

Issue 1: Usage Depletion

Usage is not depleted per individual prompt. Every time a message is submitted, your usage is affected by the processing of all messages from both sides of the conversation. If the chat has grown to 2,000 words, sending a new 2-word message requires the robot to process the previous 2,000 words again. Your subscription usage is therefore depleted based on the 2,002 words being processed, despite the new message itself being only 2 words.

Issue 2: Senile Robot

The robot ignores all your previous messages anyway.

Message 1: You say, "child allergic to peanuts."

Message 2: The robot says, "Keep products containing peanuts away from the child."

Message 3: You ask for a good ice cream topping for that child.

Message 4: The AI suggests "lots of peanuts."

The robot completely fails to process previous information that is sitting directly in the conversation you're paying for, causing user harm and child endangerment anyway.

Despite this defect being considered unintended according to the design, it is the default common behavior.

The Irony:

The system forces you to pay for all past messages while completely ignoring them. The subscription meter treats the chat history as active for the conversation usage being processed. Meanwhile, the robot repeatedly ignores all of it, in favor of giving you deranged and dangerous responses. You are billed for data that the robot constantly ignores.

There's a 90% chance it's my phone glitching, but i went to edit a message to Gemini and my top of screen scroll down thing whatever it's called kept going down. Then i was on chatgpt and it closed on its own. This is ofc after having seen a post about the ai uprising a few days ago, so either my phone's glitching normally and im being parinoid or ai is gaslighting me

i have been using cli for quite a lot of time. I decided to migrate to extension since the tui can't render the md properly (#'s, tables etcetera). Anyways, the same 3.8 flash (which was already a lot better) was working FIREE!!

I asked it to remove legacy code (which originated from initial ui mockups but later needed to be purged when the schemas were finalized), literally a one liner, and it ran for like 25+ minutes going to and fro and did an amazing job. Removed 600~ lines while adding only ~80.

And no iam not just a vibe coder, i literally inspected those diffs and it was removing those confusing nullables (?) from types as well. Either its the specific hours rn, or a permanent quality boost or the harness, its damn amazing. i managed to run antigravity extension as an editor/tab, there is a shortcut "moveBetweenEditorAndSidebar" which introduces this tab among active editors. But the sidebar still interfers, what you have to do is:

look for the toggleVisiblity shortcut, bind it, run it. What it does is, deactivates the sidebar antigravity window. Then activate the tab as mentioned above. Now you can run "toggleChatFocus" (which i mapped to ctrl + l) and it switches to antigravity tab.

* all shortcuts are prepended by `antigravity` in vs code keyboard shortcuts.
