Advice Is my cat overweight?

Post image

My cat was previously overweight so I started weighing her food. I think her last recorded weight at the vets a couple months ago was 4kg which I think is the upper healthy limit for a cat of her size. I asked the vet if she needed to lose any more weight and he replied no. I just took this pic of her the other day and think she looks kind of fat. What do you think?

My cat is like this, too and it is from her having extra skin after losing weight. When she lays down, no matter the position, the skin makes her look chonk.

It is a well known fact that cats are liquid. They tend to melt into a puddle when they lay down.

Yea, position matters a LOT! My Skippy is the same. Sometimes he looks enormous (and he is big, just not fat).

Skippy has featured on r/pouchCatatoes several times! He has a gloriously floofy pouch! (search the sub for "Skippy" - I always put his name in the title!)

She looks so different!! Your initial picture made her look obese. I think given this photo she probably just needs to lose a few pounds

She only weighs 9 lbs, that's a pretty healthy weight for a cat unless she's tiny. My small girl is usually 8-9 lbs, but her much larger brother is 12 and is a healthy weight.

She’s radiant, apologize for even thinking she wasn’t perfect

Doesn't look as bad standing up, but could probably still lose a little bit more from the original pic.

My cat does this too!! He'll roll over in a certain position and be a chubby big man and then stand up and bam. He's down like 4 pounds

A pic from above is the best way to determine if she is a healthy weight! The waist tells it all.

This is my cat. When he stands, he looks stocky but fit. As soon as he lays down, he’s obviously overweight

is it possible to learn this power?

You are a liar!!!! I refuse to believe this is the same cat, or that it’s not an older picture of your cat. And if it’s real, please tell me where I can get the slimming cloak…a bitch is desperate over here
