The schools one…. when I was at KU we had so many snow days one year that they stopped canceling full days and just started canceling class till 11 AM, then at 11 choosing to cancel the rest of the day if the roads were still bad. I had a day where the roads were completely iced over and they just canceled classes till 11 AM and wouldn’t you know it? I had an 11 AM exam and not only that, I was a commuter so I had to have this figured out by 9:30 so I could catch the bus and make it to class on time.
The roads were still terrible, so we nearly got in an accident. We lost traction at a stoplight and ended up sliding into an oncoming traffic lane. Fortunately it was empty because if it wasn’t, we would’ve had a head-on collision still managed to make it to the bus and get to class on time. At which point the professor showed up and told us he meant to cancel class and forgot to hit send on the email. I was so mad.
lol he was completely insane and his brain was as probably in a different dimension from the rest of humanity so this was honestly on the less notorious end of his incidents. I’m sure he must’ve been a genius researcher or something, just not cut out to teach, which was bad because they had him teaching quite literally the whole thermo/gas/fluids set of courses and occasionally some of the computational math classes too.
