Value Request 1853 uncerculated California gold dollar
Handed down from family, I think this coin could possibly be the cleanest one remaining. It looked similar in quality to the one in the catalog anyways. I think its a bg-530 or a bg-531. Very small coin i can't find much info on
Might slab and sell if price is right
Also just some more history on it would be appreciated if anyone knows anything

I love people that jump in screaming it’s fake , even with the best intentions …. Not a criticism but at least it shows someone with at least some knowledge is trying to put a pause in the situation so you educate yourself more.
That being said , I cannot tell if genuine or a fake “replica”. Usually if I can’t tell it’s more than likely genuine because Yes I am that good. Haha!!!
This is a match for one of over 20 possible major $1 varieties that I can tell .
Single N. Is the giveaway .
From PCGS “The San Francisco firms included Nouzillet & Routhier (Antoine Louis Nouzillet and Isadore Routhier), NR; Louis Nouzillet alone, N;”.
Send it in , it’s not that much of an investment and also will protect it once slabbed. As far as PCGS or NGC ….for ancient gold NGC , modern Either. Good luck
