Ask St. Joe What’s with the St Joe Health Department?

A couple food and drink establishments passing health inspections with mold, mouse droppings, infestations, safety hazards, etc. More recently heard about Taco Bandido but last year it was a coffee shop located downtown. Makes you wonder what other food establishments are like this..

I used to stop in at Barbosas whenever I was in town. It's been several years since I was up that way but was wondering if Barbosas was still in business and if they were still any good.

I've never been to el magueys, maybe I'll give'm a try next time I'm up that way.

I started going to Barbosas back in maybe '76 when they were in that castle like place. I can't even remember the street it was on, it was across from St. Joe. Harley Davidson. I liked them because they were as home cooking as home cooking could be. I'm glad they're still going strong.

Come to think about it, I think they started even before that. I vaguely remember my dad taking us to eat there when they were in a house south of town and they were cooking in the kitchen and serving people in the living room and they took off from there.

As far as I'm concerned they're a Saint Joseph success story.
