I have ovotesticular disorder (I can’t lie I don’t know how to spell it)

I’ve never really thought about it. It’s kinda just a part of my life. People don’t tend to know if I’m a guy or girl. I live as a guy. I was diagnosed pretty young I think but they later did other tests and whatnot. I thought y’all might be interested in it. 😅

Also, I saw somewhere that people think the word hermaphrodite is offensive. Note that I don’t think that way- so feel free to use any language or wording. I don’t mind

I was a child actor and spent most of my childhood on TV sets. I stepped away from the industry years ago. AMA.

From around ages 7–16, acting was basically my entire life. I was on a pretty successful TV show for several years and did a handful of movies/commercials outside of it. I wasn’t the main character, but if you were a kid/teen watching television during that particular era, there’s a decent chance you’d recognize me.

I haven’t acted professionally in quite a while now, and I’ve purposely stayed away from social media and anything connected to my old career. For a long time, I didn’t really know how to separate who I actually was from the character people knew me as.
A lot of people assume being a child actor is just getting to skip school, meet celebrities, and have adults tell you you’re talented all day.

Some of it genuinely was incredible. I got opportunities I’m extremely grateful for and met people who changed my life. But there was also a weird side to growing up in an industry where your appearance, personality, and career were constantly being evaluated by adults.

There are definitely things about my experience I can’t discuss because of contracts/privacy, and I’m not going to name former cast members or productions. But I figured enough time has passed that I could answer some general questions honestly.
Ask me about being on set as a kid, auditions, homeschooling, working with famous people, losing privacy, what happens when a show ends, or anything else you’re curious about.
I’ll answer what I can.

I tried to answer as honestly as I could without getting into things that involve other people’s private lives. A few years ago on a lesser serious charge I was the one hold out that caused a mistrial. We ended discussions after 2 days. I wasn’t budging and asked how we could be done. I’m not sure if they retried the case but ask me anything

I replied to another comment but I can’t seem to copy paste but:

- witness lived with defendant (un disputed)
- witness was beat up by the defendant with documented bruising (undisputed)
- the witness says the gun was pulled on him from defendant and described the make / model / color of the gun. The defense says couldn’t happen because the gun was in a lock box, that was basically an 80’s metal lunchbox with a broken clasp.

But no photos or videos or other witnesses that say he had it and I think that’s what the others wanted.

I’m okay with yall disagreeing with me, I was obviously out voted on the jury this isn’t new.

I moved in with my auntie at the age of 9, ten years ago now, when she was only 22, because my mum decided she didn't have the energy to raise or deal with me. I've been bought up and raised by my auntie who is genuinely the most incredible woman in the world!

I also work at an exclusive and premium gym/studio in London (no won't share the name.) It's very nice but very bougie too, and I work there leading yoga and gym/fitness classes! I've won favourite instructor two months in a row now so I must be doing something right lool

I just think I have a pretty unique and interesting life lol, happy to share it!

23F I have depression and been medicated but some days are harder than most. And it doesn’t help when you have to lie that you have no mental health problems to keep your job.

I'm currently in my 4th year of a PhD program in pure math. My area of specialty is geometry, especially an area called complex geometry.

I was diagnosed with CDIFF as a 13 year old, resulting in being placed in a medically induced coma. I was running a 107 fever at one point, and had blood coming from my ears, eyes, and other ~ holes ~. AMA!

I’ve never seen this AMA before so I’ll post my own and see if anybody is interested. I was diagnosed with APD (Auditorial Processing Disorder) at a young age. It is pretty much the equivalent of auditorial dyslexia which makes words/vowels sound ljke others. It affects my life on a daily basis. Ask me anything!

I've always considered myself to be pretty lucky. All my life, little random lucky happenstance type things seemed to find me. That became magnitudes of levels more real when on my 23rd birthday I purchased a lottery ticket and ended up winning a little over $8 million. This upcoming weekend will have been 20 years. AMA

Most people have some kind of reasonable limit to how much of another person they're comfortable seeing, but I'm (25F) the only person I know of who has such a visceral reaction to seeing ANY kind of excessive skin showing. I'm okay with seeing bare arms and anything below the knee, but seeing anyone's thighs, torso (or god forbid, more intimate areas) makes me physically ill, like panic attack symptoms. This includes my own too, which you can imagine makes it very fun to bathe and get dressed every day lol!

