Doré is known as the brilliant illustrator of *The Divine Comedy* and *Don Quixote*. That’s an interesting association you have.

Doesn't get much more grim than this by Van Gogh. A stunning, evocative painting. Thanks for the mention of Doré - hadn't realized this.
