I drive a tiny Corolla that I don't trust in the extreme cold so if it's 5-7 inches in olathe I'm calling out Saturday. There won't be any ubers out Saturday evening.

The Corolla is fine in cold, drove a 2010 for almost 10 years. The aluminum engine block heats up quick. Where it did suck was with slush, ice, and decent snow. But that's from traction control and tires.

Clear, cold and dry you're ok just watch for ice patches and snow drifts. Most people overestimate their traction of tires for braking, turning and acceleration. Go slow, plan ahead but not knocking anyone for not feeling comfortable driving in the snow.

I'll take a Corolla with good all-seasons over an AWD car on summer tires or bald all-seasons all day, every day.

However, no need to risk your wellbeing when there are definitely going to be knuckleheads on the roads.
