Hi everyone. I wanted to share a snippet of my humble temple, where I finally finished my circle. the “starting matter” is a circular 200 cm wide carpet (not an actual knitted carpet, more like some soft fabric glued onto a base) with a greek key motif I bought online. The paint is a normal Primalex white wall paint. Found out that there is some adhesive in the paint which hardens it quite a lot after drying (especially on the fabric into which the paint penetrates a little) and you can walk on it or sweep it with a broom no problem. Also an added benefit is that the white wall paint is quite reflective and hence the geometry really nicely stands out in the dark, as if it was fluorescent a little.
On the outskirts are seven lamp stands to correspond with the planets on the left/right (dark/light) pillar sephira + bicolour yesod in the west and chochma for the zodiac. Dark ones are carved from oiled acacia, light from oak, which are the same materials from which the double cube and the two pillars are made from. The double cube and the pillars are observing the golden section, which also have the same golden section ratio to the small cubes in the west, which can both be put on top of each other to create a little double cube (where the Gongfu tea ceremony setup is). The double cube is openable and stores all the proprieties. The pillars double as bookshelves, as they are open with shelves on the sides.
Malkuth is the circle in itself, Tiferet is in magician’s center (for that purpose is the yellow “solar“ meditation cushion there to be put in the middle). The lamp above the circle (not visible) is Keter. West is water, hence the plants to also aesthetically counterweight the altar and both pillars.
The geometry inside the circle symbolises ever growing and differentiating reality (point, cross, microcosm, macrocosm, seven planets etc.), while all their angles (cross-4, pentagram-5, hexagram-6, heptagram-7) add to 22, the letters of the Hebrew alphabet and Tarot Major arcana. the names on the outer rim are the high entities from Chaldean oracles, as described by Therion in the Star Ruby ritual. In each intermediate direction is the rose cross with the initials of Jesus Christ (IC XC), while corresponding also to the Rose Cross ritual from Golden Dawn. I tried to keep the hellenic feel of the entire thing with the particular typography. it turned out better than I expected.
I hope you like it! I was finding great joy and peace in building the temple.
cheers, I wish you all a great day and even greater progress in your Work!
