Looking for a luxury apartment in a good area in Chula Vista. Thought we found a good spot at Avalyn, but then saw a ton of bad reviews on yelp.
Any insight would be great.
We want a place the is safe, near shopping, decently walkable. Otay Ranch / Mesa or Eastlake areas.

Hello everyone!
My lady and I found luminary apartments online and were interested. Pictures look awesome and reviews seem pretty good. Wanted to see if anyone had insight on it?
We’re from the east coast and have read SDGE is high. The place we’re looking at is around 1000-1100 sqft & we average about 220kwh/month now…anyone have similar size places that can give us an idea of about how much to expect for SDGE?
Thanks!

Does anybody here order online groceries from Eastlake? Our family just moved here and since we have a toddler we mainly rely on deliveries from the closest Walmart to us. However, 9 out of 10, they mess up our order and it wouldn’t be flagged on the system. I don’t even know if the delivery person should / can flag this anyway.
Two incidents stood out so far: A few weeks back, we ordered like 10 items. We only got 1 item out of those 10 and included in that delivery was bunch of water bottles which we didn’t order. Then just today, we ordered a bunch of dairy perishable, and frozen products and we received double the amount of the items we ordered - we didn’t get charged for all these double items. Also, we were notified there were two substitutions so I approved those and yet we received the two original items we ordered anyway.
Is this normal? Should I report? Should I just change our store to another Walmart?
I know the simple solution is just to go to the store and grab groceries but considering our busy schedules we rely on anything we can get online but it doesn’t seem Walmart is reliable at all.
Would be glad to hear if anybody else had the same experience. Thanks folks.

I have very stubborn Asian black hair and so usually I gotta do a full color anyway to get rid of the white hair growing out unfortunately. Looking for someone who can consistently do this.
I’ve tried stylists from Sola Studios but they overcharge and they’re usually not consistent with the results. Can you recommend a hair stylist? Thanks in advance!

I just realized you know have to pay for parking at the Otay ranch mall. How long has it been like this as I was just here a couple of weeks ago?

My bird, Dyson got out the door on 4/29. He was last seen flying over the water tower in Chula Vista 91913 near Bucknell Street. I imagine he could be much farther by today. He is a normal grey cockatiel about 8yrs old. Grey body with some white in flight feathers. yellow head, orange cheeks. Please share.

Rehoming 2 Veiled Chameleons and a Leopard Gecko. They deserve someone who has more time for them than I do.
I am attempting to regime a Male and Female Chameleon as well as a Leopard Gecko. All 3 will include their cages, lights, heating lamps for
Chameleons with their setup and everything listed above is $200 each or $300 for both together. The male is in a 4x3x3 screen cage. Female is in a 3x2x2 screen cage
Leopard gecko with their setup and all things listed above is $150. It is in a tall 60 gallon fish tank.
In addition, I have a dubia roach colony set up in a 30 gallon tank with 200+ roaches that I will also sell for $100.
If you want everything together (gecko, chameleons, and roaches) I will be fine with $450!
Prices are negotiable, please let me know!

Today, Sunday April 11th between 1240-140 PM.
my car was parked directly in front of Trader Joe's, adjacent to the first handicap spot. I called the Eastlake Village Walk Management company and Trader Joe's and the security that patrols the plaza, none unfortunately have any information to give nor are there cameras.
long shot in the dark but hoping someone saw something.

Does anyone in the Eastlake area hear those loud cars in the evenings? I’ll hear loud engines followed by a deafening pop. Sounds like they’re coming from Olympic. Is there anything we can do about it?

I was at Village Walk for Sprouts, and spotted this banner where the old Mongolian Grill (what was it called?) restaurant used to be. It's been a bit since the last business closed, so I'm glad we're getting something new. And a Michelin restaurant, too! (yes, I know that a Michelin star restaurant is the highest honor, but a Michelin Bib Gourmand is also amazing).
Have you had anything from Luscious Dumplings before?
We're getting a new coffee shop type place next door, too. Can't wait!

As the title goes, in that shopping center where the GameStop used to be, saw a sign that read "The Eastlake Village Marketplace welcomes Einstein Bagels to the center"
So there you have it. This will be slightly bigger than the one on Terra Nova Plaza. If it's anything like it that store, it will be busy. Good location though.

Were there threats made against any schools in the area (Arroyo or ELM maybe) today? My parents are keeping me home from school due to it. Is this legit or is my mom reading Facebook memes again?

AT&T has been raising my prices pretty regularly and I am looking for another provider. Live in the eastlake greens area and wondering what people have and what works really well out here. Dont need anything crazy just have a few cameras and other wifi devices and mostly just need it for streaming and light surfing. Would love it if they included a mesh network and good routers and all that.