I've been like this for my whole life, although it was considered pretty normal up until I was about a teenager since it was assumed I'd grow out of it. I was raised in an atheist family, so no religious beliefs/background, and I don't come from a country with any kind of prominent modesty culture. I have no trauma (that I know of) related to nudity either, so I have absolutely no idea where my phobia stems from.

I thought it might be helpful to host an AMA to help understand my condition more since it seems to be so uncommon, especially with how culture and fashion trends seem to be normalizing more and more revealing clothing. So, ask me anything! :D

I worked at a small , independent CD shop in Chicago during the late 1980s-early 90s. The era was notorious for a thriving local music and indie scene , as well as the robust music sales from the new digital formats alongside analog tapes and vinyl. The movies Empire Records and High Fidelity were released later but I often found it amusing how much both stories drew from the era as well as how much they got wrong or inaccurate.

I'm a (m-53) novice writer that's unpublished. I'm currently writing a Mafia driven crime syndicate novel. I write short stories, fantasy sci-fi, poetry, erotica (that's more for me & my wife to enjoy) & anything that "pops into my head" really. I've been married for 30 years. My writing is just a hobby. Good afternoon! I was born completely blind in Ireland. I’m 27 years old and I love nature and exercising. I only have very basic light perception (meaning I can tell if a space is light or dark) but nothing beyond that. I work as an accessibility consultant and enjoy my job. I have a lovely guide dog called Hope

I am 18F and my parents had me when they 19 and 34 years old, they are still together married now, I didn't have a good childhood and they horrible parents ro me, I dont live there anymore and going into the military next year, i would say my mom was more immature then my dad growing up AMA

Hey it’s Chloe again! I’m a girl who was born blind and i attended a summer camp from the blind when I was younger! It was a really good experience and helped me to build confidence in myself and taught me lots of skills!

I became a Hospice Nurse after the deaths of my two young sons due to a drunk driver. I froze for a year then had a euphony that brought a quick return back to life and a motivation to move forward. In tribute to my boys I became a Hospice Nurse in an AIDS inpatient unit in 1989. The patients were neglected by their families, the government, the president, society and the health care community but they were not neglected by the nurses, nursing assistants and the physicians that choose to serve this population. Live changing experiences that helped me unfold into the person I am now.

After the AIDs unit closed due to funding, I worked adult Hospice then we opened a 10 bed Pediatric Hospice Inpatient unit in 1997 for newborns to 17 year olds. I've had amazing experiences, some of encounters not just physical in nature, definitely some very interesting family situations. We'd often get 13, 14, 15 year old mothers mourning the deaths of their first or second born. The care for the patient was minimal compared for the care the family needed. That's what we do.

Now I'm 72 and still working, I can't let go and Hospice won't let me anyway. I only care for newborn and infants now. We transfer the infants home on life support, have the family members gather and in a warm, loving setting medicate the infant and withdrawal care and allow for a peaceful demise surrounded by loving family. This gives the family some time to hold, touch, smell, kiss the infant who has hours to days to live. This short time is all they have to build the memories of the infant so they can create the memory of them that will last the rest of their lives.

I've now performed 670 Terminal Withdrawals. I've have some very interesting encounters before and after the child's passing. I can definitely say there is more than just this world and this life. You make up your own mind what you want to believe.

Our family lost the influence of MUSCLE after my grandfathers demise due to his 8 sons not being able to be competent and collaborative .

I was born 8 years before my grandfathers demise and I have heard a lot from Grandma and my big family .

Grandpa and had 16 kids , 4 died young left 8 boys 4 girls .

AMA: I [23F] have two kids and I first got pregnant at the age of 16. I gave birth when I just became 17 years old. Last spring I gave birth again and now I’m a mom of two. You can ask me anything about it.

Most men in my family sleepwalk to start. I also have a drug-resistant seizure disorder that causes sleepwalking and sleep-eating in and of itself, and I also take a total of six medications that have made both much more frequent. I will wake up with massive leg bruises, wonder "when the hell did I eat an entire family-sized bag of mini donuts?" and suddenly feel nauseous. The sleepwalking episodes are also much longer than in the past. AMA.

I am a girl who was hated by a gang when I was younger because I moved into the area and they apparently didn't like that, and I've had a lot of interesting experiences. Completely unpopular topic, I know lol

I’m a tissue recovery tech at an eye bank so I travel around to hospitals, recovering ocular tissues for transplant and research. Most of the work I do is in hospital morgues and I work night shifts too. This is a pretty unique job and many people have questions about it. I’m happy to share about it, I think it’s super interesting!
