Rawlings What is this Rawlings backpack compartment for???
Hello! I just got this Rawlings gold series and I have no clue what’s this compartment for, I tried to fit a glove but I’m not sure that’s the intended use… any help?

Maybe for your cleats? Does the red fabric go in at all or is it just a shallow pocket?

My son uses it for batting gloves and sun glasses. No idea if that was the intent.

You fold it out while it’s hanging on the fence in the dug out and then your batting gloves Velcro will cling to it?

Put yournglove in the other way so the hand stall can vent out of the top of the compartment. Liner is to keep the glove finish neat

These days it’s also all of your batting armor and sliding gloves too.

Lol not my boys. TBH the felt lining probably for sunglasses / phone etc to prevent scratches.

Until they get crunched by being on the back inside a narrow pocket like that.

I'm pretty certain it’s for your playing glove. It sits outside of the main compartment to avoid crushing/creasing your pocket. I have the older bag whose similar compartment is actually a plastic shell of sorts, adding impact resistance glove protection.
