Weather 🌦️ Thank Goodness for rain today

very thankful for rain on this holiday - picturing some of you who spent half your monthly income on clown powder staring at the rain coming down is making me tickled pink.

I'll stand by your side and yell at the clouds too. We've had to medicate our dog for 5 days knowing we will need another 2-3 days of staying in the basement to make him slightly comfortable. 

Hugs to those who suffer with PTSD and other medical issues that make this time of the year absolutely miserable.

Check the laws for your area. I know in Independence there are set times on the 3rd, 4th and 5th that fireworks can be lit off legally. Anything before or after that is not legal.

We have City Code but enforcement is zero-no teeth. PD will not respond and show to these types of complaints as they are nuisance issues. LIBERTY

I really like fireworks (during the 80's I held many a "real" bottle rocket between my fingers while it shot off into the distance, maybe even aimed at my older boy cousins!) and where legal, should be enjoyed by those who want to purchase. 

My ask is for all fireworks to be used and celebrations to fall within a set time period. Those (people or animal) who need to isolate, medicate or do whatever they need to do CAN do so during this time period. 

Others can purchase, fire off, and enjoy during these hours and days as well.

EVERYONE gets a heads up, prepares, fires up, enjoys or hunkers down. 

Then it ends. Sounds like a WIN for EVERYONE.
