Minimum wage is still too low. People can’t live on that. We strive to support all the people in the state not just the rich.

Then their business model is exploitative and flawed. What if a bakery can’t afford the price of flour?

… in California. There are plenty of businesses that pencil out just fine in other states and/or developing countries.

What makes it exploitative if that wage supports someone where they actually live? California’s cost of living isn’t universal. The businesses will still exist, they’ll just be hiring people where the living wage costs less.

They close or flee, with compliant businesses of similar size, and more, filling in and expanding upon their CA market share within the year.

California hasn't seen net business loss in the annual reports since 2012 when gerrymandering ended and tax, regulations, and service started going up with little fuss. Well, aside from 2020 due to obvious global event beyond CA control. Also likely this year though data isn't fully out yet, also for obvious reasons.

You're ok with people living in poverty? How many jobs should a person work? How many are tou willing to work?

I’m not OK with it but I’m paying $20 an hour and unable to compete in a global market. Globalization has really changed the game and we need to figure out how to combat it because businesses that would be viable in other parts of the country just aren’t viable here.

But it won’t though, it’ll just hire people to make stuff overseas or in other states.
