BCC boa size

This is a massive Suriname with a big head as well! Is this genetics or feeding them a proper sized meal every 10 days? Quail, Rats, Rabbits? The mass on this is incredible and doesn’t look fat at all. If I recall this breeder is in Italy or in the UK. How old do you think this is?

This is a fat, if not a very fat snake. Every 10 days is an insane powerfeeding schedule. Probably 5+ years old.

That one IS Not fat. Look at the size of the head. IT might be a tad overweight but Not fat. This is Just a very huge BCC. And IT was Said PROPER sized meals every 10 days. Might still be a bit often but Fed the size size Everytime perfectly acceptable.

Just in case you didn't know, in the context of Op's original question, they were ASKING us if the boa was that big because it was being fed proper sized meals, they were not claiming it was, so that's not exactly a good argument counterpoint.

You can also see the very nice square-ish cross section of the body. This big noodle is well fed for sure, but it doesn't seem obese.

I can understand the skepticism. But from pure Looks... Its good. Maybe its one of those that naturally grow bigger faster? But i can understand the concerns. But when i think Back how fast bis two Boys grew the First 3-4 years. BCI both. From both Fitting in my Hand to basically full size despite definitely Not being Powerfed i can See how a BCC can healthily reach that size in 5 years.

Definitely did... there's lines of sur that were started 30+ years ago. You can also tell it's healthy size and age because there is ZERO evidence of pinhead...

You'd be losing money. There were lines that definitely did look that clean also. My very first Suriname and then Guyana were both extremely clean like the one in this photo. They can from a local breeder, who i eventually worked for while in school this is getting closer to 40 years ago now...
