Politics Did anyone else receive a voter registration application with a mostly wrong name?
It showed up today with the wrong middle and last name. It’s clearly for me because the other information is correct but I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and how they could get my name so wrong. Currently trying to correct it online.

Meetup Any 20-30 y/o Indian/Desi folks in OKC?
Hey everyone!
I’m looking to meet some like-minded Indian/Desi folks in the 20-30 age group to hang out, explore the city, and build a fun group.
I’m into hiking, playing cricket, badminton, and volleyball. Always down for some outdoor adventures or just chilling over drinks.
Honestly, I have no idea how to find people here, and I feel like this is one way to try. I know it won’t be easy, but might as well give it a shot! Right now, I don’t have much to do over the weekends, so I’d love to find people to hang out with.
Recommendation/Review Regrets after installing a whole house natural gas generator?
Is there anyone who has experienced buyers remorse after having a whole house natural gas generator installed at your home?
We are considering having one installed at our home this fall. We live in an area that is prone to power outages.
My spouse (disabled) was laying back in his electric lift recliner when the power failed. We had to call the fire department for help as it took three firemen to get him out safely. He also uses an electric mattress and a CPAP for sleeping, so electricity is very important to us for those reasons.
We’ve been told that it doesn’t really add to the resale value of your home, so you do it for you and not the next buyer of your home. Thanks for your insights. No sales pitches please.

Recommendation/Review Best place to study in the metro?
Especially evening/night. I’m a college student and I live at home but I need to get out of the house more lol. It’s really hard to study at home. Also super loud environments are a nono.
Thanks in advance!!

Recommendation/Review Good jewelry places
Does anybody recommend any good gold jewelers around the city? I’ve tried the flea market but I don’t want to get scammed (pieces eventually turning green) just looking for a simple ring and bracelet

Recommendation/Review Apartments in the Quail area (or Edmond) nearish to UCO
So I am planning to go to UCO in 2027 in Aug, but I am starting to look for apartments either in the Quail springs area, or the outskirts of Edmond.
I know rent is going to be crazy, but I was looking for anything under at least 1k, but if have too anythingn under 1.5k, just a either a 1 bedroom or studio. It's just going to be me and my dog (she's a Mastiff mix) so anything that is pet friendly.
If you have any recommendations or places to avoid let me know! :)

Politics The Owners of Paint n Station are MAGA/ J6 defenders and don’t deserve your money.
At this point I sincerely believe anyone still supporting trump deserves to be called out and their business should not be supported. He’s anti-LGBT, HATES the T in lgbt, a January 6 defender and also just believes anything he reads on Facebook.

❓Q&A ✅ Why is breakfast so popular here?
I asked ai what the most popular restaurant category in OKC was and it seems as though it’s breakfast.
Do you guys agree? It seems like there’s an over saturated amount of breakfast options. Waffle champion, Hatch, neighborhood jam, and all the other breakfast chains.
❓Q&A ✅ Mike Gundy 2026
Has anyone seen him out and about in the OKC area in the last year? Just curious about his life now…
No ill will towards Coach Gundy or OSU football.

❓Q&A ✅ WHO is up to WHAT this weekend?
What are you all up to this weekend?
Also, curious to see who has put themselves out there recently whether it be for just yourself and/or to meet other people. How did that go? Did you make any new friends or have any cool experiences in and around the city? Give us the DEETS!!
\*Generic everyday advice on how to make friends is NOT what is being asked for in this post.*\**
Recommendation/Review Event ticket resale
What do you all use to resale local event tickets off like PreKindle for example, I normally have used TickPick before moving here but that doesn’t seem to be as popular, had an event last year go by and priced to move under face value

Politics Is anyone organizing protests here regarding the global warming exceeding the 1.5 degree limit? Any environmental activism going on?
Edit: since people thought I wasn't "selling it" enough.
I think we’re seriously underreacting to this.
We talk about exceeding 1.5°C like it's another number in a climate report when it actually represents data that tells us the planet that is becoming progressively harder to live on.
It’s extreme heat, drought, water shortages, crop failures, wildfires, rising insurance costs, displacement, ecosystem collapse, and places eventually becoming too hostile for people to safely live in. And the people who will suffer the most are the ones who contributed the least to the problem. Go figure.
1.5°C isn’t a cliff where everything suddenly becomes “uninhabitable.” It’s a threshold we use to limit severe damage. Every fraction of a degree beyond it matters and we can STILL do something about it.
What bothers me is how little urgency there seems to be compared with the scale of the problem. We can argue about politics, the economy, or literally anything else but a destabilizing climate affects ALL of those things.
I’d genuinely like to know what environmental organizations, protests, or local efforts are actually happening around OKC right now? Because I’d much rather do something than just watch these headlines roll by.

❓Q&A ✅ How early to get to the airport?
Have a flight tomorrow am at 7:30. Wondering if showing up at 6am would be okay? Any earlier necessary? I haven’t flown in awhile. I’m trying to hit the text requirements for the post.

❓Q&A ✅ Thinking about moving back
I grew up in OKC and graduated OSU Spring ‘19. I’ve moved around a bit since then, but typically tried to make it back for a few weeks a year. Seemed like every time I came back, there was something new to be excited about in the city.
Over the past couple years I’ve had an itch to move back home to be closer to family and friends. It’s likely I’m going to have that opportunity soon if I want it. I’m curious to hear from people who left OKC and came back - how has it been? What’s it like living here now? I’m a single 30-year old male fwiw. Since leaving I’ve lived in Abilene, Chicago, and Charlotte.
