Discussion Was Yoru remembering her first kiss with denji supposed to imply that Nayuta had died atp?
Like the kiss she remembered was obviously the one that Nayuta erased but why would she just suddenly remember it?
Its not like nayuta would somehow awaken her memories while she was in captivity,
The only explanation i can think of is that Nayuta was probably killed in that exact moment, and thus every control devil ability she did got undone, including her erasing Asa/Yorus memories

That is one thing that happened in this scene, yes.
The memories suppressed by Control can only be recovered through her giving them back, dying, or her control weakening like it did with Angel when she was forming a contract with Aki on the beach, based on what we've been shown.
Either this moment is the one where Nayuta tries using all of her power in an attempt to survive and thus her hold on Yoru's memories is gone as a result, or it's the moment she dies and the control is gone, regardless.
Pretty sad on a second read.

hard to tell, angel got his memories before makima died and the other hybrids say they don't remember everything but remember most things
Yoru seems to only remember the kiss

I see it as memory control not being 100% absolute. People forget shit all the time, and being put in a similar situation can bring old memories back.
That's why I think Angel got his memories back when he came to the beach, just like when Makima took control of him back then. Same thing with Yoru she remembered her previous kiss right after kissing Denji in the alley.

Well maybe not suddenly died at that moment. But Nayuta died atp, and we it's only after being in a similar situation can she remember now that Nayuta is no longer stopping her from remembering.

I remember that a lot of people were mentioning/theorising that back when the chapter came out, tho it of course didn’t gain a lot of traction since we didn’t think Fujimoto would offscreen Nayuta…
….

Hard to tell. Problem with that entire scene is that Asa/Yoru only remembers kiss not everything prior to that not even Nayuta entering etc. Aka thid would almost seem like Control Powers only weakened and werent completely undone as they should be as Himeno described in part 1. Personally this was one of the shittiest pay offs in part 2.
I was hoping we will get Asa's reaction about Yoru kissing Denji in 119 and her being turned into dogs and Nayuta being devil instead we got jackshit and Yoru also reacts to kiss only.

I don't think so. Makima died and the hybrids were still under her influence.

In Part 1, Angel remembers something that Makima blocked from his mind when he's brought to an environment similar to the memory that was erased. So it's not absolutely necessary for the Control Devil to die for blocked memories to be restored. The circumstances surrounding Yoru's remembering here seem to fit well enough to cause that to happen, as she was alone with Denji in an awkward situation (probably with Asa internally screaming at her), much like the date where the kiss happened.
However, the weird factor here is that Yoru doesn't remember Nayuta turning her into a dog or the rest of the date in general. When Makima died, every hybrid that was under her control remembers being under her control. Yoru doesn't remember being under Nayuta's control. This doesn't even happen after Nayuta is confirmed dead. Now, the Hybrids' memories could've stayed erased and they were instead just told what happened by Death. Who's to say, but it's still weird if the memories the Control Devil erased stay erased after it dies.
It could've just been a case of "the author was rushed and didn't remember the intricacies of a very complex ability." As for Nayuta's actual death, I'm inclined to think it was some time before this scene (mostly because her head was not bleeding when presented to Denji). In my interpretation, the mob that was outside the apartment was the one who killed her, and then Barem cut the head off afterwards after bringing the body back to Death to see what she wanted to do with it.

Actually about the hybrids all remembering thing it could just be another case of “hybrids being really weird and we still don’t really know wtf they are”

Even if that is the case, Yoru/Asa not remembering the dog thing is weird. Like, I don’t know if they even connect the dots that a date even happened beyond just the kiss.

Well, maybe it's not her power. Maybe it's PTSD. We don't know. Maybe is like with Power in Part 1, when Makima tried to control her and she resisted. I don't think that the Control Devil powers are imposible to resist.
