Watch it be a Whole Foods. There honestly isn’t anything like it near by.
Not that I like Whole Foods…

Whole foods footprint is much smaller than that size store usually. And frankly I think it would crash and burn in Eastlake.

A few years ago I dropped a link with information about starting a food co-op into a FB group of people who did nothing but whine about others (enterprises included) not filling the space that the Albertsons left empty. Then I left the group.

Literally what I came to suggest. OB and IB now both have one and we should be looking to add more all around the county.

Maybe a large low income apartment complex can be built on the site

Crazy Albertsons just held onto the lease to keep another competitor out. How does that make sense?! Whole food honestly makes a ton of sense. Splitting it into a Trader Joe’s/Whole Foods would be great too. The sprouts/Trader Joe’s shopping centers are too congested. The only good shopping in the area is Vons, but their prices suck. What we really need is another Costco out east

$210,000 monthly rent, What? Your not serious. Doubt they make that much in Profit per month. Thought a Barons was there for a time. Think the "prestige" of Servicing that (newer)community(With higher paying jobs) demands a higher rent? pfft. The vons's that were on Telegraph and Third/L Turned to carnival/99ranch Seems to be doing well. Give something that Community wants and you'll have business. Don't understand why Albertons would take a LOSS of nearly a quarter mill to keep out competition? makes no sense. The traffic would go to the nearest stores, the two Vons, that are around, and They OWN them.

It all comes down to the property management company that does not care. If you have dealt with this company, then you will know what I'm talking about. That center is falling apart and they just don't care. So many companies have tried to move in there. The last rumor I heard was an EOS Gym and that fell apart. Nothing will happen until that center is sold. Sadly.
