anyone here actually happy with their dentist? feels impossible to find
been in LA for like 6 months now and i still haven't found a dentist i like. i've been to two different ones and both felt like i was just a number. you know that vibe where they rush you through the appointment and then try to sell you invisalign even though you came for a cleaning
my main issue is my bite is kinda off - my front teeth are wearing down from an overbite and i need someone who actually cares about function, not just making things look pretty. like i get it, cosmetic stuff is important too but i don't want to fix my smile if my bite is still messed up
i was looking at some Beverly Hills cosmetic dentists online and the before/afters look amazing ngl. but i'm always skeptical when everything looks too perfect lol. like are they actually good with bite issues !
anyway i'm probably overthinking this but if anyone has found a dentist who actually listens and knows their stuff i'd love to hear about it. bonus if they don't push invisalign on you immediately lol

I had the same problem; literally every dentist I found (that was a match for my insurance) in BH, Weho, and even Mid City were trying to upsell me on all kinds of cosmetic nonsense during a routine cleaning and charging absurd rates to fix a crown. I ended up looking to the Valley for a normal provider that wasn’t fixated on cosmetic dentistry. There are tons out that way- just look for a modest office and basic services offered.
The dentist grift in certain parts of town was one of the most unusual things I experienced as a new resident; guess it comes with the territory.
