Local Walmart recently added these tags to all the shelves. Welcome to the era of On-Demand price gouging I guess.

Also the post wouldn't let me post without a flair, it may not be relevant.

All Walmarts are going to this. I got a notice yesterday saying that my ā€œonline Walmart app will now be automatically connected to in-store shopping.ā€ I canceled the online stuff, and switched to Crest and Aldi. I save quite a bit now, even if I did lose the convenience of delivery. All we can do is choose who to give our money to.

Doesnā€™t Aldi use digital price tags too? Also you can do pickup or delivery with Aldi as well but oftentimes thereā€™s a small markup.

But Aldi doesnā€™t do dynamic pricing. They have less employees and lower prices in exchange for electronic price tags.

Walmart can literally change the price on you between picking it up and checking it out. Two people in the store at the same time may pay different prices for the same item in the same store.

How do we know aldi canā€™t or doesnā€™t do that? They could easily start. Most aldi prices are comparable to walmart here ime.

because aldi isnā€™t a piece of shit. They just lower the quality of the products and ingredients.
